Adele Beach Hotel

An excellent week at this small charming hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming and we felt at home immediately. The room was basic but more than adequate for our needs. The cleaning was done to a high standard, we had a side sea view and the balcony was a great way to see the amazing view. I must add that the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The food was tasty and varied daily. Plenty of choices for everyone including vegetarians. As the hotel is small, the food was served in small dishes with the restaurant staff refreshed the food regularly ensuring that it was always fresh and hot. The location is second to none, right on the beach and it was a joy to eat dinner outdoors and watch the sun set. Reasonable choices at the bars, good local beer on tap and wine also perfectly acceptable. We did enjoy a few of the cocktails too. The hotel was calm and peaceful with the clientele made up of couples in the main. No entertainment is provided which wasn’t an issue for us. Previous reviews indicated that problems were encountered with over booking but we did not have any issues and were allocated the room that we were expecting. If you are looking for a small quiet hotel serving great food with attentive staff in the perfect beachfront setting, this could be the perfect place for you.

We highly recommend the Adele Beach. Not only a great location, right on the beach with a private area for guests, but close to shops, restaurants and cafes and a short bus or taxi ride to Rethymno which is well worth a visit. We arrived in the early hours and as the restaurant was closed the hotel provided a welcome snack and refreshing drink. The hotel offers a great choice of fresh food and the restaurant and pool staff were courteous and always smiling. A huge thanks to Nicos, a lovely man who seems to be everywhere, Anna (sweet, caring and so helpful) in the lobby bar, Katerina (reception)hugs and kisses Finally, a massive thanks to Christina who is not just a superb member of staff, but a beautiful person. Her manner, care and attention cannot be emphasised enough. We will always remember her great smile and willingness to help make our stay memorable.

Four of us li the party that travelled together.Flight from Bristol on time . Transfer waiting for us I then it went down hill. they didn't have a garden room for us as they were over booked .The hotel offered to put us up in another hotel even offered us a free hire car for the week. we told them no as we had 4 friends that travelled from Australia to meet us at this hotel. It seem like it was bordering on fraud The gave us two rooms with a 10 foot high wall in front of us,the only view we had was the sky and steep steps to go down and up.This appears to be the norm at this hotel as we overheard other travellers arguing with the reception staff.I would never trust this hotel again and I advise others not to book even if you have the paperwork stating the room . I have been upgraded before but never down graded. Besides being dark the room didn't even have any drawers to put your clothing in.Room safe was so high up you had to carry a chair in from outside yes there was not a chair to sit on in the room. The hotel is in a lovely place food was good room cleaned daily .Staff very pleasant .
