I don’t even know where to begin. It says in the description that this is a simple hotel and that’s fine but simple doesn’t mean the same thing as unfunctional. We were first staying in room #12 with a ”partial sea view” (note: there is NO sea view at all, so that is a scam). We were given probably the worst room in the complex. The lock on the door was not working and the door handle was loose. That seemed to happen in other rooms too and the reception bathroom. The room #12 was big with marble floors, which was nice. The beds were horrible and hard. In the bathroom the soap rack had fallen down and the shower head couldn’t be adjusted and was leaking. Water turned cold every 15 secs. Cleaning was terrible - not even once were our towels replaced by new ones, one towel was just taken away. After a long day we came go room (after first cleaning) and the toilet smelled like strong pee. This was not the case when we left the room. The toilet washing thing was yellow from pee and also it’s holder - so how did this pee get in there?? I cannot think of any other reason than the cleaning lady peeing on it. We were given the remote for AC and two days later the reception man said that the AC costs 10€ per day which we were not informed of when we checked in! We were not happy about this and returned the remote. The reception man promised us a new room after staying in room 12 for 5 nights. The reseption lady came pounding our door in the morning and asking what is going on, why have been promised a new room why why why and why the reception man had written down something on a paper and patience was now running really thin and I told her that I don’t know, you need to discuss this with the man. On Monday we were given a new room, probably the best one number #19 with a sea view. The room itself was really nice and clean and beautiful. We were happy. BUT… the air con did NOT WORK. It was 29,5 centigrade in the room at that point. The reception lady said she doesn’t know how it works and asked us to ask this from the reception man in the evening. So we did but the man could not figure it out and asked us to ask this from the lady again - I mean, what the **** is this? The employees of the hotel do not know how the AC works and are not willing to fix that? The superior sea view room costs like 300€ a night so if you got the monies, take them somewhere else please if you do not want to spend a night in over 30 centigrade - it was sad that we could not sleep at all. Overall - I work in the field of customer service and I want to make all the people happy. The staff in Atlantida Mare are mostly rude, especially the cleaning lady who doesn’t know English, rolls her eyes all the time and smokes more cigarettes than she does clean. Who is the owner of this place??? Please fix the locks on the doors and other things - this is not how you do business and you will lose all your customers. In the end I wish you no harm.
