The White Swan is an old hotel it requires to be updated although the room we had been recently updated, most of the hotel is on various levels with no lifts (elevators) the food was average, service by the young staff very good there was no facilities apart from the bar the hotel is very central to the town

衞生不錯，前台接待服務好，停車方便。因為沒預先預訂，晚歺沒吃上，出酒店才發現，全城歺廳都預訂滿了，真的從來沒有遇到過。衹能超市買了點麪包。

Unbelievably beautiful! Wonderful Olympic Dining Room ! I defy you not to be impressed. Lovely suite exceptionally clean and spacious. The staff are just wonderful so polite and helpful. Shout out to Reese our little waitress! George ( man of all trades ) so sweet and Shaun night porter who assisted me in a late night medical emergency when my grandaughter fainted just so brilliant! Sad to say the food was not great though poorly presented and not great ingredients but apart from that we loved this wonderful hotel ! Swan staff !!! YOU ARE this hotels greatest asset ! I’ll definitely be back x

We had a brilliant stay,hotel decor in the dining room was amazing,lovely big bedroom,wi-fi was good,food was good as were all the staff ,couldn’t praise them all highly enough,especially the receptionist who very kindly printed all our bus timetables,would definitely stay here again,well done to everyone for making our break wonderful 😊😊

After years of going there we will not be going again. We have disabilities therefore requiring a ground floor twin room with bath, these requirements are always stated at booking. We were put in a 3rd floor room (hotel has no lift), with only a shower in a very black mould covered bathroom. They did say they would move us to another room the next day but on the 2nd floor. The evening food was inedible, worst meal we have ever had there. The next morning we went for breakfast at 8am (which we always book for each day of stay) and told we were not booked until 9:30am. When we stated we booked for 8am the member of staff called us a pair ******. My partner saw red, about turned and went straight to reception to tell them we will be checking out. The waitress from the breakfast room followed us to reception and continued to hurl insults at us. A real shame this hotel has gone down hill in such a short time. The new decor in the Hardy bar is cold and uninviting.

Very over priced tired hotel. £189 per night is joke. TV didn’t work, bathroom shabby. Do not dine in the restaurant. Food very average. Living on the connection between the sister ship Titanic. However staff were pleasant and attentive. A

Great location, right on the Main Street of Alnwick. The room was fine and the beds comfortable. My one comment would be that the shower was an overhead one so not easy to shower without getting your hair wet. Pleasant bar Harry’s and breakfast was fine in the Olympic room. So we would definitely go back again.

Our stay at the White Swan, Alnwick, turned out to be a very expensive disappointment. The 'Standard' room was small with very tired decor and came with a second single bed that was neither required nor requested, which further restricted the already limited space. The shower failed to drain properly, resulting in the water overflowing onto the floor, which had to be soaked up using spare towels. The fault was reported several times but never resolved during our stay. On the final night, we were moved to a 'Superior' room due to the toilet in the original room failing to drain. Unfortunately, the new room had the same issue with the shower failing to drain properly. This hotel is in need of a serious overhaul of its plumbing. For the price paid, you would have expected a 'Superior' room with fully functioning facilities. Overall, it was a very disappointing and expensive experience.

We had a lovely couple of days here. Rooms were large, clean and spacious. We dined both evenings and enjoyed the food both at breakfast and evening meal. The staff are very pleasant too. One thing to watch for is the 10% they add on for every transaction - always ask to see the bill and then it is up to you to accept or ask the 10% to be removed. I do tip when I want to but object to buying a round of drinks at the bar and 10% being added on. We are not the USA.
