Elounda Bay Palace, a Member of the Leading Hotels of the World

This was our 4th visit to Elounda Bay Palace, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming as always. We love this hotel and we were given an upgrade, as our previous booking was changed due to the rooms been refurbished. We were given a suite with a shared pool, which was a surprise. Lovely and clean, a bottle of wine with a bowl of fruit and local desserts on the table for us. The view was limited, but it was fine for the week stay. Our neighbours were happy to chat and we gave advice on the local area. We were on a half board basis, and the food was delicious and hot. A great selection of dishes available and really nice desserts too. The waiters & waitress were always there to help and we would have a nice chat with them during dinner. We only had water during our meals, and we already know about the cost of water so not an issue for us. We walked into Elounda every day to buy supplies. But unfortunately during our stay, there was a heatwave of 45c. So it was uncomfortable but we just took our time. Because of this, we hired a car for 2 days to take the strain of walking in the heat. There are plenty of sun beds available and the sea is a nice temperature. I did use the pool, which we had to share. I personally don’t like shared pools, not that I don’t like sharing, it’s just that because I am on the Autistic spectrum, I like my own pool. That aside, it was a really relaxing, fun, and enjoyable week away. We have booked for a week in early June 2025 for my birthday, again. So looking forward to an amazing time and seeing the beautiful Elounda and the staff of the Elounda Bay Palace.

We have just returned from our holiday at Elounda Bay Hotel, we had a lovely De luxe Sea View room, with fantastic views. This is our third time at this Hotel, I have to say that last year the food was not that great, but this year with a new chef the food was so much better, and there was a good choice of food as well. I don’t eat Pork or red meat, so last year this was a problem for me, so we had to eat out most of the time, but this year there was plenty of lovely fresh fish, including sea bass and choice of chicken dishes. My only crititsim being, it is a buffet restaurant, parents where allowing children to handle food on the buffet table, if they changed their minds or starting creating a scene the food was put back on the table. This is not hygenic at all, and really puts you off eating certain foods, plus the children were dropping food on the floor which is dangerous for older people, for a 5* Hotel this is not acceptable. The other point is that I have to take medication with my meal, I don’t drink alchohol, so I had to pay 6 Euros every night for a large bottle of water to take my mediation, as you were not allowed to take water into the restaurant. The majority of Hotels around the world offer free water with your meal, but it seems that in Greek Hotels they charge you for everything. We were also very surprised that the Climate Resilience tax has gone up from 10 Euros last year to 15 Euros this year per room per night, we were there for 12 nights, so we had to pay a further 180 euros, this is much higher that other European countries. The Hotel is lovely, although it is very quiet in the evenings, no entertainment at all, except a lady playing the piano in the restaurant every evening, although she is quite good,its not very stimilating. The two beaches are beautiful, lovely for swimming, the toilets by the beach are spotless all through the day, the Sale Bar is great for drinks, but there was no where to get a light snack at lunchtime while we were there. The staff as always were superb, with special thank you to the lovely lady who cleaned our room every day Joanna, Maria and George who served us at the Sale Bar, Frangisco our lovely beach man who looked after us so well every day putting our sun beds out, nothing was too much trouble for him and not forgetting Victoria on the Customer Relations desk, what we would have done without her, always so friendly and vey helpful. We went at the end of June, and it was very full, I think if we go again we will pick a slightly later time, plus this is very much a family hotel.

We just wrapped up an important business meeting and event at the Elounda Bay Palace resort in Crete, and it was a huge success! The team was amazing! Super responsive and professional. From planning to execution, everything was seamless. The staff was dedicated to delivering exceptional service and really knew what they were doing. Our guests loved the resort's stunning setting and the warm hospitality of the staff. We're so grateful to the entire team at Elounda Bay Palace for their hard work and dedication. MICE team, fb team, receptionist, houskeeping... All of them made us feel likes part of a big family and they reserve a big THANK YOU! We can't wait to work with them again and we will!!

Fabulous stay! The service is impeccable and flawless. Arrived at 1am and greeted by both a receptionist and a porter to take bags to our room. The location is superb. Elounda is only a 15 minute walk away with plenty of drinking and eating options right on the water. The hotel has two glorious private sandy beaches plus two pools. Don't forget to visit Spinalonga too. We've stayed in many hotels on a number of Greek islands, and this one is hard to beat! We will most definitely be back!

Another return visit to this delightful hotel. Set in a bay with its sister hotel - Elounda Beach - with its own private beach. Many staff are loyal employees over many years who provide both knowledge and a sense of welcome comfort to guests. General manager Dimitris instills his own high values & standards in the staff who year after year provide a "can do" service with a smile. We found a good variety of buffet style hot & cold food for both breakfast & dinner with continual replenishment. Ideal spot for a quiet, relaxing holiday with excellent service.

What an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome and impeccable service made us feel right at home. The rooms are spacious and elegantly designed, with breathtaking views over the bay. We loved the variety of restaurants, especially the beachfront dining options – fresh seafood and sunsets make a perfect combination. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful, luxurious escape!
