Meliti Hotel (Adults Only)

Reservamos una estancia de dos noches en una habitación con piscina privada. Empecemos por las ventajas, que, lamentablemente, son menores que las desventajas. El hotel (especialmente la habitación) está muy bien ubicado, con vistas al mar. La piscina y el balcón son muy grandes, con un pequeño patio exterior para sentarse a disfrutar de las bebidas y dos tumbonas para tomar el sol. Lamentablemente, el tiempo no nos acompañó (lluvia y viento) y no pudimos disfrutar de esta parte de la habitación. La piscina tiene un filtro que renueva el agua todo el día, lo cual es bueno, pero el resultado es agua fría si el tiempo no acompaña. La cama era muy cómoda y suave. La habitación tenía dos aparatos de aire acondicionado que proporcionaban una temperatura agradable. El desayuno es bastante bueno, muy variado y con cosas diferentes cada día. La mayoría del personal fue educado y amable. Ahora, las desventajas. Cabe mencionar que, lamentablemente, el tiempo no acompañó, así que los pequeños detalles desagradables se notaron fácilmente. Nos registramos y fuimos a nuestra habitación solos. Para un hotel de 4 estrellas, esperaría al menos una visita a la habitación y a todo lo incluido. La habitación estaba limpia, pero no tan limpia como esperábamos por el precio. Había polvo en algunas zonas y tanto la bañera como el cabezal de la ducha estaban llenos de sal. La habitación tiene una bañera grande en la esquina del dormitorio, lo cual es un buen detalle, pero no funcionaba del todo. Le faltaba un botón para elegir de dónde salía el agua (del grifo o del cabezal de la ducha) y el cabezal de la ducha estaba roto. Llamamos a recepción y vinieron a cambiar el cabezal, pero no pudieron arreglar el botón, así que tuvimos que llenar el cubo de la basura con el cabezal durante media hora. Tras pedirlo, nos dieron una pequeña herramienta para presionar el botón, pero solo funcionó una vez (era demasiado grande y no cabía en el agujero), así que no lo volvimos a intentar. El patio exterior estaba bien, pero el suelo de madera no estaba listo para el verano. Salían pequeños trozos de madera por todas partes, lo que hacía que pisáramos y nos hiciéramos daño en los pies; tuvimos que usar chanclas. La piscina parecía genial, pero no la usamos por el mal tiempo y el agua fría, pero estaba sucia cuando llegamos. Así que tuvieron que venir a limpiarlo durante nuestra estancia. La habitación con baño y ducha separados es una ventaja, pero la desventaja es que el lavabo también está fuera de ambas habitaciones, como en la habitación principal. La mininevera estaba completamente vacía, una de las primeras veces que veo algo así en un hotel. Solo teníamos una botellita de agua, fuera de la nevera, esperándonos. Pagamos 300 euros por una estancia de dos noches. Lamentablemente, no tiene buena relación calidad-precio. Quizás si hiciera buen tiempo podríamos ocuparnos de estos detalles, pero aun así, un hotel de 4 estrellas debería ofrecer una estancia agradable. Nadie, excepto el amable trabajador que nos enviaron, pidió disculpas por el mal estado de la piscina, el cabezal de la ducha y el botón roto (sin arreglar). Ni lo mencionaron ni ofrecieron reembolsos, descuentos ni cenas gratis.

Cute hotel with great views in the breakfast area, and nice staff. Also, the view of the hill at the semi-private pools is beautiful. The cleaning was done thoroughly daily in our room. As a nice bonus, there is a cute cat that comes to join at breakfast time every other day.

We booked 3 nights at this hotel in a share pool with sea views. We arrived to be told there was a problem with our room and they were putting us in another room for the first night. We were put in a small room with the tiniest shower and bathroom I have ever seen. This was their basic room at considerably less cost than the room we had booked. No apology, no offer of compensation. When we complained loudly we were offered a free meal. We went to the restaurant that night and were given the menus. When they came to take our order I mentioned we had a free meal as compensation. They immediately gathered up our menus and said there was a problem. We were then handed the very basic half board menus. Once again we raised our voices and were given back the a la Carter’s menus. The next morning we waited and waited for our correct room to be available. We were told the cleaners on that floor didn’t start till 11am (even though they were around on other floors at 10am). We packed our bags and waited in reception and eventually were given the keys to our share pool room at 12.15pm. No offer of help with bags to relocate. This hotel is lacking in maintenance and cleaning standards are low. The staff are not particularly friendly and there are not many smiles. Fortunately our other hotels in Crete were a much more pleasant experience.

Not gear at all this year. We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and we were really disappointed. Last year we stayed in the hotel for an entire week and we loved it and that is why we came back. However, this year the room was dirty, there were damages on the walls, the bath tub in the bedroom did not work properly and many more. When we arrived we've been told that there was an issue with the filter in the pool and they recommended us a different room which was a lot smaller than the one that we booked. We' ve been told that they would fix the pool the next day so we decided to stay in the room that we booked. However, the issue with the pool was not just the filter, the glass was really dirty most likely because people have been swimming after they've applied sunscreen, we were touching the glass and the dirt was coming out, also the sun beds and the sofa in the terrace were really dirty as well as the couch in the room. Additionally, the was like a shower room in the suit and the floor was slippery most likely because it has not been cleaned properly for days. The room has a really good view and the staff is really friendly, the hotel is offering a small breakfast buffet which is quite nice but the whole experience this year was not great at all.

Double superior room with sea view had actually a view of 15 air conditioning units and giant electrical pole in front of the balcony. We were obliged to switch rooms for a less offensive view and were put into a standard size room. Ridiculously small and uncomfortable bathroom and the air conditioning did not work (only worked as a fan). Black out curtains but several lights sources in the room. Too many problems for a short stay.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Hotel was very clean, bright and welcoming. We arrived late and Iwavva (Joanne) welcomed us like family. We loved our room a unit on the top floor with access to a shared pool. The views are amazing. The breakfast was plentiful with many selections. We had dinner there 2 nights and we’re not disappointed, amazing flavours. The staff in the restaurant and bar were great and looked after us daily. A special thanks to Iwavva and the front desk for going above and beyond with dining and boat cruise recommendations to checking in every day as to where we went and saw. She made the stay here the best. We will definitely return to this place and will recommend to everyone
