Soy un viajero solitario que se quedó en la habitación con baño privado abierto. Me disfruté de mi estancia de 2 noches. Hotel se ve cansado y viejo pero todo estaba bien. IVA, tienes que usar una clave para abrir la puerta no acceso tarjeta. Pagué por mi habitación con desayuno y cena. Tengo un espacio privado para cenar en un restaurante que me gusta. Saltar a la cola y cenar en el mismo lugar para todas las comidas. La cena era grande. La distribución del desayuno también era maravillosa. Traté de hacer un masaje japonés de una hora y fue muy bueno. No hay nadie que pueda hablar inglés. Hay un transbordador gratuito para entrar y salir. ¡En general ¡Yo daré 9/10!!

This is our first time to ski Japan.  This hotel was located perfectly with great access to some super beginning facilities.  Good enough about skiing, the hotel is perfect and the staff is amazing. The food and amenities are excellent. We had a private hot spring every evening really added to the enjoyment.  My wife and I and eight year-old daughter had a great time  you so much for the great experience and all the hospitality  Perfect Stay. 100%!!!

Nos ha gustado mucho el sitio, el hecho de tener un baño privado en la habitación ayuda mucho a la relajación y a disfrutar más la experiencia tradicional. En cuanto a las instalaciones, en general todo bien, poder utilizar todos los baños del ryokan hace que sea una experiencia más placentera. La habitación tenía algo de polvo pero en general bien. En cuanto al servicio, muy bien en la cena pero cabe destacar que si les pides una recomendación les cuesta indicarte ya que está fuera de su guión. En el desayuno, des de nuestro punto de vista es algo más frío, ya lo tienen preparado en la mesa correspondiente y no te indican como lo hacen durante la cena. Así mismo, consideramos que durante la estancia el personal tampoco está mucho por los huéspedes y no te informan de todos los servicios que te pueden ofrecer. Se pueden comprar yukata en el mismo hotel por 5000 yenes aproximadamente.

Un pequeño y agradable hotel regentado por una dulce pareja de ancianos. El hotel ofrece un onsen privado gratuito que se encuentra al aire libre en un entorno precioso y que se puede reservar por 40 minutos. El hotel también tiene un onsen público en el interior, que está separado por sexos y donde se puede tomar una ducha. La habitación es de estilo japonés tradicional con tatami, futón y mesa baja. Era cálida y acogedora y había mucho espacio. Se proporcionaba una tetera y se podía preparar el té. Se proporcionan zapatillas, una yukata por persona y zuecos tradicionales japoneses para el exterior. Si te alojas aquí, tienes la opción de utilizar los 9 onsen públicos. Sin embargo, están a poca distancia del hotel. La pareja no habla inglés, pero con un traductor pudimos comunicarnos. Fue difícil encontrar un restaurante abierto en el pueblo después de las 18:00. No es ningún problema guardar el equipaje en el hotel después del check-out. Se podía llegar fácilmente a pie al Snow Monkey Park, aunque había más de 3 km. Realmente disfrutamos nuestra estancia y la recomendaríamos a otros.

📍 Hotel Keigetsu 信州昼神温泉郷 日長庵 桂月 @ Hirugami Onsen, Nagano 🇯🇵 We stayed 3D2N from 13 November 2025 at Hotel Keigetsu (日長庵 桂月), and it turned out to be one of the best choices for our Nakasendo trip. The ryokan sits in a peaceful corner of Hirugami Onsen, surrounded by nature and traditional Japanese charm. There is a designated parking area exclusively for guests, accommodating around 15-20 cars of all sizes, making it very convenient for self-drive travellers. We chose a Japanese-style room with a private bathroom, and the highlight was the beautiful wooden bathtub — perfect for a relaxing soak in complete privacy. In the mornings, the view from our room was calm and peaceful, with gentle bird chirping adding to the serene atmosphere. Our stay included breakfast and dinner, and both meals were exceptional. Each dish was beautifully prepared using seasonal ingredients, and the servers were patient and friendly, taking time to explain each course and share stories about local flavours. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced the dining experience. The ryokan is within walking distance to the Morning Market, just about 10 minutes away, making it an enjoyable little morning stroll. There is also a FamilyMart right beside the ryokan, just a short walk away — extremely convenient for drinks, snacks, or last-minute essentials during your stay. The staff also introduced several nearby activities and hiking trails, and the routes are super visitor-friendly, making this ryokan an ideal base for exploring the Nakasendo area. The onsen baths were another highlight — soothing, clean, and filled with Hirugami’s famously smooth, skin-friendly hot spring water. Perfect for unwinding every evening. Overall, Hotel Keigetsu offers excellent food, warm service, relaxing onsen, comfortable rooms, and unbeatable convenience, whether you’re here for onsen relaxation or the Nakasendo trail. Highly recommended for a peaceful, authentic, and memorable ryokan stay in Nagano. ♨️🍁🌿✨

I had a large tatami room with side sitting area and sink as well as an ante-room. I had three delicious Japanese meals at the ryokan that were served with polite elegance. The two in-house onsen baths were a joy to use after a day of skiing. The staff was knowledgeable about how to get around by the buses and suggested the best restaurants for days that I did not eat at the ryokan. Senshinkan Matsuya was situated in the center of.Shibu Onsen town next to three of the public onsen. I could not ask for a better stay!

The cottages were a little out of the way but they are perfect - toasty during winter, spacious with an ensuite bathroom per bedroom, and accessible via the frequent bus service. It’ll be even better if a microwave is provided in the cottage, and if our ski/snowboard fear can be stored in the locker room near the slopes (we arent allowed to do so and have to carry them back to our cottages everyday. We stayed at the premium room at the main building previously and would say each experience is unique, but staying at the main building would be more convenient and staying at the cottage is more special especially during winter.

The room was very large and comfortable. What made the place great was the ping pong table, mini pool table. Once you understand the onsen process it is pretty easy. Note: restaurant is by reservation only. Dinner snow crab dinner is worth the price. Open bar. Also cash only needed do the hotel tax due at arrival.

Worthy, nice food and service. I love every details they put, walking on tatami and great decoration. And I can say this chain is one of the best hotel in japan. - Even room is small but lower bed makes it more spacious. And with no view room you still got sunlight dont worry. - Location is good, walkable from the station. - Breakfast is amazing! Freshly fried Tempura is authentic, also Gyudon and others also great. I love apple juice too. - Dont forget night soba and treats after onsen. - Onsen is good too but only indoor. - The rest area beside onsen is fantastic, in the morning with the view of Japanese alps they even have name of each mountain so cute. - Tips for restaurants nearby, there are izakaya food court like gathering all izakaya in one place and yiu can choose what you like
