White Sands Motel

The owner gave us a well located room, and was friendly. The room was basic and fairly comfortable. The AC was pretty loud. Bath towels were nice. The bed was ok. Location is convenient to restaurants and to White Sands Park. I would stay there again. Just too bad the AC is so loud.

I can't say enough about our stay at White Sands Motel. After a long day of flying and spending time at White Sands, the hot shower and comfy bed were a welcomed relief. The proprietor was very friendly and made the check-in effortless. The room and breakfast room were very clean. The continental breakfast was very satisflying, with a nice assortment of cereals, bread products, yogurt, juice, coffee, etc. Would highly recommend.

My son and I stayed in the White Sands Motel on our visit to Alamogordo. The motel is a classic style motel with parking spaces outside of each individual room. The motel was built mid-century and has a retro feel. It is well-maintained and clean. The room had comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. The bathroom was smaller than modern hotels, but it worked just fine. The towels were good and absorbed moisture well. The office staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a Television in the room and a mini-split AC and heating unit. The motel offered breakfast and it was good. It was slightly more limited in selection than some modern chains, but there was plenty of quality food and choices. I can highly recommend the White Sand Motel. It is clean, comfortable, and located well.

Clean and quiet room with very comfortable beds. Coffee machine with coffee provided, refrigerator and microwave in the room. Ice machine on the motel premises and ice bucket in the room. Basic continental breakfast. Great location near good restaurants and 15 mins from White Sands NP. The Thay/Japanese restaurant next to the hotel is quite good. Owners are very kind and provide suggestions on activities and restaurants. Perfect motel for a visit to Alamogordo.

What a fun motel to stay at when traveling through New Mexico! Our family of 2 adults and 3 teens stayed here in June and we loved it. Reservations are by calling and they wrote your name on the books, no confirmation via email. Place was absolutely immaculate and cleaner than the 5 previous nights in Fairfield Inns and SpringHill Suites. We had the family room with 3 queens and no pull out couch! Our room had microwave and a bigger (not full-size) fridge! Ice machine and sleds with wax to borrow are by the office. Owners are so nice to talk to and helpful. Breakfast was basic but included! The teens said it was one of their favorite places to stay so far! No pool, but it makes up for it in old-school charm. Oldest neon sign in town. We are so glad we stayed and we even saw full moon out front and sunrise by back fence the next morning. So convenient to White Sands National Park!

Spotlessly clean. Huge comfortable bed. Lovely owner. Wonderfully old fashioned style but NEVER shabby or worn out. Well maintained. Lovely and quiet but in the middle of town and close to all amenities. Highly recommended and I don’t want to leave.

Our room was pretty small, but we only needed it for a night's rest. Bed comfortable, room clean. Location is good near the south end of town, lots of nearby restaurants. I'm unable to review the breakfast, we were in a hurry to move on in the morning. Would stay again.

This older property has been updated with modern furniture and fixtures. Very clean and comfortable. The owner and staff are very pleasant. You can see that there’s pride in ownership by how the motel is maintained. I had a room in the back, facing the mountains. There are chairs and a small table outside each room. I enjoyed seeing the mountains lit by the setting sun. Being able to park my motorcycle a few feet from my door was an added plus.

Pro The room was clean and the motel appeared to be recently painted. Con Stayed in room 26. The a/c sounded like a jet engine. Had to turn it off at midnight to get any sleep. Temps outside at 98 degrees. Toilet was not secured to floor and rocked back and forth. Also, no exhaust fan in bathroom and tub knobs were practically falling off. Other than those minor things, a great place to stay. lol.
