Hotel Nereides

Amazing staff,beautiful hotel,lovely choice of breakfast and very clean,The food although not a huge choice is also great,the house white was the tastiest on the island.Its quite steep to get to the port ,going down is fine getting back can be tiring but a taxi is only 6 to 8 euros,depending on which driver you have 🥴

Absolutely stunning little hotel with a real boutique feel but without the pretentousness. Spotless clean, modern, always sunbeds and pool space . Breakfast great also with lovely views. It is about a 10 minute walk downhill to the main port and easily doable on the way back if you are reasonably fit

Stayed at Nereides for seven nights in June 2023. Had a front facing room with balcony overlooking the sea / port. This is a friendly, welcoming, clean, family run hotel with good quality accommodation. Built in the early 1990s by ‘grandpa’ the hotel is a family affair and the small team of six(?) did their utmost to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Positives: room was spacious, bathroom good with an effective shower. Fridge always on, small but serviceable kitchenette. Beds (hard - how I prefer them). Rooms serviced daily and sheets / towels changed every few days. Breakfast was great. Choice of continental (great croissants!), seasonal fruit from own garden, cheeses, yoghurt, cereals, juices (cherry!), cakes and a cooked breakfast option too. Place is spotless. Pool is a decent size and deep. Lots of loungers, chairs, tables and settees to lounge around, surrounded by the garden, great views and butterflies on the flowers. There is a book library in reception. Bottled water available at the bar / reception as cannot drink the tap water. Breakfast is served in a lovely open terrace room. Garden is impressive, extremely well tended and much of the produce used comes from there. Large car park outside if you hire a car. Main downside - whilst it’s a quick seven minute walk down the cobbled lanes into town it’s a ten to fifteen minute vertical walk back via three flights of near vertical steps. Great for the legs not so great if you aren’t that mobile. However, lots of taxis available or rent a car. And all restaurants are down in the harbour. Hints: if your bathroom smells tell the cleaners they will fix it. Walk up to the old town via the old donkey track only takes twenty mins as you are halfway there!

Got moved to the Nereides Hotel after our holiday got cancelled and it was the best move. Modern rooms. Outdoor areas and pool kept clean and very relaxing. Great Views. Family run and all very pleasant. Cleaners did a fab job. Yes the walk down to the port hilly and lots of steps but lovely views and the walk didn't bother us. Good selection at Breakfast. Wonderful Stay.

Cosy Room , clean, big and comfortable mattress, very kind and helpful people , excellent service, magnificent view of the Sea and the Sunrise/Sunset. Big Space to park your car/vehicle, calm and quiet place to spend your vacation with your spouse or your family. The location is at the same time close to the port of Patitiri, and Old Town of Alonnisos. Thanks for the hospitality and accomodation to the Management. Rich and delicious breakfast, full of local tastes!

What a lovely hotel! The back story! We had 3 hotels booked for us via Tui and Olympic for island hopping in Greece. We travelled from Skiathos to Skopelos for 5 days to Alonossos for 4 days then back to Skiathos . They booked our middle hotel in Alonossos without a pool - a huge no no with children! And so begrudgingly they allowed me to cancel the middle hotel so I could book my own. They gave me a small refund! Which made me realise that Tui and Olympic must have taken a huge commission. When the hotels weren’t that great ! Anyway so this is how I came to book This hotel! And what an absolute joy to reach this hotel after the previous hotel. (Which was a clean ok 2 star) but this wax luxury in comparison! The lovely owner picked us up from the ferry (Olympic wouldn’t do this as we weren’t in their chosen hotel) The food we had on arrival was amazing - they grow their own produce. They were very helpful in answering any questions about the Island. The pool was fabulous for an early morning dip. And although part shaded on the evening there’s still the terrace to catch some rays. It is on a huge hill but being a fit family of four we enjoyed the challenge and car hire is a must to go see stuff! Breakfast was adequate and just what we needed to start the day. All in all a fab stay Thank you for looking after us. Tips in Alonissos Best Beach Chrisi Milia beach Hire a boat for the day! No skipper needed - great fun snorkelling and swimming around ship wrecks. Old town is lovely but get there early as it gets busy to park.
