Advertised with tui and jet2. Jet 2 as usual gets inferior rooms to tui despite, showing the same photographs of the rooms. I know as we booked a family holiday with some using both companies. It's advertised as 4 star. They collect tourist tax/Eco Tax as 4* which can only be paid in cash. They do not show the Zante tourist certificate status anywhere so who knows whether that's correct. 7 euros a night. The hotel is barely 2 star. Superior rooms have been upgraded but are average to say the least. You get free aircon but have to pay 40euros for a safe for two weeks. The pools are fine but the splash pool is dangerous underfoot. It has holes around the play area which are quite frankly dangerous at least 4 children were hurt on the unfinished edges including one of our group ended up with cuts on his foot. Sunbeds are scattered around but at least half were broken. Towels left all day never used. The snack bar was expensive with miserable slow staff. Location is great, beach is lovely. After two days our bathroom flooded due to blocked drains they came out twice to put in blocker down Sink and shower. This barely worked and still resulted in smells and some flooding. Room 615 After a week the sink plug hole refuses to open. I eventually I opened it and the bathroom flooded with putrid sewage from the pipes which had cracked and given way. I had a look under the sink the hole sink plug hole was simply corroded away either by cleaning acid or more likely galvanic corrosion where the copper ring met the steel pipe through the sink bottom. This had Been repaired several times judging by the tons of silicone. They could not repair it for 24 hours. I insisted on a room move. Room 868, the new room was fine. I the plug did not work in the new room either but at least the pipe was only half corroded away again it is certainly galvanic corrosion as the copper ring was literally eaten half way through as it met the steel of the retaining metal. I'm used to Greek poor rooms and poor plumbing but this hotel had the same rating as Rhodes from last year which definitely was 4 star and a much better place for only £ 200 more. Breakfast was simple food and plenty of it, nothing out of the ordinary just the basics. You wouldn't starve but was very poor overall compared to most 3* hotels I've stayed in. The cleaning was completely useless one day they would try to clean but most days they were just dreadful, our cups were never cleaned at all in the first room and once in the second room. The dirt in the corners remained in both rooms for our stay. Our towels were changed everyday but the sheets not at all as far as my wife could tell but we did move rooms so that may have affected that. poor The sunbeds are just terrible, cheap quality and piles of broken ones we took to testing them and then stacking the duff ones in a pile. They had some decent ones on the beach front which were good but they charged 10 euros in cash for two. The guy gave me

This claims to be 4* but the only thing about this is the pools, the room was 3* at best. bathroom, toilet was filthy in need of bleach, shower was in the middle of the bath so water went all over the floor curtain was broken. Aircon wasn’t great no tea or coffee in room which I’ve got in lower star hotels. So if you want great pools & direct beach access then this is good for that, the receptionist on leaving was rather rude, no conversation to ask if we enjoyed our stay etc.Definitely needs looking at the * review as it’s no 4*

We stayed as a couple in this hotel in a swim.up room number 704. The room was ery clean and spacious. It had a good sized fridge which was great for storing the cans of drink. The beds however were awful, so uncomfortable and difficult to sleep in. The pools in the hotel are really nice and well kept. We stayed half board , this was a waste of money the breakfast was basic with very little choice the evening meal was awful no choice food not replenished. Its the restaurant that let's this hotel down , we go abroad I'm hotels 4 times a year this restaurant is very poor. The Tbe location is great next to the beach and some good bars and restaurants. We personally would not return to this hotel because the food is terrible and the beds are uncomfortable.

We went with 2 toddlers at the beginning of October. Firstly the hotel and grounds are lovely. The location is amazing being a stones throw from the beach and main street. Unfortunately, the week we chose was unbelievably quiet so the management decided to shut early. The beach sunbeds were removed in the middle of our week and the splash park was closed on our last day leaving our kids extremely upset. The restaurant was basically self service, unlike any b&b I've ever been to, let alone a 4 star one. They only put a small amount of cutlery and dishes so we felt like we had to constantly keep asking for stuff. As the week went on the buffet became smaller as they were running everything down. The pool at the beach was green and smelly, not to mention the dog faeces round the pool. The tiles round the baby pool were broken and sharp, and the kids play area was dangerous with large gaps between the safety mat floor. The rooms in the new block were lovely but lacked storage and the shower was awful - flooded the bathroom every time. This hotel has huge potential if it was looked after properly. Such a shame as the location is perfect.

