Paralos Kosta Alímia

Absolutely loved this hotel from the warm welcome to everything about it, we stayed in a swim-up junior suite the room was immaculate the bed was massive and very comfy it was spotlessly clean. The pools were lovely and the setting is very tranquil with private cabanas and sunbeds on the beach (at no extra charge) with waiter service by the pools and beach at the press of a button. The food was of a very high standard having never done half board in Greece before the 5 restaurant choices were a good addition and had a lot of variety the steak house was our favorite cooked to perfection. lovely staff especially Alexis the barman who made the best gin cocktail I have ever tasted and a big shout out to the reservations manager Katerina who really, looked after us. we will 100% return to this beautiful hotel :)

Where to start, our holiday was fantastic. The hotel, gardens, pools and landscaping are immaculate providing a relaxing space around every corner. We booked a swim up room due to an injury earlier this year and needed a ground floor room, everything I needed was accessible using crutches and being creative I was able to use the pool. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and polite especially Barbara who greeted us at breakfast, which was a veritable feast. All the food was of the highest standard and the presentation was stunning, the only problem was deciding what to choose. We are planning on returning next year and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing holiday.

This hotel has pulled out all the stops. We arrived and was greeted by the front of house ladies with genuine bright smiles. Was told to sit down at reception, fill in a few forms and was offered some cold refreshing towels and a lovely ice cold drink. The hotel has gone through some major renovations and looks brand new when you step inside and explore around. We were then shown to our rooms which were on the ground floor, perfect for us and our friends were right next door to us. Outside we had a little garden area, nice green grass and overlooking a little pond which had tortoises in them too with a table and seating area on the back balcony. The rooms were adequate for us, absolutely huge bed, think it was king size, bathroom with shower and toilet separate and a nicely tiled floor too. As the bed in our rooms, and I assume in many of the rooms are raised, the base of the bed does stick out and when you walking around it, it is easy to bang your leg on the corner of the bed. Just take care that the bed does not end where the mattress is. Didn't bother me, but some people we have spoken to have had some injuries walking around their bed and knocking their leg on the bed frame. The staff: All the staff are super friendly, go out of their way to help you or accommodate you. One staff member in particular was Afroditi ( with the glasses). What a gem to have in your establishment. So friendly, very chatty and so very helpful. 10 out of 10 for her. All the other staff are amazing too and made our stay indeed very exceptional. From us all four, A MASSIVE THANK YOU. The restaurants: The food from our first night was outstanding. We ate at the Mediterranean restaurant and the dishes were so tasty and was enjoyed by our whole party, party of 4. You are offered a menu, choose your starter and choose your main dish, dessert was served after these 2 courses and a menu will be brought to your table to choose your dessert. Any drinks will need to be signed or paid for if you have any, we were half board. The service from the staff working the restaurants we just couldn't fault. Now, the hotel boasts 5 restaurants and it's all at the back of the hotel, overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean Ocean. The restaurants are split, which I think is absolutely brilliant, you will be taken to your area for your chosen restaurant and it all has open kitchens so it is a pleasure watching the restaurant staff/ chefs preparing your food. We had amazing meals for the 10 days we stayed here with only one night where my fish was slightly undercooked, but the staff immediately corrected it for me with a brand new piece of fish cooked to perfection. On our last day, we had to check out at 12, which is standard in many hotels, we could have purchased a room for a late check out, but the hotel offered us the use of the shower facility at the Spa so we could have a shower and change before we set off for our flight back home in the late afternoon. What a lovely gesture. Gr

Design & Comfort 10&10 Food 11/10 Service 12/10 We had the most wonderful ten days! We cannot praise the place enough… the staff across the entire hotel made it such a wonderful experience throughout. Comfortable hotel room & sunbeds and the food is to die for…five a la carte restaurants and the food was outstanding at every single meal with a great selection of wines. Plus never experienced such a breakfast with so many options and such high quality! As two people with gluten allergies they did everything they can to accommodate us and we felt super comfortable and not limited at all (thanks especially to Giota and her team!). The entire service team always had a smile on their faces! Everyone is so friendly, that you feel like you’re on holidays the minute you arrive. We will 100% return and recommend to others!

Having recently re-opened after a refined re-development and name change the Kosta Alimia will be a little jewel in the crown of Crete Hotels. The staff in the week of opening have been working all the hours to make the guest's feel special and state of the art rooms and personal pool's lead off the stone walk ways through the mediteranian gardens and palm trees. You are greeted by the 2 Marias on the check in desk who are overseen by Katerina the front of house manager who deals with all the needs of the guest as soon as any arise. The Restaunts serve an excellent mix of foods for all tastes, the staff there cannot do enough to help you, listen and remember your requests for every service, Maria and Nektaria both superb to name but two. The new Spa is also an excellent feature if you need an amazing Neck, shoulder and back massage, Miriam will relax you and have you leaving a different person. The Hotel is almost finished, and when it is, then a must stay hotel in a stunning part of Crete. Well done, Team Paralos Kosta Alimia. Rm 402
