What a wonderful hotel in the middle of Old Town. You won't find the most recently renovated decor, but you will find a warm, inviting place to call home while in Kotor. The staff is reserved, but very attentive - the breakfast is a full spread of cakes & breads, cereals, cheeses & meats, made to order omelets & eggs, but sadly minimal fruit and vegetables. Lunch/Dinner have the the same menu - nothing fancy (a fish dish, pastas, and chicken) , but inexpensive and satisfying (especially during the pouring rain storms we endured and during which we did not want to search for a restaurant!) The accommodations are not ornate but the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the ambience is so appropriate for ”Old Town”

El apartamento está en la antigua ciudad, no sé si necesita llamar al jefe antes de que lo informe a qué hora llegar a la casa, así que cuando llegamos al apartamento comí ”cerrar la puerta”, el tiempo fue muy caliente para levantar el equipaje, sentarse a la puerta y esperar a que el jefe abra la puerta, me siento un poco divertido. Creo que Trip.com puede no saberlo. La habitación es muy grande, la higiene es limpia, el pub debajo es, no dejará de tocar música y ruido antes de media noche, si no le importa, vale la pena vivir un rato.

Excellent breakfast on the lake. Hotel offer private pool and private beach. We extended our stay at the hotel. Trip.com offers the best deal for this hotel, much cheaper then the official site (and we are IHG members) and all other sites. Reomnded to use Trip.com for the booking.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property, it’s in an ideal location 5-10 minute walk from the town. Parking provided if you have a car. The view from our balcony was sensational, the room was very clean and immaculately presented. The host was very welcoming and brought us a drink when we arrived, he gave us lots of info about the area and what to do and see. We loved the fact that it was more like a home with 2 lovely dogs to greet us every time we returned to the property. It felt more like home! The hosts son also helped us with the steps up to the property with our luggage which was much appreciated when you’re tired from travelling. 5 star property at a very good price. We would highly recommend to others.

La habitación tiene balcón, lavadora, cocina de inducción, frigorífico y lavavajillas. Es más como un apartamento estilo hotel. Nadie lo limpia todos los días y no hay restaurante. No hay ascensor. Hay una piscina en el patio, ubicada a medio camino de la montaña. Desde el estacionamiento se puede ver la bahía de Kotor. No solo se puede ver la vista al mar desde el balcón, sino también ver los aviones despegar y aterrizar en la orilla del mar. . Hay dos caminos hacia la montaña. El camino de montaña que sube desde Kotor es estrecho y sinuoso, así que tenga cuidado al conducir. El camino que sube desde Tivat es más suave. Un lugar muy rentable que vale la pena probar si conduces solo.

This is. Gorgeous hotel with 2 large swimming pools.We stayed in the king pool view room which had a huge balcony overlooking the pools and bay of Tivat.The hotel is on a hill in a smalll village so is better if u have a car as taxis are expensive .Nonetheless u can book tours if u don’t have a car.The bed was comfortable.The aircon worked extremely well ( only complaint is the bed only had sheets …a blanket or light duvet would be nice). Breakfast was fine .If u have a family or are disabled I’d suggest u book a pool view room as u can use the lift to access the upper pool/ breakfast and dining room.To access the second pool u need to go down a small flight of stairs.Second pool is surrounded by a garden , best views are from the top pool.The receptionist said they are creating a gym and spa so I’ll definitely be returning to check those out.The staff were all very friendly .The room was very clean.( I stayed in a 5 star hotel in Budva which was more money and didn’t come close to this hotel).Simply beautiful

El puerto montangro tiene una vista muy limpia sobre la colina. Los que tienen coches pueden preferir. No hay limpieza. Ni siquiera rodeos de baño. Pero lo mejor es que le dirá que quiere conocerte y se levantará antes de lo que ella dice y le dirá que quiere llevar su pasaporte con ella por ”una hora” o ”unas horas” o ”alguna vez” porque necesita en ”la oficina”. No una fotocópia, no una foto, pero quiere su pasaporte. Esto es ridículo. Si te quedas aquí, no le dé tu pasaporte! Está tratando de registrarte para pagar el impuesto de la ciudad, pero no necesita su pasaporte real. No hay otro hotel/apartamento que lo haga. En lugar de escuchar a Maya (o, de hecho, al propietario Srdan Petrovic), vaya a pagar el impuesto de la ciudad en su oficina (es en la antigua ciudad y usted va a ir allí en algún momento, es muy central). Hotel Monte Cristo is a boutique hotel situated in the historic Kotor Old Town. Hotel is about 5 minutes’ walk from the main entrance and it's almost the same distance towards the North Gate. Cars are not permitted inside the old town, hence, just like any other hotels inside the walls, you will have to walk with your bags towards the hotel. The original architecture seems to have been carefully preserved or restored, but it also has all the modern amenities. You have to climb up the steps to get to the hotel lobby situated on the first floor. Our room was on the second floor, hence, we had to climb again with all our bags, which was not a pleasant experience. There was no hotel staff to help us with the bags. The room, like the hotel, is styled in a vintage/old-fashioned manner with antique wooden furniture and cupboards. All rooms offer air conditioning, TV, free Wi-Fi, a minibar, electric kettle, telephone, locker, bathrobes, and slippers. The bed was saggy and not at all comfortable. It’s high time they change the mattresses. Bathroom has free toiletries and hair dryer. However, it was too small. There is no proper exhaust for the toilet. If you open the windows, then the opposite building is so near and there is no privacy. Breakfast is served in the restaurant located on the ground floor with its entrance from the street. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. Had a good buffet choice with a nice spread of meats, cheeses, breads, olives, cucumber, capsicum, cereals, pancakes, pastries, croissants, yogurts and loads of fresh fruit. Omelets were made to order and coffee or tea was served on the table as per our requirements. The staff were very professional and courteous in their approach, particularly the restaurant staff who very happily and patiently attended to us. Though I read several posts that it’s very noisy at night, we didn’t have any such issues. Maybe since we were visiting in low season, tourists were less and some of the restaurants were closed. Hence, the room rent was also on the lower side. There are plenty of restaurants and bars inside the old town. The tourism office is situated just outside the main entrance walls. Overall, the property is good, but, if you have luggage, ask for rooms in the ground floor room right next to reception.

Me sorprende que la Guesthouse Athos no tenga más comentarios, porque he encontrado mi estancia aquí absolutamente maravillosa! A pocos pasos de las plazas más llenas de turistas, Athos le permite sentirse un poco más lejos y tranquilo, especialmente agradable para un café de la mañana tranquilo en uno de los cafés de afuera. La habitación era insensible y cómoda, con vistas perfectas a todos los lados. La habitación estaba lista para mi, y el check-in me ayudó a llevar mis maletas a las escaleras (es muy fuerte como han mencionado otros). La experiencia de la ciudad es muy buena, pero no es muy fácil.

We stayed in one of their annexed rooms a couple of hundred meters from the main reception. The room was spotless, cleaned every day and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and it was a real treat to eat on the waters edge each day. We also ate in their excellent restaurant several evenings and again on the water front. What really made our stay was the excellent staff. They were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and those in the reception were very helpful, polite and professional. We took 2 of their trips which we really enjoyed and were so lucky to have Pedja as our guide and driver on both the trips. Thank you Pedja for all your kindness and showing us your beautiful country.
