Khaled's Camp

First I stayed for one night in the camp, but the jeep Tour and the Tour to watch the sunset in the desert were so great, that I had to come back for a second night during my stay in jordan. Khaled made fresh Tea on a fire place, while watching the sunset. I really enjoyed my stay in the camp, everyone is really nice snd care about the guests! It was possible to sleep under the stars, when the weather is good. The tents are also very good and have plenty of space. The food is great, thanks to a great cook! :) I will definitely come back :)

A group of friends chose to spend the night at Khaled's camp after an exciting day in Wadi Rum. Incredible place out of time and breathtaking views. Khaled's organization turned this trip into a real adventure and an unforgettable experience. The jeep ride, the rocks - a challenge for every mountaineer, the rock paintings, along which you feel like a real discoverer. And the sunsets ... Oh, God, the sunsets are the most beautiful you've ever seen, which you can watch from purpose-built angles throughout the field. Wonderful food and atmosphere and most of all Khaled's personal attitude who quickly became our friend.

If I had to sum up my stay at Khaled's Camp in one word, it would be "unforgettable." From the moment I arrived at this oasis in the heart of the desert, I knew I was in for a truly unique experience. First, let's talk about the sky. I've seen some beautiful skies in my life, but nothing quite compares to the celestial masterpiece that unfolded above Khaled's Camp every night. The stars seemed to twinkle with an extra dose of magic, as if they were putting on a show just for us lucky campers. I spent countless hours lying on the sand, gazing up at the vast expanse above, feeling like I was floating in a sea of constellations. It was the kind of sky that makes you contemplate the mysteries of the universe and your place in it. But as much as I could have happily stargazed for days on end, there were also the red mountains to explore. These impressive rock formations are like nature's sculptures, rising majestically from the desert floor. Hiking through the rugged terrain, I felt like an intrepid explorer uncovering hidden treasures in the desert's folds. The views from the summits were nothing short of breathtaking. Speaking of adventure, Khaled's Camp offers a range of exciting tours that cater to all tastes. During my stay, I chose to kick things off with a heart-pounding 4x4 desert tour, where our skilled driver expertly navigated the challenging terrain, making it feel like an exhilarating roller coaster ride. The following day, I embarked on a tracking tour, which allowed me to immerse myself in the desert's unique flora and fauna. It was a refreshing change of pace, and I learned so much about the incredible resilience of desert life. And I can't forget to mention our incredible tour guide, Sallam. He was not only our guide and driver but also a lunch chef and an amazing photographer. Sallam's multi-talented skills added an extra layer of enjoyment to our desert adventures, capturing both the beauty of the landscape and the essence of our memorable journey. On the last morning of my stay, I joined a camel trek, a serene and contemplative journey through the desert. Riding those majestic creatures through the sandy landscape felt like stepping back in time. They make for excellent photo companions and offer a different perspective on the desert's beauty. Now, let's talk about the camp itself. It's a true desert gem, blending seamlessly with the landscape. The tents are comfortable, cozy, and surprisingly well-equipped for a place in the middle of nowhere. It was the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. Of course, no review of Khaled's Camp would be complete without mentioning the food. The meals were not only delicious but also a testament to the culinary skills of the camp's team. Dining under the starry sky, surrounded by the desert's silence, made each meal feel like a special occasion. Last but certainly not least, I have to give a shout-out to our host, Khaled. I found Khaled as recommended by a lady who lives in Jordan. I told her we were looking for a camp close to Bedouin life, deep inside Rum, no concrete bunker style and serious, clean and responsible. I set up a tailor-made trip with him for two days. And what I spoke was done exactly. That's the advantage when you're dealing with a smart, mature man with a tough name and a business you can count on. The places he told the drivers to take us to some remote places made all the difference. What I saw and what I experienced cannot be described in words. The photos barely show the wonders of nature. The continuous dream of the magical images I saw continues today. In fact, after almost a month, my mind still hasn't come home from Wadi Rum. Thanks to him. The location of the camp is more than perfect, the tents are spacious with good beds and perfectly clean private bathrooms, waterproof to the wind. We slept like babies. The main tent is large, with a spacious place to socialize around the fire, with a dining area and good food (especially the kofta dish was the best). Electricity is available everywhere, so you can always charge your phone. You have no signal on the Jordanian Orange network, but, very strangely, sometimes the network becomes somewhat present and you can receive messages. As usual, Khaled is the answer to any problem, so if you have a communications emergency ask him. He will solve your problem. For the beginning of May, be prepared to have warm clothes for windy and cold places, because without sun you can freeze. But you can burn in the sun, so don't forget a hat, long-sleeved shirt and sunscreen to protect exposed skin. Don't joke with UV rays because you will lose it very quickly.
