First of all, georgioupolis is one of the best holidays I've ever had. The town is safe, friendly, not too busy, beautiful and there's plenty to see and do. The Hotel on the other hand ... 1. The all inclusive is a joke. Don't bother. The food had very little choice, which was only any good for breakfast really - typical German sausage, fruit, eggs and "bacon" toast, the usual stuff. Half of the dining area is in the sun, which in July is less than pleasant, so you have to get there early to secure a good table. Also not enough tables for all guests so if it's full, you're out of luck. They still charge €10 per day for sunbeds even if you're all inclusive - which seems a rip off given that it should be included in the price - policed by a guy with no hotel identification. It seemed certain holiday companies included this in their package, but it was incredibly confusing which ones had it included. 2. The pool was barely used as the dining area is right next to it. It's not very big or deep, and not worth using as it seems a bit awkward taking a dip less than a foot from a couple having lunch. My partner was told to "cover up" at the bar by an older male member of staff - she was wearing a normal bikini and a cover up. This was at the poolside bar - the which seemed a bit daft. It only happened once but it was enough to make her feel a bit unwelcome 3. Stains on the towels and sheets. They were obviously washed, but old sun cream stains and god knows what else isn't inviting. The sheets weren't changed every day, just the bed made, which given that it's a hot country, and the price paid I expected better. They need to buy new towels and sheets. 4. The reception staff were less than helpful. We asked for a second key card for the room so we could individually go off for a bit which was flatly denied, rather rudely I might add. Also we asked to check out late as our transfer wasn't until 5pm. This was met with "come back the day before", then "come back in the morning", then come back a bit later. It got so close to check out that we just didn't bother in the end. On arrival we were given virtually no information about meal times etc, which left us having to work it out ourselves. Just something in the room to tell us would have been nice. 5. The room itself was pretty good. There were some marks on the ceiling that looked like a bit of mould perhaps, and there was a lot of dust etc down the side of the fridge. The balcony had a 1ft wall separating us from next door - a privacy screen would have been nice. Luckily we didn't really see our neighbours much. There are no lifts here, so a heads up about the amount of stairs we'd have to climb with heavy cases would have been nice. In all, this hotel tries to do too much with limited space and the customer service needs to be better. You're better off booking bed and breakfast instead as there are loads of great bars and Tavernas within a 3 minute walk. The all inclusive isn't worth it. Hats of
