Overall, the stay itself was comfortable, and the room met expectations. The hotel's aesthetic is elegant and beautiful, and its location is convenient, surrounded by chinese restaurants within easy walking distance. The breakfast buffet was also good and enjoyable. However, the experience was unfortunately dampened by issues at the front desk, hygiene standards in the common areas, and soundproofing. We arrived around 10am and requested an early check-in, fully understanding that the standard check-in time is 2pm and that any earlier arrangement is subject to room availability and discretion. However, we were told by staff that early check-in would only be possible with an additional charge of RM160. This created an uncomfortable impression where it felt less like a matter of room availability and more like withholding an available room in order to impose extra charges. The tone suggests monetising convenience which we weren't particularly happy about. After checked-in around 5pm. we noticed dirty plates on the floor left near the lift area. What was more concerning was that these plates were still there in the same spot the next morning when we checked out. This raised questions about cleanliness and hygiene, especially in shared spaces. In addition, the soundproofing could be improved. Noise from children crying near the lift was clearly audible, and due to the hotel's proximity to the airport, airplane noise could also be heard. This may be a concern for light sleepers or guests seeking a quieter stay. While the room and overall stay were generally good, these experiences affected our impression.

En general, fue una buena estancia. El hotel está en una ubicación perfecta y es muy acogedor y tranquilo. El personal de recepción fue amigable y útil. Me alojaba en una agradable habitación con piscina y vistas al mar. Faiz Haslan también compartió alguna información sobre los lugares que visitaba, que fue muy útil. El desayuno era muy agradable y había una buena variedad de alimentos. Sería bueno disponer de WiFi en la habitación y no sólo en las zonas públicas.

¡Este hotel es el mejor hotel en el que me alojo en Kuching hasta ahora! El personal es realmente amable y agradable. Siempre tienen una sonrisa en la cara, incluso si nos registramos en el hotel a las 11 p.m. Lo que más me gusta de este hotel es el desayuno buffet! ¿Dónde encontrar un hotel que sirva laksa sarawak y mee kolok como buffet? Aquí lo sirven todo!!! Y la vista también es llamativa ya que tenemos la habitación con vista al mar :) pero las desventajas son que el inodoro solo tiene bidet y es bastante lento y la piscina está en el ala puteri, por lo que tienes que caminar un poco. Aparte de eso, ¡todo es increíble y asequible en este hotel!❤️❤️❤️

It was a good check-in experience last night being upgraded to Executive which we greatly appreciated it for a while till we stayed in…. which became a great disappointment…. 1) bedsheet and pillow smelled as if not washed and pillows were old!! 2) run down shower utilities with no repair on shelving and especially the shower head could not fit in the holder for a proper shower and obvious uncleanliness in the shower cubicle with glass door could not shut properly…. 3) broken door lock

El hotel está en el centro de la ciudad de Sibu, por lo tanto muy conveniente para cazar comida y algunas tiendas cerca. El mercado nocturno está a menos de 10 minutos a pie. El parque de coches de base está disponible. Se considera el segundo mejor hotel en la ciudad aunque el diseño es obsoleto. Las habitaciones son agradables y confortables y limpias. El personal es amable y amable. El desayuno es aceptable y el entorno es bueno. El único lado inferior de este hotel es la seguridad donde no hay control de acceso en el ascensor (acceso a la tarjeta clave para el piso individual) y tampoco hay guardia de seguridad en el paseo principal que conecta el Hotel al complejo de compras.

La ubicación es muy buena porque la tienda de anuncios es así que quiero comer o comprar cosas es todavía feliz, sólo si quiero ir al frente del agua, Sólo se tarda 25 minutos, en frente. The most noteworthy feature of this hotel is the incredibly spacious rooms. After researching all the available options in Bintulu, I can confidently say that Goldenbay Hotel offers the best value for money. I would certainly choose to stay here again on my next visit to the area. The amenities were another high point of the trip. It was a lucky coincidence that a comb was provided, as I had forgotten to pack one. Furthermore, I was impressed by the quality of the hair and body shampoos. It is rare for me to enjoy hotel-provided toiletries, but these left me feeling truly clean and lathered up well. To top it off, the rooftop offers a gorgeous view, especially during sunset. However, there were a few drawbacks during my stay. I booked two rooms; while my room was fine, the second room had significant lighting issues. Although the reception sent a technician to help, they only managed to fix one light. Even after the repair, that room remained much dimmer than mine. Additionally, the bidet in my own bathroom was leaking. It felt a bit ironic to see multiple signs encouraging guests to save water and use the bidet instead of paper when the fixture itself wasn't working properly. Lastly, the breakfast was a bit of a letdown. The selection was quite limited, and the taste was only average. If I return to this hotel in the future, I would likely book a room-only rate and find breakfast elsewhere.
