«For anyone travelling along the Tateyama Alpine route, I would highly recommed a stay on the mountain so you can enjoy the scenery without rushing. We love Ryokan (Traditional Japanese Inn) because they always offer delicious course meals (dinner & breakfast) and a public bath. We even enjoyed a free flow of local sake and liquor at dinner! The Midagahara Hotel even offer hiking guides, boots and stargazing guides after dinner. It was a shame that we did not take the hiking trail due to the weather condition (foggy and low visibility), but the stargazing part did not disappoint - we were able to see a sky full of stars by our bare eyes. If we could withstand the cold we could have seen the Milky Way. The hotel shop also offers a wide range of local specialties. We had a nice sleep in our Japanese style room and woke up to a sea of clouds. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the Tateyama Alpine route.»

«Came here to relax with the natural hot spring that Toyama is famous for. The waters here are dark brown like soya sauce. The public bath has several baths including one that is outdoor. There are ample lockers, dressing tables and shower berths. The laundry room is inside the public bath area. They are separate machines from the dryer. While the washing machines are free, it costs money to use the dryer. The shower cubicle in the hotel room has no shower rail to hang laundry to dry. The double bed room has a private cypress wood bath tub. It felt good to soak in onsen water in the morning before breakfast. It’s deep enough for someone tall to sit in. A short walk away is the tram stop. A free tram ride coupon can be obtained from the front desk for international tourists.»

«Location is great! Near shopping centres and train station. Drive to Kanazawa and Tateyama is easy too. Car park needs to be booked in advance (need to pay, ¥1000 a night if I don't recall wrongly). Cleanliness is great. Aisle abit narrow for luggage to open. Smoking room in the hotel itself, easy for smokers. Nice tasting Kurobe water provided at the room level. Great touch there! Enjoyed our stay, thank you!»

«金太郎在新幹線宇奈月温泉站旁邊的富山電鐵停車場有接站，注意不在新幹線停車酒店接送這邊，時間下午二點三點四點，車程十幾分鍾，我打車到的3600日元，到早了，工作人員很熱情説房間做完最後檢查就可以入住，下午二點不到就入住了，我看有工作人員正在別的房間仔細地做檢查，酒店位於鄉下，周邊是農田和村舍，基本沒有景觀，無景點無商業，房間全部翻新過了，乾淨整潔，冰箱裏有雞蛋布丁，温泉有兩個面積都很大，一個對外開放人很多，另一個𤩹畫温泉衹接待住客，很好。酒店的餐太棒了，晚餐餐廳剛裝修好，太優秀了，大加分，不是常見的加糖的甜口，懷石料理是清新淡雅的口味，食材又好，太驚喜了，早餐自助有豐富的鄉土美食，也很好，有會中文的工作人員，第二天10:30還有周邊旅遊，去農場和周邊值得一看的地方中午自費吃午餐，13:30回到酒店，我時間來不及沒參加遺憾。»

«Nos alojamos una noche antes de la ruta alpina. El baño era pequeño pero suficiente. La habitación tenía un tamaño bastante decente, pero solo llevamos mochilas en lugar de equipaje, así que no puedo opinar con seguridad. Cerca de la estación de tren y una base fácil para la ruta alpina. Tuvimos que esperar muchísimo tiempo para el ascensor debido a la congestión, el personal finalmente ayudó con el ascensor del personal.»
