Kurulu Bay

Once you arrive you will feel relaxed, we are here for one night in a lovely villa with pool, very clean food was nice kitchen and dining area very well designed. Hotel staff very attentive and will to help, management team understand hospitality and customer experience, wish we had a few more days here but maybe next time.

We stayed at Kurulu Bay in the Hora cottage, which was aesthetically pleasing and beautifully designed, blending seamlessly with the jungle environment. However, we did encounter some issues with mice over two nights of our stay. While this was initially disappointing, the manager’s response was exemplary. They moved us to the Heli cottage, where we had no further issues, and went above and beyond to make amends by refunding a night’s rate, offering complimentary meals for the remainder of our stay, and expressing heartfelt apologies. Their genuine effort to remedy the situation made a huge difference and left a positive impression. The jungle setting at Kurulu Bay is a perfect retreat—peaceful, serene, and incredibly relaxing. During our stay, a retreat was being held, and I was initially worried it might impact our experience. However, I couldn’t have been more wrong. If I hadn’t been informed, I wouldn’t have even noticed it was happening. The ambience remained tranquil throughout, and it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. One highlight that simply cannot be missed is the kitchen at Kurulu Bay. The food was absolutely amazing—each meal was a culinary masterpiece. Even when dishes featured the same protein, the flavours were distinct and perfectly balanced. Every bite was an experience in itself. If you’re ever in the area, I would strongly recommend visiting the restaurant, even if you’re not staying at Kurulu Bay. Despite the initial hiccup, the overall experience was phenomenal. The combination of stunning surroundings, attentive staff, and incredible food makes Kurulu Bay a destination I would wholeheartedly recommend. The care and hospitality we received turned what could have been a negative experience into a truly memorable one. Don’t hesitate to visit—you won’t regret it!

Honestly I think of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Amazing food & service! Especially the service was great! Always there for you physically as online to assist you with anything. Will def be getting back here! Congrats to the whole team!

From the moment you enter Kuluru Bay you realize you are in a special place. A lush green tastefully manicured oasis where the facilities have all been built with special care not to disturb any of the original trees. The tasteful rooms are thoughtfully placed within this tropical jungle paradise. The service and attention to detail is simply perfection. A walk to the dinning room takes you through giant trees where you might see monkeys with their small babies swinging through the lush canopy. The dinning room, with a full staff of cooks and waiters, offers Sri Lankan and International dishes. All prepared to perfection. The rooms are large and very tastefully designed with every amenity you could ask for! Another real 10 out of 10 experience!

One of the best places I’ve ever been to. The villa itself was so zen, we canceled all our plans to go sightseeing and stayed at the hotel because it was so calming! The staff was incredibly friendly and super welcoming! Mr. Peter was a delight! He personally welcomed us and always checked in with us! The architecture is just amazing! The room was very well made and not to forget the monkeys who came by every evening! We loved how blended the villas were with the nature! The food at the restaurant was just mouth watering! It was so good that me and my husband were looking forward to each meal! I recommend Kurulu bay 100% and if you want to have a proper getaway, this is your place!

Hotel is amazing! We got there at about 11 PM and even though restaurant and everything works till 10 PM we could have dinner and swim in the pool. Restaurant food was really really good. They have variety of options and everything is so good. While you enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner you can still enjoy nature cause everything is made around nature. All the trees that were there before are still there so that is why there are monkeys in the whole resort. Staff is very kind and is always here to help and organize whatever you want. They can always get you tuk tuk or car to take you to safari, local beach or any other destination. We had really good time and I would recommend coming here with your familiy, friends or even alone.
