The hotel room is nice and clean. We requested for connecting room and high floor, and we got what we requested. However the breakfast was really bad. The lontong rice is cold, the varieties were very limited, not so appealing. The breads and cakes also limited. We are group of 4 but assigned us the square table which is very packed, and they need to clear the plates once we finished our meal. The breakfast Cannot compare to Hotel Aston and residence in Batam. No razor was provided but there’s room slippers.

Nuestra estancia fue, en general, una experiencia fantástica. La habitación que nos dieron estaba limpia, era espaciosa y tenía una vista increíble; disfrutamos muchísimo de nuestra estancia.
Sin embargo, no nos avisaron con antelación del cambio de habitación, aunque la nueva resultó estar bien. También sería útil que nos proporcionaran una ubicación más precisa, ya que la dirección que nos dieron no era la exacta y tuvimos que caminar entre 5 y 8 minutos para llegar al apartamento.
A pesar de estos pequeños inconvenientes, lo pasamos de maravilla y apreciamos enormemente la hermosa vista y la comodidad de nuestra estancia.

My second stay in the hotel but was disappointed by the lack of cleanliness and sanitary standards. The toilet had a bad smell which spread all across the home. Flies were roaming about the place. Een though I booked a premier suite but there was no washing machine included. Compared to the first time stay which was more pleasant, this was much under average.

We had a great stay at this hotel. We checked in late due to work-related commitments, and upon arrival, the front desk informed us that we had been upgraded to a suite since the hotel was fully booked. It was a pleasant surprise and greatly appreciated.
The amenities were excellent, and the overall experience was very comfortable. The only issue we encountered was with our key card, which was not being recognized by the door. It was replaced twice, although we're not sure what caused the problem. Despite this, the staff handled the situation promptly and professionally, ensuring that the issue was resolved as quickly as possible.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would gladly return in the future.

Decided to book last minute - initially cant book for family of 2A2C.
WhatsApp them, replies was….sluggish.
Finally manage to book and the room was…not like the initial ones. Previous booking it was really great. Room size room cleanliness.
The room we got was small but there’s multiple hairs on the carpet. Especially with kids, that was just a no no.
Call them via the phone provided, was put on hold and the line got cut off 🙂
Tried calling again, took quite a while before finally got connected.
Upgrade the room for RM80.
Whatever that was book on trip wasn’t as per advertised.
Second, it was drizzling. So we went downstairs to take a look at the swimming area. There’s no towels. Call the front desk ask if the swimming pool is open, they mention “I think it’s open”
Breakfast was subpar.

Su ubicación es inmejorable, justo enfrente del centro comercial City Square y del puesto de control, lo que facilita mucho el acceso. Además, está cerca de la zona de cafeterías, restaurantes para desayunar y tiendas de segunda mano. A tan solo 700 metros, un paseo muy agradable. La zona está muy bien iluminada y suele haber bastante gente, así que es segura por la noche. El hotel se ofreció a guardar nuestras maletas incluso después de nuestra salida, lo cual fue de gran ayuda. La habitación estaba muy limpia y los artículos de aseo estaban repuestos.

Este lugar superó todas nuestras expectativas y somos viajeros ávidos. Todo comenzó con el más cálido saludo cuando entramos por las puertas y la oferta de galletas recién calientes en el check-in, la velocidad fue excelente, las tripulaciones fueron amables y siempre listas para ayudar. La habitación es básica pero tiene todo lo que necesitas, canales de televisión en abundancia, botellas de agua listas, excelente ducha y comodidades, etc. Si pudiera elegir algo, serían los pequeños ruidos de las tuberías por la noche, el aire acondicionado que podría haber estado bloqueado. mejor, pero en serio no tan malo. La cama es cómoda, la habitación está limpia y el espacio es suficiente. Muy cerca de lugares, fácil de conseguir coches. ¡Definitivamente regresaré!

Location is good — very easy to grab around going KSL, mid valley. Room is Very spacious with large window of 2m. Shower pressure is good at 19th floor; but the bath tub leak(see picture ). Our bath towels look dirty and feel rough. Actually the bath mat looks cleaner and whiter than the bath towels.
Breakfast spread is good but taste so so.
Overall will recommend if you are not fussy. Most staffs are friendly.

