The property overlooks the little village and our room had water views as well. It is secluded and quiet and an easy stroll into the village- be prepared to walk off your dinner on return as it is uphill! The owners were welcoming and friendly offering recommendations as requested and local knowledge. The room was spacious and decorated and fitted to a very high standard The shower pressure was amazing and plenty of hot water. The bathroom had double basins and a bidet along with heated towel racks. There was a kitchenette that provided ample options for staying in and cooking along with a draw dishwasher. The Nespresso machine was appreciated. We loved the fact that there were comfortable lounge chairs as well as a veranda with table and chairs. The king size bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. A nice touch were the robes. There is a guest laundry available which we used and it was clean and everything provided for a nominal cost. DVDs were available there as were books for guests . We would love to stay longer next time as 2 nights was not enough. These are passionate hosts who know how to run an establishment. From our many trips to both Islands from across the ditch this establishment is up there with the best.

Return visit to this awesome lodge whilst competing the in Beach to Bay Ocean Swim Series last weekend. Outstanding as always. Friendly, professional, knowledgable, personal service from the team. Rooms are exactly what you need and the shared spaces are well catered and create an atmosphere of community. Can't wait to visit again, highly recommend. Pic is taken on the morning of the swim and the beach is literally a few minutes stroll from the lodge.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Camp ground was clean, tidy with good facilities. The tent site was big, the kids could safely navigate their way around, the beach was nice short walk away!

Best location in Waitangi as you can have a spot close to the lagoon with a view of the seabirds fishing, terns diving and coming up with fish in their beaks. The campground has two facility blocks so there is no crowds in the kitchen or waits for the showers. The showers were hot and flowing strongly which is always very important. Staff were friendly and helpful and got me the same spot after I came back from the Cape.

Der Holiday-Park ist an der Zufahrtsstraße nach Russel ganz gut gelegen. Man muss allerdings noch 5 Minuten bis zur Ortschaft fahren. Russel selbst ist eine tolle kleine Ortschaft, welche auch schöne Strände bietet. Der Holiday-Park hat einen Pool und mehrere Außensitzbereiche, die ganz nett sind. Ein Teil der Cabins hat auch Außenbestuhlung mit Tisch, sowie ein Lounge-Ei. Die Cabins wurden über den Tag unerträglich heiß. Erst am Abend war die Luft darin zu ertragen. Lüften war nur schwer möglich, da man keinen Durchzug herstellen konnte. Da half auch der Ventilator nicht viel. Die weiteren Einrichtungen wie Küche, Innen-Gemeinschaftsbereich und Bad sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und benötigen etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit. Dort sollte man nicht allzu viel erwarten. Die Grundausstattung ist aber gegeben. Da die Unterkunft auf Tankwasser-Versorgung angewiesen ist, gab es bei uns den Zwischenfall, dass wir für 2-3h kein Wasser hatten, bis wir die Inhaber informiert haben. Das Internet ist auf 500MB pro Tag pro Device limitiert, was uns etwas störte. Der Park will hier zusätzlich Geld verdienen und verkauft Datenpässe.

Llegamos el lunes 23 de enero y dejamos hoy el 29 de enero fo evitar la próxima bomba meteorológica. Disfrutamos de la estancia. Muchas habitaciones y buenas instalaciones. Desde luego vale cada penique. Descuento de los miembros de NZMCA. A solo 8 km de Paihia y 9 km de KeriKeri y a unos 12 km de KawaKawa.

A well run piece of paradise. We had a powered site right near the beach access with the second toilet block very close by which was perfect as we have our own fridge and bbq so don't need kitchen much. Did notice the main kitchen fridges didn't have much room and we were there at a quieter time so def be prepared to store your own perishables if going in busy time. General camp vibe is very happy and friendly. Great that there are different spaces for different needs. We appreciated being in the more ”adult” zone away from the playground etc. Treated ourselves to dinner at ”The Cove' just down the road one night. Highly recommended. Coastal walkway is stunning. Check the tides though as you need to cross the tidal river to access the starting point. Beach is perfect. Good waves without being dangerous. Surf-lifesaver patrolled.
