I had a truly wonderful stay at this retreat. The place itself is absolutely spectacular — very calming, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by breathtaking views. The deck is stunning, and it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The owners were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and looked after throughout my stay. Their hospitality genuinely stood out. The dogs were lovely and added so much warmth to the experience. Breakfast was excellent, and the variety of teas available was out of this world. As a female solo traveller, I felt completely safe, comfortable, and well cared for, which is something I value highly. The atmosphere is peaceful and nurturing — exactly what you want from a retreat. The only minor downside is that it’s a bit far from the shops (around a one-hour walk). However, this was easily managed as Uber is only a 6-minute drive, and the hosts were also kind enough to offer lifts when possible. Overall, an absolutely stunning place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay

The place was spacious, had a sofa that was so suitable for both laying down and sitting down all together as a family, loved it with the dinner table, the kitchen, the fridge and all the other cooking appliances with a gas stove, loved this. The bathroom was really clean and luxurious, did not expect the shower stall to have a curved door, haha. The master bedroom was cozy big and the children's bedroom caught me off guard with the size, two bunker beds and still even more space? Definitely amazing. Good TV and great internet, loved it how there was barely any weird fluctuations. Great for online games. Aside from the place, I rented the fun bikes for an hour, super enjoyable, had so much unexpected fun.

Excelente relación calidad-precio en comparación con otros lugares, buen espacio, excelente calefacción y excelente ducha. Está a 12-15 minutos del centro, pero hay que saber que es cuesta arriba por lo que cuesta un poco más la vuelta. Lo único que hay en la habitación es el entrepiso bajo para mi tamaño y la escalera muy empinada, lo cual no me gustó mucho, de lo contrario vale la pena subir la pequeña subida, además la vista desde allí es estupenda.

El lugar tipo hostal en el pueblo está a 10-15 minutos a pie del punto de descenso de Intercity. Llegamos temprano y no pudimos registrarnos todavía, pero pudimos guardar nuestro equipaje. Tenga en cuenta que no hay ascensor en el segundo piso, así que tiene que subir su equipaje usted mismo. ¡Sorprendentemente, la habitación tenía una manta eléctrica! Sin embargo, no hacía mucho frío cuando llegamos, así que no la necesitamos. No había refrigerador en la habitación; si quiere bebidas frías, tiene que ir a la lavandería, donde hay un refrigerador grande. Hay un pequeño restaurante al lado de la recepción; recuerdo haber visto a bastante gente charlando allí por las noches, en su mayoría chinos compartiendo consejos de viaje. El restaurante suele tener un bufé de autoservicio con café, chocolate caliente, jugo de naranja, etc. El desayuno lo preparó una joven encantadora; ¡sus panqueques de jarabe de arce estaban absolutamente deliciosos! También fue muy paciente y servicial; Incluso nos ayudó a llamar a un taxi para ir a Roys Peak cuando le preguntamos cómo, y muy amablemente nos recordó que anotáramos el número de teléfono y la dirección del hotel cuando tomáramos un taxi de regreso. (Un pequeño inciso: cuando estábamos casi en Roys Peak, la taxista fue increíblemente amable. Nos preguntó si sabíamos a qué número llamar para el viaje de regreso. Le dijimos que sí, y pacientemente nos preguntó si teníamos una tarjeta SIM local o si estábamos usando roaming. Si estábamos usando roaming, nos dijo que primero debíamos marcar el prefijo de Nueva Zelanda. ¡Era una persona maravillosa!).

Excellent location. Can walk easily down the city centre in 6-8 mins but need to walk back upwards. We used Uber a dew times (costs 10-12 NZD), tried taxi once and got charged $25! Even its quite convenient to order food via Uber eats as within 5-10 mins most restaurants are located. Overall a its a budget friendly accommodation :)

Located at a quiet corner and a little bit uphill of Queenstown, only 10 minutes walk down to the town centre; parking car is not an issue as well. The common area and the kitchen is large enough for two parties utilising the area. Certainly would stay for the next trip.

If you use Google Maps, remember to select the pedestrian path for directions. Otherwise, it may guide you to an abandoned house. The view from the dining room was nice, but we found some short blond hairs on the bed. We weren't too concerned about it, but others might be. The breakfast is quite Western—bread and jam, with milk or yogurt. It's a nice place, suitable for a short nap before takeoff. Nearby Saddle Hill is a great spot for viewing the Southern Lights if the timing is right. You could also ask John for local tips—he might know the best viewing spots. La habitación no era pequeña, pero la ventilación no era muy buena. El baño y el aseo compartidos eran incómodos, y el suelo de madera y el traqueteo de las puertas por la noche resultaban un poco inquietantes. No hay otros restaurantes cerca aparte del castillo; la cena en el hotel debe reservarse antes de las 17:00 y cuesta 95 NZ$ por persona.

Love love love the location! ❤️ 😍 💖 2-3 minutes walk to Queenstown mall which u dont have to worry as there are shops, halal restaurants and 4 Square where u can get ur last min groceries. Also nearby the skyline which one of a MUST GO attraction in Queenstown. Big rooms and suitable for families of 4. Cozy and comfortabl beds. Staff at the reception very friendly and it makes us guests feels welcome all the time!
