Comfortable stay, very cosy bed, spacious bathroom and overall a very lovely suite. Everything is top notch clean. Unfortunately the conversion of this magnificent building into a hotel destroyed quite a few features, such as historical ceilings, which have been replaced by boring modern looking “alternative” - I guess this was all done to accommodate the air conditioning and cabling. But the original features have been unfortunately lost forever. Mind blowing quality of food at breakfast, a real feast for your eyes and for your taste palette. Congratulations to the kitchen! Unfortunately the service at breakfast was below even a 2-star hotel’s expectations. Tables were left uncleaned for hours after other guests departure, while other people were looking for a free table. Such a shame!

This is a beautiful place. It even smells good. It is somewhat centrally located depending on what you want to do (we came for a concert so some other hotels might have been closer). They are a 5 star and I believe most of the services are high quality. We especially liked the front desk staff. The rooms are small but don’t “feel” too small (normal Europe small certainly larger than the average Parisian hotel for example). We went for our anniversary and they added a special touch to the room. We would have liked to dine at one of the Michelin restaurants but there’s no real relationship with the hotel so there aren’t any special arrangements that can be made. It all worked out though as we ended up getting a last minute slot at Zilte and that worked maybe better for our diet. I think this is probably the nicest most unique hotel in Antwerp and I would PROBABLY stay there again (it’s not that pricey in my opinion as it’s essentially a resort and is on par with a resort price wise). My one hesitation is the less than stellar communication from the email address. I live abroad so calling is difficult so it would be nice if queries could be answered (only half of my communications were noted, including one I’m still waiting for a response from about a (very large) mystery charge).

El hotel dejaba a todos los clientes de la habitación, desde las toallas y toallas hasta los cocinas y los oradores.
