The worst holiday experience I have ever had I had booked a luxury houseboat through from 24th Dec- 25th Dec 2024, but upon arrival, I was informed that the houseboat I reserved was a bigger boat and that we will be provided with a 2 bedroom boat. Instead, the manager arranged for us to board a local, regular boat, which was vastly different from the one I had booked. This situation was completely unacceptable, had I wanted a regular boat, I would have made a much cheaper booking. The disparity between the boat I had paid for and the boat I received was significant, and I feel I was misled about the quality of the experience I was purchasing. Additionally, the boat we were given lacked many basic amenities that were promised as part of the booking, such as toothpaste and other essential items. This lack of basic facilities further added to the disappointment. To make matters worse, the manager was unclear and unprofessional in his communication. Initially, he asked us to pay for a gala dinner and told us that the boat would dock at the property. However, after boarding the boat, the situation completely changed, and we were informed of a different arrangement altogether. This lack of transparency and inconsistency in communication was frustrating and unprofessional. I trusted Sterling brand for a luxurious and hassle-free experience, but instead, I was given a substandard boat with no facilities, poor communication, and a complete disregard for the quality I paid for. To add to it after making several complaints to their customer care and written complaint at the property there has been no response at all. Worst experience,I would never book their properties again and would recommend same to others.
