The famous Barter Books, (one of the largest secondhand bookshops in the country, situated in the fascinating old railway station) is just a few minutes walk away and is great for spending a couple of hours reading and enjoying a cup of tea and cake around an open fire. The cottage is located between the Heritage coast and Cheviot hills. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are just a few minutes walk away.
