Hoteles en Alfredton con Wifi

I hate the idea of writing bad reviews – so much so that I’d never done it until now. And that's despite some pretty bad experiences because maybe I was just unlucky. But this has bothered me enough to take the time. The motel I typically stay at was booked out so needed an alternative. Despite its not so great rating, I gave Avenue Motel a chance as most of the poor ratings seemed old. Big mistake. The first room I was given hadn’t been made up so reception was very apologetic and moved me to a new room. No big deal - mistakes happen. The next room smelt so I opened the windows to air it out (because maybe it was just a little stuffy), overlooked the mould lined shower and dirty hand marks on the walls (because it’s a budget hotel) and sat on the bed to watch TV. When I went to close the large window on ground floor without a fly screen, I realised the lock was broken and the window could be easily slid wide open from outside. I called reception and requested a refund to go elsewhere. I was offered an alternate room but declined as being a female alone and my experience so far, I didn’t feel comfortable staying at all. The receptionist approved but stated I needed to request the refund through the booking partner Agoda (I purchased through trip.com so they were my contact but they possibly purchased the room from Agoda) as they had not yet received the payment for my booking. Upon contacting trip.com, they advised Avenue Motel needs to approve the refund. Trip.com called back and advised the motel denied a refund due to the cancellation policy. I called Avenue Motel to confirm they would still approve given trip.com just advised they did not. Avenue Motel advised he did agree. I knew I should have requested it in writing, but they seemed polite and reasonable and I was in a rush to get out and find somewhere else so foolishly didn’t. Given I was requesting a refund due to a poor experience and not just changing my mind I re-contacted trip.com who renegotiated and advised the motel declined again. I called Avenue Motel to query this and a different receptionist advised there is no record of the approval and only that the room was used so they would not refund. And yep, I did use the room for the half an hour before realising the issue. Had I known there was an issue, I wouldn’t have used the room at all. So that’s my experience. If these things don’t bother you by all means stay. But otherwise I suggest Begonia City Motor Inn (cleaner, cheaper and even credited my booking when they didn't need to because I stupidly booked the wrong date) or Bell Tower Inn. NB: I did say I'll be writing a bad review and they said that's up to me. So I hope the money from my booking was worth it.

Entre las comodidades, se incluyen escritorio y hervidor eléctrico.

We stayed at the Bell Tower Inn over Easter. Rooms are very spacious and have a large bathroom too. Parking is right outside your room so that’s great. Has a bar fridge, microwave and tea coffee making too and a toaster which was great. We ate at the restaurant on site which has a great menu. They deliver food to the room too if you feel like it. We actually ended up checking out early which was a shame as we had chain smokers next door ( they are allowed to smoke right outside the room) and the smoke got into our room so that really got to us and we had to leave. They also need to provide some recycle bins. They don’t recycle anything there so lots going to landfill which is a shame. They really need to have a designated smoking area away from the rooms. Apart from that we were very happy with the hotel.
