Upon arrival, check-in at reception was smooth. We were provided with our room key and directed to our accommodation, which required us to drive to the other side of the estate. However, when we reached the room, the key did not work. We walked back to reception, where we were informed that a network issue had prevented the key from being properly programmed. The receptionist, who was very helpful, offered to accompany us to the room and opened it using a master key. She assured us that a functioning key would be delivered as soon as the network was restored. Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed that it had not been cleaned. The window sill was sticky with what appeared to be beverage spills, the floor was dirty, the bathroom mats were not fresh, and most concerning, there were rat droppings on the window sill, on the floor behind the curtains, and behind the door. I contacted reception to request housekeeping and asked to speak with a manager, as the condition of the room was unacceptable. A housekeeping staff member arrived, but I requested that cleaning not proceed until the housekeeping manager assessed the situation. The manager quickly confirmed that the room had indeed not been cleaned and that there were clear signs of rodent activity. She apologised sincerely, asked us to wait while the room was cleaned, and said she would escalate the matter to the rooms division. While waiting on the terrace outside, we noticed a mouse in the bushes, which explained the droppings found inside. After the room was cleaned, the manager returned, apologised again, and informed us that a complimentary bottle of wine had been arranged for us. We told her about the mouse we had seen and expressed that we did not feel comfortable staying in that room. She went back to speak with the rooms division, and we waited in the bar. An hour later, she returned with keys to a new room and directed us there. The replacement room was clean, though the entire experience made for a rocky start to our stay. The following day, after breakfast, we returned to our room to find that the terrace doors had been removed and two maintenance staff were working. This came as an unexpected surprise, as no one had informed us that repairs would be taking place. We decided to return to the bar to allow the work to be completed. As we were celebrating a birthday that day, the housekeeping manager kindly arranged for our room to be decorated with a birthday message. From that point onward, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay thanks to the exceptional customer service at the restaurants, bars, and spa. In particular, we would like to recognise Moses, Regal, and Tebogo at Kingsley Restaurant; Sibongile at Granatas; and Mandy at the spa for their outstanding hospitality. They truly made our stay memorable. Overall, despite the challenges we experienced upon arrival, we had a lovely stay. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making my mother’s birthday special.

Reception faced a crisis when their servers broke down. The staff remained helpful and friendly throughout, despite being overwhelmed with large numbers of visitors. The hotel is well maintained and clean

The hotel is located in a nice area not far from the city. The hotel is clean and restaurant has nice food and drinks. Pool isn’t that big and workout facility is decent. Cards for rooms stopped working often which was a little annoying. Staff was helpful and a good stay overall.

I had the best time just relaxing at the hotel . The staff were very friendly and because it was my birthday they upgraded my room and gave me free breakfast . I had an amazing time and I can’t wait to go back . Room services was also really great and the views were amazing .

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport. To get to the hotel from the airport, go to the arrival hall, follow the sign to Bus Terminal and walk past the car rental offices to reach the bus terminal. The shuttle to the hotel comes every 15 minutes. My room is clean and quiet. Hot water is quite fast from the hot water tap. WiFi is easily accessible in the room and is stable. The breakfast (6-10am) is excellent with English breakfast items (egg, bacon, sausages, beans, toast), continental breakfast items (cold cuts, cheese, bread), salad, fruits, cereals, yoghurt, juices, etc. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

El Mint Hotel 84 ofrece lo básico con habitaciones limpias y cómodas y un personal de servicio amable. Mi habitación era doble estándar con una cama tamaño queen y tenía todo lo que necesitaba, incluido un escritorio, cafetera y buena presión de agua en la ducha. La cama era bastante cómoda y limpiaban la habitación rápidamente todos los días. El desayuno servido en el comedor tenía una variedad de opciones que incluían cereales, tostadas, fruta, pasteles y huevos. La comida era de calidad y frescura media, nada excepcional pero suficiente para empezar el día. El personal de servicio en la recepción y el conserje fueron agradables, serviciales y eficientes cuando tenía preguntas. Proporcionaron recomendaciones de restaurantes y atracciones de la zona. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed that provided a great night’s sleep. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the modern furnishings created a relaxing environment. The bathroom was spotless and well-equipped, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The room amenities were excellent, including reliable Wi-Fi, good lighting, and a pleasant view. The housekeeping service was efficient, and the staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to assist. Overall, my experience was very satisfying. The combination of comfort, cleanliness, and excellent service made my stay enjoyable. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay.

It's giving more 3 than 4 stars? Customer service poor. Holiday Inn was full so this was a close alternative. Had amenities but their outlets were in the kitchen far from the bed? Not very business traveller or relaxing traveller friendly. I booked a queen studio which had a kitchenette which was great for warming food etc. Decor a bit tired so could do with some love. But apart from a very dirty bottle left on the balcony it was clean. Location is excellent for Rosebank Mall even if you have to play chicken to cross the road 😆 Customer service was severely lacking. I thought Radisson Red staff were slow but at least they were always there. You can't call frontdesk . It's all QR codes and WhatsApp. Late check out would be the cost of another night R1980. Staff had a, I dunno attitude and werent very helpful. 1 security guard and 1 young lady in the lounge are the only exceptions. Outlets in the lounge and office were local only and I had to really ask to get where I could buy adapters / converters. Next time I'll go elsewhere. They're not customer focused enough for me.

Excelente estancia en el Southern Sun de Rosebank. De la atención a la recepción, a la instalación en el cuarto todo se ha ido muy bien. El personal (entretenimiento, bar, restaurante, recepción y seguridad) todos se han practicado con sonrisa. La habitación estaba muy bien equipada y limpia. El desayuno es muy variado y muy variado. El restaurante es una excelente mesa y un buen vino.Un pensamiento especial para el personal que nos abrió el portal cada día en la parte posterior del hotel, lo que nos facilita el paso al pulmón de Rosebank. La piscina, aunque fresca, siempre fue bienvenida al final del día. Aunque se estaban realizando algunos menús de trabajo en el hotel nunca nos molestó. Vamos a volver. Un gran bravo en el hotel y a todo su personal. Vamos a volver.

It was lovely. Staff were friendly and accommodating and arranged airport pickup. The breakfast was lovely as well as room service. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Jhb. 💕❤️ The rooms were clean although amenities needed to be requested suxh as robes, slippers, shower gel, shampoo etc - not really nice after a long flight. As well as water, so if this could be provided first that would make it even great.
