The Sand Suites - Adults Only

We stayed for a week in the unique suite. It is as spectacular as it looks on the pictures. The pool is massive for 2 people and the views are stunning. Everything is super clean and beautiful decorated. Breakfast being brought to your room every morning was delicious and enough food for lunch. The service was outstanding! Dimitris the manager couldn’t do enough for us and made our stay super special. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The lovely Mariana brought our breakfast with a smile every morning and again couldn’t do enough for us. You have a private path onto the beach but we just stayed in the room which honestly felt like paradise. Agios Nikolaos is a big town with lovely places to eat and drink only 5 mins in a taxi. We will 100% be back.

Just returned from a lovely week in the sand suites. We couldn’t fault our stay at all. The rooms were cleaned to very high standards every day. We had a bottle of wine in our fridge upon arrival. The staff are amazing. Dimitris the manager is outstanding at his job- always on hand when you need something and always goes the extra mile. It was my 30th birthday whilst we were away and I came back to our room with a cake on the table and rose petals on the bed. The housekeeping & breakfast girls are lovely & friendly too (I didn’t manage to get their names) but are fab. The overall suites are lovely and quiet, a very relaxing atmosphere with a walk way to the beach. Our plunge pool suite was good and had two balconies - one view of the mountains and another of the sea. We will definitely be returning in the future. We got engaged whilst in Crete so maybe be back for our honeymoon one day?! Thank you for an excellent stay.

We stayed at the Sand Suites for 4 nights in late September 2023. We chose to stay in the Sand Suite, which I believe is their largest room. The room was luxurious and well appointed. The entire facility is spotless and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We very much looked forward to opening our breakfast box on our private balcony overlooking the ocean every morning. The customer service we received from the concierge, Maximos was outstanding! He was completely responsive to all our needs and was quick to offer suggestions on local restaurants and attractions.

We stayed at the Sand Suites in August and it was fantastic. The room was spotless and cleaned every day. The pool that was with our suite was beautiful with comfy beds to lie on and different places to sit. Breakfast was amazing and enough food was provided in the breakfast box to cover lunch as well. What a lovely was it was to receive breakfast.... delivered to your room at the time you requested and you could sit outside, relax and enjoy. From freshly squeezed orange juice, to scrambled egg with feta (my favourite) to spinach pies and freshly made coffee you couldn't want for more. The access to the beach was perfect a trot down a flight of stairs, across the blue river bridge and straight onto the sand and it was such a lovely beach. You could walk to town if you wanted to from here, but you could also book a taxi if needed. The staff were amazing, the lady that cleaned and brought breakfast was fantastic (we never got her name) always smiling and helpful and Maximus the receptionist was great always answering your texts in minutes for a taxi or advice. When we arrived late at night from the airport (22:40) he had booked us a taxi at 23:00 to a restaurant in the town and we sat there till 1am by the beautiful lake and had fantastic food. What a wonderful way to start the holiday. Can't recommend this place enough it really is a beautiful and secret little find.

We have just got back from an amazing honeymoon at The Sands Suites. Wow what a place! The suites are beautiful and a good size with everything you could need/want. Depending on your room you will either have views of the mountains or the sea. There is a 3* resort next door that has a mini market you can use and even a pool. Our suite had a plunge pool so it was nice to have the pool next door as an alternative. The suites are very clean and tidied/cleaned daily if you wish. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, Maximos on reception is exceptional. The breakfasts are simply fantastic, simple ingredients done really well and there was actually enough food to feed us lunch as well. Very well presented in a box delivered to your room every morning. It was exciting to open it every day. You only need to walk down a few steps and you’re straight onto the beach. It has stunning views of the mountains and sun beds you can rent for the day. Added bonus, there is a beautiful river running into the sea that you can also swim in, it can be cold though so if you prefer the warmth, stick to the sea. Agios Nikolaos has lots to offer. A harbour, beautiful beaches, shops and some amazing restaurants. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and the only thing bad about this holiday was having to say goodbye. Couldn’t recommend more.

We had a wonderful time at the Sands Suites. The apartment with private pool is tastefully furnished. The only down point was discovering that the hotel next door is so close and in view of the pool and that there's music the whole day. We especially liked the service from the whole team, they were super friendly and fast with accommodating our wishes. Lydia, our host, was making us feel at home. We loved her recommendations for where to go and interacting with her cordial manners and her local's view. Thanks a lot again!