— Our First Negative Review Across Travel Platforms
Nest Home is a big operator, this unit is THE most expensive unit in the condo operated by Nest Home. We paid more than RM2,000 for 2 nights for 2 adults + 2 children. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and, in fact, unhealthy. I am taking the time to write this review to caution future guests who may assume that choosing the most expensive unit means choosing the safest or best option. In our case, that assumption proved wrong.
Good points:
- The location is great, especially for guests who drive. There are plenty of parking spaces, and the condominium has six lifts, which are generally fast and convenient.
- Nest Home’s service response during operating hours, up to midnight, was professional and generally prompt. The check-in process was also convenient and smooth.
- Their guidance and house rules were clear and detailed, and the cafés recommended by them were actually great.
- The listing photos are generally accurate. What you see in the photos is what you get. There is a working mini cinema (although not one-touch and need to try luck for turning on the TV box), and the private cinema feel is there, especially if you already have your own subscribed content and can tolerate the strong formaldehyde smell.
- The castle and slide were fun, and the children enjoyed them, which was a big relief for us. However, I personally have doubts as to whether the playground area is thoroughly cleaned.
- The bedding looked fresh and had a hotel-like feel.
Bad points — which made our 2-night stay a nightmare:
- As shown in the screenshots/photos, the issues were serious and largely self-explanatory.
- The unit may have been recently upgraded or renovated. As a result, the wooden stage/base in the cinema area had a very strong formaldehyde chemical smell. It caused my children and me to cough and tear up. Even after the stay, I am still coughing occasionally.
- There are 2 bedrooms. The unit is supposedly suitable for 4 adults + 2 children, but the bunk bed had a strong formaldehyde smell kept coming out from the bunk bed, and concentrating in the guest bedroom. So 1 out 2 bedrooms was not liveable for our family.
- As shown in the photo, after paying more than RM2,000, 4 of us had to squeeze into 1 bed because the unbearable condition of the guest bedroom. And even this only bedroom we could sleep in had a strong formaldehyde smell coming from the wardrobe, so we tried our best not to use it.
- After we raised the issue to Nest Home, their response was prompt and their action was quick. However, the solution provided, such as fogging, did not effectively address the root cause. I am also not sure whether fogging is even an appropriate solution for a formaldehyde-like smell, or whether it is more suitable for insects. In any event, there was no effective solution during our stay.
- The booking page photos are exactly what you get and please have a second look into the details, which we didn't (yes, you don't even have soap or handwash at basin, Yes, you don't have handtower (there are bath towers), despite the price, forget about comparing amenities to a basic 3-star hotel. You will have to compromise here and there. These small details make a real difference to the overall stay.
- Looking back at past reviews, the cleanliness level is acceptable, but guests should not expect too much. For example, some plastic parts of the bathroom glass doors were yellowish and did not look very clean.
Other than basic sorry words, we DO NOT feel real apologies or sincerity from Nest Home. They keep saying High price because of holiday, and no other guests have these feedback. I suggest they stay in the unit themselves and face the reality. We will stay away from all Nest Home managed properties.
For families with young children, or guests who are sensitive to formaldehyde smells, I would strongly suggest reconsidering before booking this unit.

JJust a casual travelerI was there for 3 nights, booking 2 rooms with queen size bed.
It was a less than satisfactory experience. I specifically requested for rooms away from elevators but they gave me 2 rooms that are right next to their employee elevator. So it means, the elevator is in between of the 2 rooms that I booked for my parents and I. No doubt, the employee elevator meant less activity but it's still next to the elevator where ppl could easily come up and down.
Secondly, we were unable to get the key card to open the door to the corner room that is for my parents. Took 1 trip down to concierge to inform them about the problem. They programmed the key card again and problem still exists. Only after I told them to relocate my parents to a different floor that they mentioned that the battery in the scanner of the door ran out so they have to get technician to change them. So, that left a bad impression from the getgo.
Thirdly, once we got on that floor, it smelled bad. I had to get housekeeping to spray air-freshener to get rid of the smell. I believe it from the drainage, where if water wasn't used or flushed down, it can start to smell. So my question was, how long was the room toilets not cleaned or flushed? If the rooms were occupied, surely it shouldn't smell.
Fourth, the pool was not what is expected of a hotel pool. Even a boutique hotel pool look better than that. But I don't care too much about pools as I am looking for good place to rest after spending a lot of time sightseeing when I'm traveling.
Fifth, noise insulation wasn't good. I could hear the guest in the next room snoring from my room. Let alone if the guest spoke loudly, I could hear.
The staff were polite and kind for the most part. One or 2 staff may not know certain things but they are probably new to the job and are on training. Not a big matter.
It is situated in a good location. It is 20-25 mins away from Johor city square. It is in a nice suburban neighbourhood, but within a commercial round area with a park in the middle. There is even a big Aeon Mall right opposite the hotel. Traffic isn't bad going into that area.
If you're looking to spend a lot of time in the room during your travel, this is not the one for you. If you want a comfortable room to rest for the night, this is good enough.

MMcainI had a really pleasant and comfortable stay at Ramada Hotel Johor Bahru, especially in the East Wing room. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a cozy and relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after a long day. Everything was neatly arranged, and the bed was very comfortable, giving me a good night’s rest throughout my stay.
What I appreciated the most was the overall cleanliness and attention to detail in the room. The facilities were in good condition, and everything felt well taken care of. The hotel environment itself was calm and welcoming, which added to the whole experience.
The staff were also friendly, polite, and helpful whenever needed, making the stay even more enjoyable. Service was smooth from check-in to check-out, which I really value when staying at a hotel.
Overall, I would say Ramada Hotel Johor Bahru is a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in Johor Bahru. The East Wing room in particular is definitely worth it. I would happily come back again and recommend it to others.

UUsuario invitadoAs a retired couple, we thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Four Points by Sheraton for a short 3 days getaway. It was surrounded by shop houses and 10mins walk to SKS mall (2 storey tall only). The room was spacious and the service crew was exceptionally helpful. We appreciated the hotel accommodating our request for a room near the lift, though the trade-off was a less-than-ideal view facing the hotel rooftop.
The breakfast selection was moderate, which was expected for the off-peak season. We particularly enjoyed our stroll at Desaru Beach; the hotel's free shuttle service is very convenient with three daily timings (9am, 12pm, and 5pm - for single trip only, however you may opt to set off at 9am and take the next shuttle bus at 12pm or 5pm back to hotel). We opted for the 5pm shuttle to catch the sunset, which was beautiful. The return journey via Grab was only 9 Ringgit, which we found very affordable. A great spot for a relaxing getaway. The best deal we found was having fresh Black Thorn durian and a cold, fresh coconut at a very reasonable price nearby.

There were some cons though not a deal breaker for me:
Only 1 mirror in bathroom which was very dim
Smelly sewage smell coming from an open drain behind the washing machine. To be honest there were some bad days
Not enough floor mats (was provided 2, would prefer just 1 more so that we have 1 for kitchen, 1 for bathroom and 1 for access to stairs at the door
Although on the whole it was relatively clean, I did find some hair on the dining table and under the plates
Bed on the upper level was uncomfortable and we had bad back aches from it.