Just got back after our second visit this year Iocation of this hotel is perfect but the bathrooms in the old rooms really let it down the cleaning staff were really good always came back to fresh towels and bedding and a fresh room .the breakfast could be better just little things like English sausages and maybe hash browns would make it so much better.i don't think it should be classed as 4star I have been in better 3star rated hotels but a bit of effort from them to upgrade would make it a much nicer hotel .I would return but for location only .

Exceeded expectations. Aided by a free upgrade we were delighted with our swim up room. Plenty of space, near the restaurant and all the three main pools. Even though it’s nearing the end of the season, staff were helpful, pleasant and polite. Thoroughly enjoyed our first time in Zante.

We stayed for 11 nights at the end of June. On arrival we were giving a room in one of the old blocks, I say room it was more like a prison cell. There was dents in the door as if done with a fist, a damp smell that hit you as soon as you opened the door. I wish we walked away at that point as it was down hill from there. My son went in and slipped in a puddle of water on the floor under the air con unit hurting his lower back, there was marks on the bedding and walls, holes around fittings and fixtures, furniture was all chipped and water damaged, the bathroom was covered in mould, there was no natural light when you opened balcony doors so was so dark. The beds in both rooms we had were the most uncomfortable we have ever tried to sleep in. We went to reception to report the accident my son had and requested a new room to which we were told they were fully booked and our only option would be to pay 60€ a night to upgrade. Very disappointed and let down I contacted TUI and was told to speak to the rep the following day, don’t waste your time. The rep in resort is very condescending and rude, has no interest unless you are booking excursions with her. When I told her about the accident she advised that I shouldn’t be so over protective with a child that has ADHD, was unaware before then that TUI are also experienced in giving parental advice. The pool with volleyball net is where we spent most of our time but most days my children came out with cuts on the bottoms of their feet. The pool snack bar is terrible, stood for about 10 minutes before being acknowledged. We were then served chicken nuggets that were grey in the middle and chips that had been reheated and it is expensive. I found most of the reception staff friendly, but the hotel manager came across as rude and uninterested in anything. We did pay the 600€ to upgrade and were given a swim up room in the new build so if you were to go here I would recommend getting one of them although I did witness the hotel cat and her kittens messing on peoples balconies. The breakfast was fine the same thing most days but edible. No entertainment at the hotel and a bit of a ghost town in the evenings. I would definitely recommend avoiding the Alykanas Village I would never return, in fact it has put me off Zante altogether. The service received from TUI in resort and since coming home has been appalling I will also be avoiding booking through them in the future.

On arrival we took one look at our bathroom and was not impressed. The ceiling panels had rust holes and mould all over them. There was a filthy old stainless steel toilet brush that had seen better days stuck next to the loo. The shower head was covered in timescale and so was the taps. The bath had no plug and the drain was rusty. The loo seat was wonky. And the whole bathroom wanted ripping out. We went down and asked if we could be moved. But the receptionist said the hotel was full and we could not be moved. So I went and bought cleaning products to clean the bathroom myself. We did how ever get a new toilet brush. The towel rail on the balcony served no purpose as it was broken. We had an issue around the pool, as when we finally managed to find a couple of spare loungers It then nearly resulted in me having whiplash, as when I laid back the lounger was broken and I fell flat. Both loungers was like this. My partner went to tell reception about the state of the loungers . To which she could not have cared less. This happened to an older couple also. The charge for some sun loungers on the grass in front of the beach also, at a cost of 10 euros. There was absolutely no life at this accommodation, not even a Greek night. I have been to this island a few times and stayed in very basic 2star accommodation that was better than this.

Great location. Breakfast okay as long as not expecting full British. Hotel pretty dead in evening not much better during day. New block is nice. Old block okay as long as you don’t book 2 bed rooms. The rooms in old block are getting tied and poorly maintained. TUI gets special rooms looking at brick walls. We booked 2 bed suite in new block unfortunately TUI didn’t have to sell. Without informing us we were dumped in old block even though we paid £321 upgrade. TUI customers service has been fallen over years. If you get an issue now your on your own. It’s your holiday which you saved all year to have, So book with someone you TRUST. TUI probably the worst holiday company in the world!
