Candia Park Village

Candia park village has always been my favourite place, it's beautiful and feel relaxed this was my 7th time going and some things have changed over the years, the rooms are lovely and have had new bathrooms fitted, I was in room 951 which was at the very top so was a bit of a trek getting up to the room but it had a perfect view and was so quiet up there so was lovely, the 2 cleaners that did our room were lovely, they always greated us with a smile, said hello and did a lovely clean, the pool is great although I thought it was abit late opening at 10am as some people like a early swim, the people in reception were always happy to help book you a taxi or deal with any questions you had , there is a shop which sells milk water chocolate etc, there was a lot of younger children there so seems to have gone more of family's going so did slightly feel out of place I think we were the only ones without kids so it would be great if more couples went to bring a bit of night time enjoyment back as everyone seem to disappear after there evening meal. if you want a peaceful pint then it's perfect, the poolbar is open late so it's lovely sitting looking out to sea with a nightime drink listening to the waves, vicky and doxa at the bars are amazing cheerful and friendly and make your time there enjoyable, they are lovely ladies and I have never met nicer people, the beach is so beautiful and so easy getting in the sea for a swim as they have taken away all the big borders you used to nearly break your toes and ankles on lol so that's a great changed they have made, there is also water sports there jet skis donoughts etc and are great to watch people having fun on them , the bus transfer was not the best as it took 2 hours 20 mins to get from the airport, I've no idea why it took that long as usually you get there in about 1 hour and because it took so long we didn't arrive until about 1am so reception had some lovely sandwiches for us that had been made earlier which was a lovely surprise and they were so tasty too.

Can not complain about this place. It was our first time in Crete and we absolutely loved it. We arrived late evening on the first night, the staff were more than welcoming, they were great with our tired and cranky kids and fed everyone while we checked in. We went last year in Oct close to the end of season, so the pool was a bit cold but the sea was like a bath and we spent most of our days down on the gorgeous beach. Even though it was Oct there was still plenty of sun too. We loved the village set up of the accommodation, the whole facility felt safe and secure, especially with kids. The room was more than adequate for the little time we spent in there and the maids did a wonderful job every day. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with all our enquiries about booking taxi's into town and what restaurants to eat at etc. It was busy and full of nice families but it wasn't load and annoying and cramped, there was loads of space around the pool and beach, perfect for relaxing. The onsite shop was perfect for all our daily needs, we made sandwiches for days at the pool and beach and treated ourselves to the onsite ice cream parlour and coffee shop too. You can order food and refreshments online via the pool bar and get it delivered to your sun lounger which was a real bonus. We stayed half board and the food was more than fine, always a large choice, kids choice too. Themed nights and entertainment. We loved it so much were off back here in 2026 and we cant wait.

🌿 General Experience We had such a beautiful time at Candia Park Village! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm and friendly energy. The facilities are top-notch, perfect for families and couples alike. There’s a more private beach area on the left side, ideal for some peaceful moments as a couple. The whole atmosphere helps you reconnect with nature, your loved ones, and even the kid inside of you! Truly a special place.

We came here already for the second time, since we loved it so much last year. It was once again amazing. Nowhere else have we experienced such warmth and hospitality from the staff. Food was even better than last year (more seafood offers this time). The kids and us enjoyed the whole village style resort. A big thank you to Antonis from the restaurant, his service was outstanding and he always had great wine recommendations. This year we rented a car for one day to explore Crete a bit, we can highly recommend it.

The Candia Park has been a wonderful experience, we stayed in a Serenety Suite and it was excellent. Very friendly staff everywhere. I had the Calm Sea massage at the spa and would really recommend it. Ask for Emma, she is calm, warm and very skilled. The massage treatment was like a wonderful 40 minute vacation -inside the vacation.
