Golden Beach Resort on Koh Rong, Cambodia, exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel instantly welcome. A standout highlight of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the General Manager, Karolina. Even before our arrival, she went above and beyond to ensure that our journey to the resort was seamless. Her attentiveness, helpfulness, and wealth of knowledge about the island made our experience truly unforgettable. It's evident that Karolina's departure from the resort will be a significant loss, as her dedication to customer satisfaction is unparalleled. Her high standard of customer service will be sorely missed and it will probably be impossible to adequately replace her. In addition to Karolina's outstanding service, the resort itself offers a serene and relaxing environment. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The resort's location, nestled on the shores of Koh Rong, is perfect for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty. Overall, Golden Beach Resort is a hidden gem on Koh Rong, made even more special by the exceptional hospitality of Karolina and her team. While we are saddened by the news of her departure, we are grateful for the unforgettable memories she helped create during our stay.

El Long Beach Resort está situado en un lugar tan hermoso que nunca quieras salir. El personal es muy amable y puede ayudar a arreglar cualquier cosa para usted. Utilice Facebook para contactar por coger en lugar de correo electrónico. Wifi funciona bien cerca del restaurante, de lo contrario sólo algunas tarjetas SIM tienen señal. El desayuno podría ser mejor, pero de lo contrario el restaurante es muy bueno.

Firstly, I apologize for being not careful enough to read the hidden details about the room I booked in a rush, due to lots of other reasons related to bad logistics provided by the bus company and ferry operators. At the site, after the check-in, when I was presented with the property, I was quite shocked that the whole hut had just a simple zip line as a doorway, and at the bottom it was locked with the lock though all the other length of the “gates” had a full access to the insides. The shared WC was a total shock, too poor and too tiny and too weirdly placed right at the hut side. The location was awful too: in the middle of the construction/ demolishing site and with the dump gutter on the other side, with the full access to the major pavement where travelers either hanging around or eating. I had no willing to check the “private beach”, definitely it was common and somewhere in front of the bar lane. In a word, the conditions were pretty miserable. Not corresponding with the ecstatics feedbacks.

If you looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the Cambodian mainland, The Azure Guesthouse situated in the beautiful village of M'pai Bay on Koh Rong Samloem, a 45 minute ferry ride from Sihanoukville. The Guesthouse is wonderful, run by Jay and Dave who go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are lovely, with big, comfortable beds, air conditioning and clean, private bathrooms. The village isn't too big, so you can easily immerse yourself in the village, island life. Azure is an easy 2 minute walk to the pier and beach. Also close to other beaches and treks. There are many food options in the village too. Jay and Dave are very knowledgeable on the island and village, and are happy to help with recommendations and advice throughout your stay. In addition to the restaurants and cafes in the village, The Azure has a bar/cafe next to the Guesthouse. Also, If you need a boat or want to go snorkeling or diving, Jay can organize it for you. There are some incredible sunsets from the island. So, there is a rooftop balcony at Azure so you can relax and watch the view over the water. This was my first visit to M'pai Bay and it won't be my last. I highly recommend The Azure, you'll never regret it.

Der Pool ist wirklich der Hammer!!!! es gibt neun Sonnenliegen, aber keinen Sonnenschirm. Ansonsten liegt die Unterkunft leider nicht wirklich ganz zentral. Aber für 2-3 Dollar kommt man überall hin. Das Gebäude selber ist ein Apartment Gebäude und befindet sich leider noch im Bau. Das Zimmer ist einfach aber ausreichend. Das Bett jedoch relativ klein und die Matratze sehr hart. Dafür ist das Badezimmer natürlich neu und schön. Eine Waschmaschine und einen Kühlschrank gab es nicht. Da, wie fast überall, die Fenster nicht wirklich isoliert sind, hört man immer ein wenig Verkehr. Die Kommunikation des einchecken, da es sich um ein Apartment handelt, geht per E-Mail oder WhatsApp (Internet also erforderlich). Schnell, effektiv und nett.

il posto in generale, come un po in tutta l'isola, è abbastanza povero, di bello ha che è direttamente sulla spiaggia ( non i bungalow e le camere, ma la reception/bar ed è abbastanza centrale nella paese più vitale dell'isola kho toch per il resto le sistemazioni fanno abbastanza pena, i bungalow sono dei loculi triangolari, con il letto buttato sul pavimento, senza armadi o altro dove mettere i bagagli, senza finestre, con un bagno microscopico e pieno di insetti che entrano dalle mille fessure ( non è altro che una capanna). le camere già meglio, ma giusto per essere gentili, almeno avevano un letto decente anche se la stanza era comunque microscopica ma almeno il bagno in attimino più grande. poi ti danno a fatica 1 asciugamano e neanche la carta igenica. a mio parere, per il costo ( 30 dollari il bungalow 48 la stanza) non vale assolutamente la pena. personale gentile, ma come tutti i Cambogiani un po, capiscono la metà di quello che gli dici/chiedi.

The property is approximately a 10-minute walk from the village center. There is a fan in the room, water, coffee and tea available at the reception. The distance from the sea is approx. 50 m, shared bathrooms and toilets are approx. 20 m.
