Hôtel Club mmv Altitude Arc 2000

We really enjoyed our stay over half term. It was very busy but we could not fault our experience. Comfy rooms and beds, very quiet at night ( I asked for a quiet room after reading reviews), good hot shower, good quality of food and varied each day. Option of taking a pack lunch was great. Afternoon cake upon return from the slopes was a nice surprise. We found all of the staff to be polite, helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. My ski boots were taken one day and the security person tracked them down on CCTV and returned them to me within one hour! Ski hire shop located in the hotel - very convenient. Ski lockers are heated and more than adequate. Short walk to the button lift and excellent skiing thereafter. Short walk to bars and restaurants and the 5 min gondola ride to 1950 which is well worth it. We would absolutely return again.

Firstly I don't agree with the majority of the one star reviews. The staff were all great, friendly, from those on reception to bar staff, food staff etc. All spoke perfect English and were more than happy to help when required. The rooms were were nice and tastefully modernised. The room itself was reasonable spacious and had enough storage for a weeks ski trip. The facilities such as the toilet and the separate shower room were on the small side. However both served their purpose. The only downside regarding the toilet is it did smell like stale urine when we entered the room.. assuming this was because someone previously didn't flush. I can understand the smell lingering even after cleaning if it had sat for a while. The only other downside regarding the rooms were the noise that protruded from outside and other rooms. You could hear people walking around in the corridor outside and you could hear the adjoining room clearly. Not too much of a problem after 11pm as most were asleep at this point. The food was reasonable with a varied menu and fresh food brought out throughout the meal times. No its not Michelin star quality, but it does provide enough variety and we never had any issues with food being cold or unavailable. A nice touch was that for lunch, we were able to make our own packed lunch to take on the slopes rather than coming back to the hotel. We were all inclusive and the drink selection at the bar was very good. We didn't have to wait too long to get served and the bar area was good enough for a large group. (Some additional comfy sofas and larger tables may be nice but this is purely personal preference). The location was a good 5 minute walk from the square at Les Arcs 2000, which is a bit tough in ski boots. If I were to go again I may consider renting a locker closes to the slopes. The boot room had sufficient space, all lockers were warm and had no problems. Frustratingly to utilise the pool and spa facilities these have to be booked at reception. Normally this had at least a two day waiting list, so not great if you want an impromptu relax session after skiing. Overall I would say the stay is good value and the all inclusive is worth it.

A nice hotel close to the ski runs. Rooms are small but practical lifts are good food is varied but is hot and a great cheese board. Bar prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly and very helpful. I would use this hotel again. Plenty of hot water and rooms cleaned every day plus clean towels every day to.

Hotel clean and modern. Need to walk to slopes. Food good and plentiful. Biggest negative, and its a big one, there is nowhere to relax in the evening. Extremely noisy intrusive so called entertainment. Even heard noise on with floor. Had to retire to room at night for a bit of peace and quiet. I suppose it's a bit like a very noisy Butlins Holiday Camp with very amateur but excessively noisy performers. I would never go back. Maybe they could find an area for quiet relaxation after a hard day on slopes.

Currently staying at the mmv altitude in Les arcs. 1 out of the 2 elevators has been out of service since our arrival making all trips from our room to the restaurant or the ski room way too long. Can’t use the terrasse as they haven’t shoveled the snow. It has been 5 days. The ski room is messy. Watch out if you have a room for 3 as 3 pairs of ski don’t fit in one locker. The food was ok on new year but otherwise very basic: not a lof of fresh food. the walk from the ski room to the slopes is not 5 min, it’s more 10. Forget about the coffee at the restaurant. It’s undrinkable. If you get the all incluse at the bar, keep in mind that a lot of drinks are not included and the service is slow as they take your card everytime. Last night was new year and nobody has cleaned the bar area, it is still dirty. no toilet paper at the spa or the restaurant’s bathroom. The rooms are very small. The positive aspect is the staff is very nice.

A very French club hotel, rooms Are small but comfy, showers seem to run hot and cold. Plenty of food at meal times and lots of choice with buffet and special dishes. They did have problems with the pool temp and the spa tended to have lots of youngsters even though it was for 18+ Overall a good hotel with ski store in basement.
