Almost perfect holiday at the Parkroyal Penang.. ++ plus points: 1. room was spacious with fun pool amenities 2. beach view is beautiful during sunset 3. had interesting monkey visitors at our huge balcony 4. appreciative of the pleasant service in general from day houskeeping to F&B crew Unfortunately with some glaring misses 😣 - - minus points: 1. checked in room at the evening, noted floor and day bed had lotsa sand particles. Night housekeeping came to rectify so late while we are eating in room meals and told us to then wait for next day housekeeping because it is near their knock off time😧😅 2. Reception made a mistake to actually charge my credit card for $400 deposit, instead of holding the deposit 😏. Was informed during checkout to wait for 2 weeks refund. 😩 3. breakfast selection could have been better in view that it is a 5🌟hotel. New food at buffet line could have been replaced earlier, when finished.

This is my first experience of having to wait 1 hour for check-in a hotel. Check-in was supposed to be at 3pm but we arrived in Penang at 7pm, we expected the hotel room to be available so we could check-in straight away, but unfortunately our room is still not available. We are very grateful to a female receptionist (wearing a hijab) who was willing to solve this problem within 15 minutes compared to the first male receptionist who made us wait for almost 1 hour to check in. I'm sorry for throwing a tantrum at the counter because we have to wait a long time to follow, we're really tired from traveling so far. The hotel has offered 8 free breakfast sets as a sign of apology for our loss of 5 hours to check-in. Thank you again for the efforts of the reception girl. The hotel is very comfortable and the food is very good, the only mistake was the moment we checked in. I hope I won't have this kind of check-in experience again. Thank you

Very Strategic location to have many access to a lot of places by walking distances. Easy to get to anywhere as its located in the central of the Penang island, lots of good food and local hawkers can be easily access from the hotel location. have great view of the Komtar tower and the city of light, beautiful and stunning. although its a refurbished building, but it has been very well kept and maintained. Maybe the facility floor of the swimming pool and the bar, might have rooms for improvement. The swimming pool looks very old, despite the taste of infinity pool, doesnt match the 4stars hotel standard, and the bar looks like a local bar with no proper standard. We shall look into the standard of St Giles is other states or country.

Ver sgt lawo utk berangan con vista a la ciudad y vista parcial al mar A 5 minutos caminando de Komtar. 17 minutos caminando hasta kapitan keling. El resto solo toma la habitación 5. Cerca de todos los lugares. Nunca quiero quedarme en el mismo lugar dos veces. Pero cititel me dejó bastante impresionado. Espero quedarme en mi próximo viaje. Tak cari lain dah.

The room and hotel itself meet my expectations as affordable accommodation. Spacious room, with bathtub in the bathroom, tv is functional, iron and iron board are provided as well. Great stay.

The room is good, clean and tidy.  But it is not convenient to take other transportation except taxi or rent car.  Room fare will sudden up so as to cannot continue to book the other coming date.  My schedule will plan to live in this hotels on coming two more date.  But Wednesday the price will suddenly up so as we cannot book the coming date.

The hotel is old money standard. Very simple , classy and extremely clean room. We had 1610 and the view is a fantastic. Bathroom is big and very clean. The amenities given are better with most items. most hotels used the excuse of being “environment friendly” and scrimped on basic toiletries. Will definitely book again if in Penang

En la habitación que nos asignaron, uno de los aires acondicionados de la habitación no funcionaba y enviaron a los técnicos a repararlo. Solicitamos un cambio de habitación ya que todavía no se puede resolver después de aproximadamente una hora. Finalmente nos mudamos a nuestra nueva habitación después de más de 1 hora de espera. Tenía muchas ganas de alojarme en este hotel, pero las fotos reales y las del sitio web son muy diferentes. Había 2 dormitorios y solo 1 tiene baño adjunto, el otro está al lado del baño común en el comedor. Toda la zona tiene un ambiente muy minimalista. El inodoro no tiene ganchos adicionales para colgar la ropa. Así que tendrás que poner tu ropa o toalla poniendo la funda del inodoro. La mampara de la ducha ni siquiera evita que el agua salpique, por lo que el suelo siempre está mojado. No hay soporte para papel higiénico ni lugar para poner el gel de ducha, etc. en la ducha. Durante todo el día, hay este ruido que hace el compresor del aire acondicionado. Es muy irritante ya que afectó mi sueño. En general el servicio del hotel desde las atenciones es bueno ya que intentan atender los problemas pero las instalaciones y la experiencia que tuvimos. No lo recomendaré ni volveré otra vez. Totalmente decepcionado!!!

Highly recommended. Superb location,beside got few shopping mall. Clean room,comfy bed, a lot TV program. Nice breakfast buffet spread. Free lounge access and drinks. Nice lounge setting,cozy,relax,served cake and fruits too. Staff friendly. Small pool.

We arrived before 3 PM, and the staff assisted with registration, promising a WhatsApp update for room card collection. However, by 3 PM, we had to requeue due to a delay. The hotel offered a refreshing welcome drink, and our spacious sea-view room was peaceful. Housekeeping was attentive, and room service was excellent. Breakfast featured assorted pastries, a kids’ corner, and a vegetarian station, but it’s best to go early as queues form by 9 AM. The hotel also provides a shuttle to Prangin Mall and Ferringhi Walk, adding to a pleasant and convenient stay.

We went for Afgan Concert at Spice Arena Penang on 28th. The hotel is just by foot. It just literally in front of the Arena. The room is in very good shape, very clean, all amenities are function and it is very comfortable to stay in this hotel. I will seek to stay in this hotel again.The bathroom is well keep maintain, towel is thick and comfy.

Caminando a la mezquita de la gigante, la mezquita de Umar Alkhatab y los restaurantes, incluyendo Pelita. El hotel dispone de parques de estacionamiento público (pagados) en las calles alrededor del hotel.

Cozy, neat, tidy and wonderfully decorated room. Convenient location, close to an amazing shopping mall, QB, and nearby shops & eateries. The only disappointing point is we had to queue up for a long time because most staffs were out for lunch and therefore guests had to bear with them when checking out. We are wondering if this can be sorted out by letting guests drop off the door card in the check out box rather than processing it manually.

Spacious family room, Clean and comfortable bed, strategic location walking distance to Queensbay Mall, plenty of restaurant & cafe along the hotel. Need improvement in soundproofing. Overall, good stay.
