Riad Clé de Sol

I stayed here for 3 nights with my friend, we wanted to stay out of the hustle and bustle of marrakech and this place certainly ticks that box. It feels in the middle of nowhere (which when travelling from the airport can be a bit scary as the drive is quite long and lots of dirt tracks!) On arrival we were met by the staff members who were warm and welcoming. Unfortunately the weather was damp and chilly and so the beauty of the place did not present itself immediately. The room we had was dark but beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan decor. The facilities are on the basic side, but we had to keep reminding ourselves that it’s not a hotel! The bed was comfy, we had to use the heating as it was so cold but it worked well. The staff make this place excellent. Hussain was amazing, always greeted us with a lovely smile, and could not do enough for us, he immediately responded to every message we sent him and sorted every request we had, he’s an absolute gem and to be honest was the highlight of the stay. As we were two females travelling alone he made us feel safe and looked after organising transport for us and ensuring we had everything we needed. The Riad is stunning, it’s well maintained, clean and the gardens are beautiful, I imagine even more beautiful in the height of the season when the flowers are all in bloom. It’s a lovely place to wonder round, there are beautiful seating areas everywhere and the roof terrace gives a vista that took our breath away. The snow capped Atlas Mountains rise out of the horizon, you can get lost in the view. The menu is not extensive but everything we had was beautifully cooked and displayed and we have no complaints at all! We are planning our return trip next year but will go slightly later in April to enjoy warmer evenings and to enjoy the beautiful pool. It’s a solid 5 stars from me, it’s opened my eyes to beauty of Morocco and I can’t wait to return

I can not recommend this place enough. It is a real oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, but within an hours drive for when you want to visit the city. There are also camel rides, argon oil trip and hikes in the mountains available within a short distance. Not only is the Riad itself absolutely beautiful, Hussaine and his team can not do enough for you, they really do go above and beyond. The welcoming you get from them is like arriving at a family members home and the friendly atmosphere continued throughout our stay as we made friends with the other guests staying at the Riad. Trips and Transport was arranged at the drop of a message to Hussaine as well as any food, drink or room requests. The view of the Atlas mountains from the rooftop in the morning was breathtaking, food was brilliant and rooms were clean. There are lots of different room options and Hussaine showed us around some of the other rooms available as we would like to come back with a bigger group next year.

Amazing staff especially Houssine. Go above and beyond As winter cold in evenings and early mornings and issue with heating when we were there. Place is 40 mins from Marrakech so any tours from Marrakech will need you to get there privately, which can be easily arranged by the reception Nice Villas and quiet area and easy to relax. Some updating of Villas would be good

Beautiful surroundings, very attentive staff. On arrival was given some tasty fresh mint tea and shown to our room. Which we were slightly disappointed with as was fairly basic in comparison to the photos we had seen online. Food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the lamb tagine was beautiful! Breakfast was very repetitive and tasteless so bit disappointed. Would have liked an option for more variety. We booked a hammam and guided tour of Marrakech with the hotel all was done for us which was great, however booked the hammam for 4 pm we eventually got it at 5.45 pm and it went on until 9. Would definitely recommend was certainly an experience! Only downside was price was not given and specifics on how and when to pay for things so there was some confusion on check out. The tour guide was brilliant! Drivers great! The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. No hairdryer in our room, was given a room to change in before leaving and it did have a hairdryer! Shower was 🥶 cold on day 2 but lovely and hot other days. All in all a beautiful experience, would return to Riad but in a different room!

From the moment we were welcomed by Sana we were treated like royalty. The suite we stayed in El Mamoun was exquisite, beautifully decorated and furnished in the traditional style. The young women who looked after us were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. They looked after us with a gentle demeanor which we loved. The food was delicious, they even catered for one of us who has food intolerances. The grounds and pool area are delightful. It was paradise, a peaceful sanctuary where we enjoyed every moment of this luxury. I would recommend this Riad 100%. We will definitely return. Thank you Sana and your lovely ladies for all you did for us, we were sad to leave

After three days in the Medina this certainly was where you would want to be. The stars of this Riad are the staff followed by the peaceful location. The staff were friendly and attentive but never intrusive and as our flight was later in the afternoon and it was quiet allowed us to keep the room until then. Good location to visit the Atlas Mountains. The hotel organised a driver for us to spend a day there and we had a lovely time. Any regrets? Wish we had stayed a few more days and the spa was closed for a couple of weeks for decoration sadly but they would have recommended one close to us.
