The location is very quiet and calm. For those who want a break from the main cities this place is highly recommended. The hotel picked us up from the nearby station and the communication was very active and accommodating (I emailed them when we were in Kyoto station in advanced and once we reached the local station, their shuttle was already waiting for us 🥹). Biwako Valley is near so it was our only planned big activity in the area aside from walking along the quiet road and trying convenience store food and using the 24 hour laundry place nearby. The food is very healthy and you will experience traditional Japanese service (they prepared colorful Yukatas for us and we wore them for bfast and dinner in their restaurant) . The private onsen was great and you can also use the public bath in the hotel itself. I cannot list everything but our experience here was truly amazing!

Gosh, where do I even begin? This stay was frankly perfect. The view was amazing, the open-air private bath was amazing, the service was amazing, the food provided was amazing. There’s even a shuttle bus from the nearby station. I loved it. My friends loved it. The staff even ran across the whole lobby lounge from the check-in counter, and did a full dive into the souvenir store counter for us. Most memorable icecream buying experience.

The only default of this hotel is the room that is a bit small. But overall the rest is perfect. Nice view, very big onsen, free food and drinks everyday to take with a beautiful view on the lake and they also have free e-bikes that you can take to do nice trip beside the lake. The hotel is also very close to the train station, accessible by feet but they also have bus that pick you from there if you need. Definitely spend a very nice time there!

The hotel itself is really cozy and service is good. During my stay, there was not too many people and relaxing. The quality of onsen itself is really good that make my skin so smooth for days. The dinner and breakfast food are fresh, except the dessert cake is really dry which doesn’t taste like any other Japan standard cake.

Очень чистый и уютный рекан. Были семьёй, впервые посетили онсен — очень понравилось. Выдают кимоно, есть все необходимые банные принадлежности. В проживание входит ужин — это десяток разных тарелочек и мисочек, всё очень вкусно, завтрак тоже в традиционном стиле. До станции есть трансфер, но мы также прогулялись до отеля пешком от станции, чтобы посмотреть окрестности.

¡Fantástica noche de descanso con actividades pintorescas en un hotel grande y elegante! Vistas maravillosas al mar desde la habitación. Hicimos el crucero por el lago (ofrecido con la reserva de la habitación) y visitamos Enryakuji en la montaña fácilmente con un cupón de descuento del hotel. ¡Hermoso follaje otoñal! Buena relación calidad-precio con transporte gratuito y un servicio amable desde la estación de Otsu en general. No hay buenos restaurantes cerca, es mejor reservar con opciones para cenar o cenar en los restaurantes del hotel. No había aglomeraciones a principios de diciembre. Un buen descanso de la concurrida Kioto.

La experiencia general fue regular… No esperaba un hotel tan grande. ¡Marriott Group tiene estas deficiencias! Planeaba ir en coche hasta la entrada para que mi familia pudiera subir y yo pudiera cargar todo mi equipaje en el maletero, bajo la marquesina de la entrada. Por suerte, la marquesina es demasiado corta y no tiene ese diseño, así que al final todos subieron al coche y estaban todos mojados. Tuve que subir el equipaje al coche bajo la lluvia… 3) Onsen (baño público): nada que decir sobre este baño público antiguo, obsoleto, pequeño y sin mantenimiento. 4) Personal: Diría que, con el nombre de Marriott, este hotel tiene muy poco personal… Otros: Nada que decir, la verdad.

We stayed one night at Biwako Grand Hotel Kyoomi and had a generally relaxing experience. The traditional tatami room was comfortable and suitable for staying with a young child. The hotel has a classic Japanese ryokan atmosphere, and the area near Lake Biwa is very peaceful. Staff were polite and helpful, and the shuttle service was convenient. Breakfast was simple but acceptable. One suggestion is that it would be appreciated if room arrangements could better match the photos shown on the booking page, as this would help set clearer expectations. Overall, a calm stay for travelers seeking a traditional experience.

The room was comfortable, beautifully maintained, and very relaxing. The food was excellent, and every meal was carefully prepared and full of flavor. One of the highlights of our visit was the birthday cake the hotel kindly arranged for us. It was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, which made the celebration even more special and memorable. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. This was a lovely experience in every way, and we would happily return again in the future for another peaceful getaway
