Grand Hotel Alkmaar

雖然價格略高，但總體還是值得入住 衞生乾淨 設施齊全，不過沒有冰箱，設施略顯陳舊，但也算是酒店特色之一，很有歐洲的感覺 位置方便 工作人員都很開心的樣子

My feelings about the Grand Hotel are a bit mixed: I spent two nights in a deluxe room. The room was rather small. According to their website, the deluxe rooms come with all amenities you could expect from a 4 star hotel. Further, they were advertised as having a shower. My room was rather small. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have slept in a long time. The mattress requires urgent replacement. The reading lights barely worked. Overall, the decor was cozy, which I like. But there was only one extra chair, and a tiny desk (my laptop barely fit on it). There was a senseo machine, but no pads. When I asked the next morning, I was told they didn't have any, the Senseos were going to be replaced by a different brand. I could get coffee in the breakfast room (all day). however, it is obviously a difference, if you are able to fix yourself some coffee when you wake up and get ready, or not. The TV was small (I don't mind), but in order to be able to switch channels, you had to hold up the remote very high up in the air. Whereas the room was very small, the bathroom was very large. However, even though it was large and modern, there was practically nothing in it. The hand wash basin was tiny - completely useless. There were absolutely no storage place, you couldn't put your toiletry bag anywhere. Further, the bath had no shower as advertised, but a tub. The tub itself was nice and huge - if you wanted one. As a shower, the tub failed - it was hard to climb in, slippery, and there was no shower curtain, so the bathroom got entirely wet and slippery when taking a shower. The internet mostly worked alright, but I had extended periods without wifi reception. The hotel breakfast was ok. No bad - but also nothing to write home about. The coffee was good, but I don't want to know what the scrambled eggs were made of... When I had breakfast, there was a group of 10 people, so it was extremely loud, which did not add to the experience. On my second morning, I had to leave early, and the hotel was so nice to provide me with a breakfast box, which was highly appreciated. Many thanks for that! The location of the hotel is brilliant, smack in the center of the city. 10 minute walk from the station, and just 3-4 minutes from the main sights (I was there for the cheese market, which was just down the road). I chose the hotel because of its location, and wasn't disappointed. The hotel staff was nice. But my room was far from meeting my expectations.

We liked it here. Service was really excellent and friendly. Rooms are really great and large for two people. We had the junior suite. Plenty of room for us and a bath as well which was nice. Breaky was decent. Had good options. The location is the best though. Right in the heart of it. Close to the train station as well. The church bells are pretty active all the time but we found them relaxing. A must stay in alkmaar.

Very nice and beautifull hotel! Very friendly personell and an excellent breakfast with a good variation. with full English breakfast and more. In the middle of the city center but no noise at all inspite of the market on saturday morning! We can recomend this hotel!

Nice hotel in the city center of Alkmaar. The hotel is located in the old post office. This results in a nice variety in the rooms. Everything you want to see/visit is within walking distance. Complete breakfast. You can leave your car in one of the underground parkings and the hotel has an affordable arrangement.
