Brunker Suites

Our stay was a complete disaster from start to finish.. The advertised location is misleading, and the photos show a much better block that’s not where we ended up staying. After a long trip, we couldn’t even find the studio easily, leaving us exhausted from hauling our luggage up and down. To make matters worse, an alarm would go off almost every day, waking us up early and ruining any chance of rest. When I contacted the manager for help, they were rude, dismissive, and clearly annoyed that I called. They promised to send someone, but no one ever came. Parking was another nightmare—only 3 spots for over 10 studios. We were told they had an agreement with Henny Penny for parking, but it turned out to be false. We ended up getting a fine due to limited public parking options. On top of all this, the room was dirty when we arrived. Despite calling early for a cleaning service, no one showed up, and we had to clean it ourselves. The room was in poor condition—broken wardrobe, missing basic items like a toilet bin and towel rack, and a fire alarm hanging dislodged above our heads that no one bothered to fix. To cap it off, the internet was so slow we had to rely on our own data the entire time. This place is poorly managed and maintained. I strongly advise against booking here—save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.

It was everything it said it would be. Parking difficult, if staff beat you to one of the only 3 carparks. But the overflow in the shopping centre next-door was adequate. Quiet rooms and very clean. Good access to public transport. Even over holiday period, good access to shops and services.

Okay, so maybe I should have looked at the reviews rather than just the pretty pictures online! It is not the worst place that I have stayed at but there is much to do in ways of improving when better hotels are charging similar. Cleanliness needs to be greatly improved, luck I did look at the reviews after we booked and we bought our own sheets and pillows with us. There were random hairs all over the beds. Noise and lack of parking would be two other concerns but the location was great for the event we were attending and we survived to write this review. Moral to this review would be to always check reviews before booking and then make up your own mind. Hapoy travels.

A short drive to bar beach and Newy, me and my partner found it a pretty good stay. It was clean and had all the essentials. The studio apartment was spacious enough even tho we were stuck inside cause of the rain, we didn’t get sick of the surroundings. Yes there are only 3 car spots but there’s more parking next door in the shops, no hassle. The only somewhat annoying thing was that the sliding door to the bathroom was broken, meaning we had to lift it each time we wanted to close the door (we stayed in room 14). But eh who cares it was warm and clean and the bed was super comfy. Would stay again 👍
