Hotel Tara Palace

My recent stay at Tara Palace Hotel was a horrible experience. While the staff were courteous and the hotel's location is superbly close to the Taj Mahal, the condition of the property, including the rooms and bathrooms, was far below acceptable standards. The rooms were in poor condition, with noticeable seepage and a foul smell. Pictures online appear to be heavily photoshopped or possibly from a different property altogether. Our room's air conditioning unit was leaking water, which dripped onto us while we slept, forcing us to turn it off. Additionally, the bathroom was so unsanitary that we chose not to use it. The lack of basic amenities like a telephone in the room further contributed to our dissatisfaction. The overall experience felt like a vacation spoiler, and it's evident that the owners, some Goyals, are more interested in exploiting guests than in maintaining the property. They seem to be the "***** of Agra" in our group’s view. Don't trust MakeMyTrip or Google reviews blindly—my experience shows that they can be misleading. I would not recommend staying at Tara Palace Hotel based on my experience.
