We had an ok time at the hotel, but it didn’t really live up to its advert. Towels were soiled, and the decor/paintwork in our room was unfinished. We also had ants in the room and our safe didn’t work despite us asking the staff to come and fix it. Corridors were echoey and loud banging from the kitchen at night came up the stairs. Building work in the block went on through the day, with loud music waking us up in the morning. Generally quite a noisy stay. The pool was nice and clean, and the staff were friendly. Air con worked well. Breakfast was limited but ok. The hotel is a long walk from the beach with nothing much around and the streets are not well lit so if you don’t have a vehicle and are walking to and from Anjuna, we would advise staying somewhere closer to the beach. It is advertised as a 4 star hotel but doesn’t compare to all other 4 star hotels we have stayed in. We left our stay early wanting somewhere we could relax - if you want a party there is loud music by the pool which might work for you but didn’t for us. Not the worst stay in the world but not worth the money. We are anticipating a reply to this review saying we should’ve mentioned things earlier, but we feel these are basic requirements that staff should always address with or without guest complaint (clean towels, finished decor, drinking water, low volume levels, no bugs in the room, working safe) for a 4 star hotel to be on top of. Guests also shouldn’t be put in a block where loud building work is happening - staff should know that’s not fair for paying guests, we shouldn’t have to raise a complaint to effect change.
