My stay at the Intercontinental Fujairah from May 25th to June 2nd was a mixed experience, with both notable positives and significant drawbacks. Pros: Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the hotel was commendable. Room service was efficient and met all my needs promptly. Requests for amenities like dental kits and body wash gel were fulfilled within 15 minutes. However, for a hotel of this class, items like the dental kit should be available in the room upon arrival, and daily replenishment of amenities should be automatic. Staff: The staff were generally friendly and attentive. A special mention goes to Nagar from room service, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful. At the adults’ pool, lifeguard Mohan provided outstanding service by reserving a cabana for us, supplying cold water with ice, and ensuring we had fresh towels. Pools: The pools, especially the adults' pool, were clean and well-maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Beach: The beach was pristine, with clean sand and clear water, free of any garbage. Nama Restaurant: The service at Nama restaurant/buffet was top-notch. Special thanks to barista Gaurav for his delicious cocktails and to staff members Vasty, Yugesh, Govind, and Yumi for their exceptional service, making each meal special and enjoyable. Yugesh even surprised us with a plate of shrimps on our last dinner, which added a personal touch to our dining experience. Cons: Beach Service: There was no service on the beach, which was a major letdown. Guests had to walk 100 meters on hot sand to get towels from the infinity pool area and spread them out themselves, which is not expected at a 5-star hotel. Additionally, there was no option to order food or drinks directly to the beach. All-Inclusive Package: The all-inclusive package was disappointing. It included only a limited selection of drinks and no snacks or meals, unlike the more comprehensive offerings at competing hotels like Address Fujairah, where you can enjoy cocktails, smoothies, salads, and burgers. Furthermore, the bar servicing the all-inclusive package was a significant letdown. It was essentially just a counter, always crowded, with no sunshade. Guests had to wait in the blazing sun (40 degrees Celsius) to be served, and the staff were super rude and condescending. It felt like being humiliated for getting drinks that were already included in the hefty price paid for the all-inclusive package. Food Quality: The food at the hotel was lackluster, with limited variety and repetitive options. The beef, chicken, and fish dishes were often dry, and the salads were overly acidic and salty. The seafood night was a highlight, offering crabs, shrimps, mussels, and various fish, but the absence of Dibba Bay oysters and fresh, ripe fruits was a downside. Check-in Process: The check-in process was quick, but important information about the all-inclusive package, late checkout, lunch on the day of checkout, and complimentary spa treatments were not communicated until I a
