We had the most magical stay at Maguire House B&B this past weekend! The house is a charming and well-appointed space with comfortable furniture in common areas and plenty of welcoming amenities available for our use (snacks, refreshments, fridge, wine glasses, coffee, etc). Terry and her husband Paul are the sweetest hosts and made us feel most welcome! They were very communicative and flexible with our arrival, provided helpful local recommendations, and made us delicious breakfasts each morning (the baked goods in particular are out of this world!) Both our bedrooms (Wisteria and Rose) were comfortable, clean, and bright, with beautiful views of the gardens, lake, and Mt Monadnock in the background -- it was truly a dream setting to wake up in each day. Air conditioning units in the window and modern blinds were also very appreciated. Finally, we really enjoyed relaxing in the Adirondack chairs on the back deck and hammock, taking in the a gorgeous sunset with a glass of wine and picnic dinner. We 100% recommend this little gem of a B&B and cannot wait to return!

Somehow, we had never booked a bed & breakfast before. Lo and behold, we started at the top. Maguire House sets the bar very high, and we'll be hard pressed to find another that compares. Loved it all, from the beautiful historic house, to the gorgeous grounds, to the delicious breakfasts, but most of all the gracious and friendly hosts. Felt like home to this New England-born (but now a long term New Yorker) boy. Would love to stay there again, anytime!

We stayed at Maguire house while attending a music festival in the area. Terry was the ultimate host and made us feel like we were old friends right from the start. I grew up in and old farmhouse and loved all the detail inside their home, from the furniture to the claw foot tub in our bath. The grounds were perfectly manicured so we sat on the covered porch out back with the view of the lake. Peaceful and quiet for sleeping and a made to order delicious breakfast in the morning. We couldn’t have enjoyed it anymore and have already scheduled a return next year.

Reminded me of the old colonial style with an English touch kind of place. Old, yes, but well maintained. The host - Terry - is attentive, helpful and very accommodating. I stayed here with business colleagues and starting from welcome snacks/cookies to after dinner beer/wine, this was all complimentary. Not that the price is not important, but the thought of providing these add-ons was the cherry on the cake. Great views and I will be going back in the fall for sure!

We had the best weekend at the Maguire House! Terry and Paul were so friendly and welcoming, and the house and grounds are beautiful. We felt so at home and relaxed, and really appreciated the extra touches like homemade cookies and the well-stocked toiletries. The breakfasts were delicious and a great way to start the day. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed a great stay at Maguire House. The house is located on a beautiful property with views of the hills and reservoir. Terry and Paul are wonderful hosts. The accomodations are very comfortable and include a cooked-to -order breakfast.

We have staying at the Maguire house many times and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the area. A spectacular setting overlooking beautifully grounds and Upper Naukeag Lake. Relaxing setting, incredible full breakfast and the most fabulous hosts. Every detail is perfection. The Maguire House is worth a special trip or a simple detour off the Mohawk Trail. I have stayed there in every season, spring, summer fall and winter. Highly recommended.

My wife and I booked for an overnight and were not disappointed. The charming historic house is located in Ashburnham well away from the hustle and bustle of central Massachusetts where we live. The house is located on a huge property that was fun to explore, but only has three rooms so you feel like you have the whole place to yourself. The couple who managed the property were helpful but not intrusive. Breakfast was also fantastic! I would like to go back during warmer weather to explore the lake more. Hopefully they have the availability :)

What a lovely stay, we arrived late and it was so nice to be greeted with a warm smile. The room was so clean and comfortable, we had a great sleep. The biggest surprise was the view out the window when we woke up! It's BEAUTIFUL!!!! Breakfast was amazing. Will definitely return!
