Fue una experiencia muy buena. La posada, que data de una antigua casa, fue renovada y su diseño es muy clásico, conservando algunos objetos de las antiguas casas de Huizhou. This B&B is our most impressive stay during 13 day trip in East China. Charming decorations, comfortable bed, tasty breakfast and most importantly, their hospitality!! Jacky is the warmest host. He did a great job in serving his guests. We felt like we are his friends rather than customers. He gave so many good advises on the Huangshan walk routing, taxi booking to Chemgkan and also good place to dinner. Unfortunately, we stayed only one night here and it rained In the early evening so not much chance to explore Tunxi as we wished.

From the very beginning to the moment we checked out, everything felt thoughtful, well-organized, and genuinely welcoming. What really sets this place apart is not just the beautiful property, but the level of care and service provided throughout the entire stay.
Even before our arrival, the host proactively contacted us via WeChat to confirm details and assist with planning. Communication was extremely smooth and responsive — no matter what time of day we had questions, we always received quick and helpful replies. For a destination like Jiuhua Mountain, where logistics and routes can feel overwhelming for first-time visitors, this kind of support makes a huge difference and immediately puts you at ease.
The room itself exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, bright, and very comfortable, with a layout that worked perfectly for a family stay. Unlike many homestays that feel cramped, this room had plenty of space to relax, unpack, and truly rest. The bedding was clean and soft, and the overall atmosphere was calm and quiet, allowing us to sleep extremely well. Housekeeping standards were excellent — everything felt carefully maintained and spotlessly clean.
One of the highlights of our stay was the afternoon tea, which was freely available and not limited or rushed. Situated near Huacheng Temple, the homestay is in a quiet area that feels removed from crowds, yet it’s still very convenient for visiting key temples and attractions. Evenings were peaceful and silent, which is exactly what you want after a full day at Jiuhua Mountain. The surrounding atmosphere perfectly matches the calm and reflective nature of the destination.
What impressed us most was the overall sense of being well taken care of. This is not a place where service is performative or scripted — it feels sincere and consistent. We were a group of 8 people and had an unforgettable stay here. The hotel owner is one of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly, gave us great local recommendations, and even personally drove us to each destination!
On the day we went hiking in the mountains, he provided us with free walking sticks. He helped us with everything — arranging transfers, buying entrance tickets, and planning the route. He also allowed us to check in early and check out late, which was incredibly convenient.
I shared room 8303 with my friend. The room is designed for two people and had two separate beds, both very comfortable to sleep in. There was also an air conditioner in the room, which made our stay even more pleasant.
Another thing we’re super grateful for — the owner kindly let us do laundry. After hiking in the mountains, our clothes definitely needed it!
The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, full of natural light, and have plenty of power outlets. The showers were great, with clean water and convenient showerheads. There were all the necessary toiletries: body soap, shampoo — we recommend bringing your own conditioner if needed.
The hotel can also prepare food for guests. We really enjoyed the tomato and egg noodles — delicious and homey.
There’s also a local café nearby where we had breakfast a few times.
The hotel is located in the mountains, perfectly positioned for visiting nearby attractions, waterfalls, hiking spots, and even riding quad bikes.
A tip: bring a good quality raincoat if you’re visiting during rainy weather!

LLaraleyliGreat hotel! The prettiest, greatest hotel in the area. We had a room with a balcony view to the mountains, so calming and relaxing. If you want to rest from the hustle and bustle of the city, here’s the perfect place for you. The bathroom is very clean and hygenic, and the beds are also really comfy and fluffy.
The owner is really hospitable, welcoming and friendly, he is really familiar with the area so he recommended us a lot of different places and good restaurants. He helped us during all our stay. It is true that the hotel is a little bit far away from the nearest town, but it is really worth it because at the end, it is not far away (15 min by car) from the nearest Huangshan entrance. We would definitely go back there!!

YYida88Our family of 13 recently spent three nights at Shanyu Life and Huangshan Design hotel and the experience was delightful. The location is excellent—about a 10‑minute drive from the Huangshan park entrance—yet the hotel sits in a quiet area surrounded by mountains and tea plantations. The hotel’s free shuttle to Huangshan was extremely convenient for a group of our size. The resort offers spacious rooms with high‑quality finishes and fittings; All 7 of our rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, with comfortable bedding and bathroom amenities that made for a very relaxing stay. The property is so tastefully designed that we were content to simply linger in the common areas after breakfast, sipping tea or practicing Chinese calligraphy in the serene setting.
The highlight of our visit was the outstanding service from the staff, who were consistently caring, attentive, and proactive in anticipating our needs. They handled several ad‑hoc requests even before our arrival and continued to go above and beyond throughout our stay so that every member of our family felt well looked after.
We particularly enjoyed the welcome hot tea while hotel owner Fang Fei introduced many interesting places to visit around Huangshan. The team also arranged a half‑day excursion to Mukeng Village Bamboo Forest, where the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was filmed, and it was amazing climbing the hills through such dense bamboo forest. After long days of sightseeing and mountain climbing, it was a joy to return to the resort, where a warm and hearty dinner awaited us, making it feel like coming home each evening. Fang Fei is also a tea master, and she not only taught us a lot about Huangshan’s famous teas but also hosted a tea‑appreciation and meditation session for us, which was exactly what our family needed after hectic travels through many Chinese cities before arriving in Huangshan.
Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable, and this hotel is highly recommended to anyone planning to visit Huangshan.

Before our arrival, the hotel owner contacted us to help us find the hotel. Because it is located in the Hongcun ancient village (which is a restricted area), taxis and didi cannot access the area but the hotel owner helped us bring the big luggages upstairs and also helped us on our way back. The hotel is situated in the heart of Hongcun village,vry close to the entrance and also close to all the scenic spots. It is just mesmerizing, the hotel itself is a work of art. No matter how much we looked, there were always new things to discover. The decor was fantastic, it was representing the Hui style. A pleasant surprise was the view from our bathroom. The amazing wooden windows opened a magic view to the big hall. The view from the window in front of the bed are Hui-style houses and the mountains. Drinking coffee there and getting ready was a bliss.
The room itself was also very beautifully decorated and kept clean.
