The Coach and Horses in Worthing offers some modern, good quality, accommodation in the old coach house. Whilst the old coaching inn is next to the A27 the traffic noise never bothered us. Our room, and a lot of rooms, back onto the new Durrington housing estate (so is isolated from the noise of the A27). The room was nice, but it looked as if it had been serviced in a rush; main issue was the lack of any toilet paper. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Highlight for my son was the brand new Porsche GT3 RS parked outside (belonging to one of the other overnight guests) and several other high-end cars heading towards a nearby car rally. The hotel is part of a the South Coast Inn chain.

The Coach and Horses is a friendly place with good beer and pub food and excellent accommodation. The rooms are situated in a separate, purpose built building next to the pub. They are above average in every respect and well insulated from the noise of the nearby main road. We enjoyed our overnight stay and would have no hesitation is booking the Coach and Horses again.

The family were staying at the Inn and invited us to join them for breakfast at 9am. The person running the room very rudely refused us any service, telling us that we weren't guests. We asked if we could have coffee (which we intended to pay for)-and he basically told us to get out. To add insight to injury, the guests had to return to a room where they needed to complete their packing in darkness as the power to the room was deliberately shut down.

Just back from a very enjoyable stay at the Coach and Horses. This place is great value for money and despite being close to a busy road, the accommodation is perfect with no noise issues or disturbances. The room was great, the facilities very good but it is the staff and the breakfast which were the stand outs for me. Everyone who works there from bar staff to housekeeping were polite and very friendly. Highly recommended and a special mention for the scrambled eggs which are world class on their full english breakfast.

This place looks great. There’s plenty of parking and its location next to the A27 means that it could be a good base for exploring the area. And breakfasts prepared to order was very welcome. But the room was poor. The bed was so soft to be extremely uncomfortable. To make matters worse the room was also very hot. Though fans are provided - suggesting the hotel management knows how hot the room can get - they were so noisy to make them unusable at night. Overall, for what you get this place is expensive. Not recommended.

Easy to find and plenty of parking Lovely & very clean twin room. Room tea & coffee, with biscuits. Very comfortable bed & pillows Very good breakfast in Coach and Horses pub right next door. Staff friendly, helpful, so great service. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again !

Stayed here for one night whilst away on business. Rooms are in a nearby newer building adjacent to the pub. Room was spacious and had all mod coms e.g USB ports and smart TV. Pub is an old traditional inn with friendly staff in the morning and evening. Standard pub food, nothing special.

We were on our way back from a mini break in Dorset and decided to stop for lunch, on entering the pub, we were greeted with smiling faces of the staff, the landlord greeted us and showed us to a vacant table near the fire, which he lit for us. The starter was prompt and very tasty, followed by the main course, again no faults with the service or the food, the experience was lovely and the food fresh. I would recommend a visit and we will be calling in again when passing the area.

Ordered a bit roast at £16 Over boiled vegetables Tasted like granule gravey The nut roast was less than a centimetre thick and basically just rice Potatoes dry Overall poor taste experience Staff tried to help saying “ it’s common to have rice in a nut roast “ - but I couldn’t detect any nuts in it at all !!
