No volveremos.

Firstly, can I say I have no qualms about Harbour Club as a place to holiday in Los Gigantes. It’s a lovely, clean, well equipped and maintained set of apartments. We stayed in Harbour Club Two. They’re divided into two sets: Harbour Club One and Two. One is situated around the reception, swimming pool and bar. Harbour Club Two is situated across the road. Drop off and return transfers are made at a bus stop approximately one hundred yards from reception. However, Harbour Club Two is accessed either by a quite steep road just across from the reception. Or, by climbing just over one hundred steep steps! (The resort info we read claims it is seventy) The steps are located a five to ten minute walk away from the reception further down the main road. This makes popping down to the pool a bit of a trek, having to navigate either the steps or the steep, winding road. Bearing in mind a lot of people have issues with their knees in later years, whether you’re in Harbour Club One or Two can make a big difference to the overall enjoyment of your holiday. Both receptionists I spoke to were very helpful. Also, the cleaning staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough either. Linen, towels, etc. were changed half way through our stay. Air conditioning would have been a great addition in September as the fans in the apartment we stayed in didn’t generate enough cool air during the hot Canarian nights.

We arrived at 23.00 on the 5th July 24 and were given the key at the main reception although we had received notification on route from First Choice that it would be closed and that we would need to use a key box facility.  The designated room was at the Annex building 250 yards away up a very steep hill. The receptionist offered to provide a free taxi but we were aware of the distance and had prepared to go by foot. The building was built into the hillside and the designated room was down 3 flights of stairs from the entrance on the hill. Our first impression of the apartment was that it was clean and in in good decorative order and initially seemed fine. However, when we opened the patio door we were dismayed to find that the terrace faced onto a 15 foot wall. In addition, when we tried to run the tap, the water flow was initially non existent and then at best became a trickle, it was cold with no hot water. We therefore immediately visited reception to report our concerns and requested another apartment. While we didn't necessarily expect a sea view we did think it reasonable to have a view of something and not to be incarcerated in a dungeon. I have never been in jail but would imagine that an inmate would have felt quite at home.  On our way back down to reception we found that the stair rail on the main staircase out of the annex was loose and wobbled. This made it feel unsafe. Subsequent inspection showed that the railing bracket rawlplug seemed to have loosened from the staircase wall. I checked later in the week and no action had been taken The receptionist who was still on duty and always helpful, explained that it was too late to do anything that night and asked that we return the following morning at 10.am when she would see what they could do. We returned to the apartment, had a cold wash and went to bed. The next morning the receptionist offered us an upgraded 1 bedroom apartment in the main building area at the cost of an extra 250 Euros. My wife and I had already decided that we could not stay in the allocated apartment and would need to try and find somewhere else. We therefore had little choice but to accept the new apartment and pay the money. The receptionist told us that TUI/First Choice only booked 1 bedroom apartments in the Annex and not in the main Harbour Club building itself. However, while we noticed that in the Annex building there were some apartments with excellent views, we don't know if these are available to First Choice or TUI customers. If they are, the contrast between those apartments couldn't be greater. We noticed that the apartment initially allocated to us did not appear to have any occupants after ourselves in the duration of our stay. This perhaps tells its own story. We settled into the new apartment which was absolutely excellent. The contrast between our experience of the Harbour Club Anex and the main Harbour Club complex couldn't have been greater. So the moral of our story is - be very

This place was a brilliant! I was sceptical as it had no stars 🌟 However the self catering apartment was great, they are a bit dated and traditional in style but very clean and had everything we needed. When we arrived there was Milk, juice and tea and coffee. The location is great with a number of lovely restaurants and a supermarket over the road. The pool was great and again very clean, plenty of sun beds we never struggled to get one and the hotel provides pool towels. The apartment was hot and they provided us with another fan instantly. This place well and truly exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back. There is a snack bar on site that provides nice food at reasonable price, service could be a bit slow at peak times but the food was always good. Overall I would reccomend this place. If you are looking for a chilled self catering apartment with a pool give it a go.

On arrival we struggled to open the balcony door and was met by a view of a high red wall with iron spiked railings. It was so disappointing. Any view is fine but a wall is totally unacceptable. We also felt like the poor relations. The pool and bar were excellent but you couldn't pop to your room. As we stayed in Harbour Club 2 which a 300m steep climb/walk away and we spent zero time on the hostel type balcony that brought back memories of student days!

Had a fantastic stay at this delightful self catering small complex. We were in Harbour 1, so close to the pool and restaurant. The apartment was very clean, comfy beds and pillows. The staff were fantastic, especially Juan. Everyone was happy and helpful. Los Gigantes is very hilly, lots of good restaurants. The local buses very easy to use and cheap.
