Villa Santa Maria - Luxury Country House Suites

The hospitality here is amazing Francesca greeted us & we felt so comfortable and at home.The staff is also awesome right there for whatever your needs, the views are fantastic over looking the blue and turquoise waters a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

We passed a very good time at the villa. The staff and particularly Francesca were very kind and helpfull. Private acces to the sea, private beach, sauna and spa. Awesome ! Loved it ! Restaurants in Amalfi coast can lift you if tou don’t have a car. Just ask to the villa.

Great boutique hotel ideal for resting, a couple of miles up the road from Amalfi and 5 minutes’s walk away from some very good restaurants. Be mindful that is halfway up (or down) the hill. It has its own steps down to the sea, several sunbathing spots (so one can find sunshine at all hours of day) and a jetty for small boats. Overall a restful, peaceful stay - just what we needed for the last leg of our honeymoon across Italy.

Stay here. The hotel is small, just a few rooms, a home-like scale and setting. Unlike central Amalfi or Positano, this property, down the hill from the main coast road, is in a quiet, semi-rural location. 115 steps down from the street and another 360 steps up from a private "beach" platform with access to the Tyrrhenian Sea, the hotel is on the side of a mountain. Do not come here if you have any trouble with steps!! The setting is magical: placid Mediterranean views over lemon groves, amid quiet bougainvillea-scented terraces. The hotel itself is modest, with a small lobby and lovely but simple, modern rooms. A hot tub and sauna are also available. The staff is magnificent: by day, Franca runs the place. She is serene and informed, and has given us wonderful suggestions for how to spend our time here. She is resourceful too, always ready to help with a reservation, transportation, or logistics. Breakfasts are light and delicious: fresh fruit and pastries, eggs and yogurt, coffee, tea, and more. Lunch and dinner are also available from the modest professional kitchen. We enjoyed a late spaghetti alio e oglio with lemon one evening. We are so glad we chose the Villa Santa Maria over the more expensive, less serene options. This is a great place from which you can enjoy the Amalfi Cosst.

We recently stayed here for our honeymoon and are now forever ruined with hotels and B&Bs. This place is pure paradise. We had some bad weather at the start of our trip and the ferries were not running from Capri to Amalfi. Francesca was one who emailed us to give us a heads up and we quickly had to chance our plans. From the minute we arrived Francesca greeted us and made our stay beyond incredible. From breakfast, to lunch, to helping us with dinner recommendations (Al Pesce d'Oro right up the street is the best restaurant ever!), to getting us a car to Ravello, absolutely everything was perfect. We were so sad to leave and are planning our return.

Me and my wife were there for a few days and completely loved it. Location is perfect, the view is phenomenal but the very best is Francesca who made great dinner reservations and was of so much help in making the stay unforgettable, the hotel is very lucky to have her. Hope to come back to this dream villa.
