As we kicked off our honeymoon safari in Tanzania, Olerai Lodge set the tone for what would be an incredible trip. Coming from New York City, we have high expectations when it comes to service, cleanliness, and comfort, and Olerai Lodge delivered on all fronts. Hossana and her wonderful team welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their kindness, attentiveness, and attention to detail were second to none. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean, with large, comfortable beds that ensured a restful stay. The food was delicious, and the drinks were just as enjoyable. We didn’t have the chance to use the pool, but it was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. Olerai Lodge was the perfect place to unwind and prepare for the adventures ahead. The entire team made us feel cared for, and we were genuinely sad to leave such a warm and welcoming space.

We chose to stay at this hotel both before and after our safari adventure, with the initial and final days covered by the safari company. Deciding to extend our stay by an additional day was an easy decision, especially considering the seamless experience we had. Remarkably, we didn't have to switch rooms at any point, enjoying the convenience of adjoining rooms overlooking the inviting pool area. The front desk staff deserves commendation for their exceptional service throughout our stay, setting a high standard for hospitality. The rooms themselves surpassed our expectations, boasting a level of quality that exceeded even that of four-star accommodations in the US. Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed. However, our experience in the bar and restaurant fell short of perfection, which ultimately influenced our rating. On the first day, we encountered an unfortunate incident where our table was taken while we were at the buffet. Despite this hiccup, the culinary offerings were outstanding when ordered off the menu, with prices notably more reasonable compared to the buffet dinner. Breakfast provided a satisfying start to the day. Regrettably, the service in the restaurant was inconsistent, with several instances where we had to actively seek out staff to request the check. This inconsistency in service detracted from the overall experience, prompting us to rate the hotel lower in terms of its full-service capabilities. In summary, while our stay at this hotel was largely enjoyable, particularly thanks to the excellent front desk staff and the quality of the rooms, the inconsistent service in the restaurant and bar prevented us from giving it a higher rating.

El ambiente es hermoso, limpio e higiénico, la recepción es muy buena y late check out hasta las dos de la tarde, el desayuno no es muy rico, pero se puede comer. El azul de Tanzan se vende en el vestíbulo, pero no hay muchas variedades. Lo más importante es que cuando el hotel sale y gira a la izquierda junto a la pared, hay un restaurante chino. Se tarda menos de cinco minutos en caminar. El propietario es un shanghainés. La comida es barata y deliciosa. El dueño también hace proyectos turísticos y es muy agradable.

Came here because I didn't want to stay at hotel in moshi we were put in on Kila climb. Overall it's an above average hotel... clean, staff is nice, showers and AC work well. My only complaint is the room, spa, food and drinks there are more expensive than what you would find in a US city and for me would not have me returning.

Desde el momento en que te recogen en el aeropuerto se vive la calidez, la amabilidad y el servicio Elewana. Josefat nos acompañó por 4 días cuidando cada detalle para que estuviéramos disfrutando de los safaris con comodidad, información precisa, comida deliciosa y familiaridad. El staff maravilloso, Mr Clay siempre dispuesto a sugerir y organizar cada detalle del día, Anthony nos atendió con total calidez y excelencia en cada comida tanto en el hotel como en cada comida fuera del hotel. Las habitaciones amplias, cómodas, cuidando cada detalle y necesidad y con vistas maravillosas a los elefantes, búfalos, cebras. La visita a la tribu Masái, el safari caminando y el atardecer en la montaña son imperdibles!! Una experiencia insuperable! Totalmente recomendada.

Our group had a fabulous 3 night stay at the Sanna hotel before flying home after a safari. The rooms are very spacious, the beds are comfortable and the showers have great water pressure. The a la carte breakfast is included in the price and other meals and alcohol are very reasonably priced. The view from the roof top deck is not to be missed. But what really sets the hotel apart is the staff. They go out of their way to make your stay special. The owner, Prince, is passionate about making you feel cared for. When he heard that we wanted to go to the Massai market for souvenirs, he drove us himself in his car, stayed with us as we shopped and then negotiated prices for us. If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Arusha, I highly recommend the Sanna Boutique Hotel

We stayed at this hotel for two nights—one before our safari and one after—and it was a great experience both times. The hotel is located a bit outside of town, which brings a sense of calm and fresh air that we really appreciated. The staff were wonderful—very friendly and attentive. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, even including toothbrushes and toothpaste. There was also a TV where you could log in to your own Netflix account, which was a nice touch. The bar had good beer and a selection of South African wines, and the restaurant offered a menu with a variety of options, from hearty meat dishes to delicious pizzas. Overall, it was a lovely place to relax before and after our safari, and it was incredibly affordable. We would definitely recommend it.

We spent our first night here, after traveling over 32 hours to get to Tanzania. Upon arrival at 10am, they were able to provide us with our rooms to allow us to clean up and relax. Hugely beneficial for us all. The facility has a good variety and great food in the restaurant. While eating, our son saw a monkey during lunch and we had dinner with a very large praying mantis. The breakfast buffet with made or order omelets was a good way to start our day. The staff were very helpful with our bags, in the restaurant as well as registration.
