Very good deal for Ski in ski out!! Room in building 4 is smaller than expected but no complaints with such discount. Restaurants inside are nice, but heading out to the village once a while is good too. The walk to village is like 10 mins and very do-able!

This is our 3rd week of 4 weeks exploring Japan and so far Yuzawa Grand is the best Ryokan Onsen experience we have had. We could have spent several days there it was sublime. We arrived in the morning and the staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. We had been told by the tourist centre at the train station that the gondola wasn’t operational for 3 days; however the Yuzawa Receptionist assured us that it was operating and showed us that they were even able to sell us tickets at a discount. She gave us a map and bus timetable, showing us where everything was. They stored our backpacks for us and off we went exploring and had a marvellous time. We soaked our feet in the foot baths while having a treat before catching the bus to the mountains. We came back to our gorgeous room which had a coffee pod machine in it. Was so nice having a coffee in the morning looking out the window. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful Onsens before dinner. The buffet at both dinner and breakfast was incredible, everything so beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel. The staff are fantastic and the ambiance very peaceful.

El hotel en sí es muy bonito. Sin embargo, la ubicación es muy remota y es inconveniente ir a cualquier parte. Si no conduce, solo puede llamar a un taxi. Es inconveniente traer niños. Reservé comidas pero todas eran cajas bento, perdón por el precio. No se recomienda elegir este lugar si estás esquiando, no es conveniente ir a ningún lado.

I recently stayed at Hotel Okura Niigata, and my experience was delightful. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and attentive staff. The hotel is located in a prime area, with easy access to local attractions, and offers a beautiful view of the Shinano River, which adds a touch of tranquility to the stay. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was cozy, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The amenities were top-notch, and the bathroom was well-equipped with everything I needed. I also appreciated the traditional touches in the room, giving it a refined Japanese atmosphere.

La habitación era limpia y espaciosa con una cama de futon confortable. Si no reservas su especial cena/desayuno, puedes hacerlo con 2 días de orden avanzado sobre el escritorio delantero. Definitivamente quedarse aquí otra vez si alguna vez regresa en la zona 🫶🏼

El hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad, cerca de la estación de Echigo Yuzawa, y no tiene autobús de transporte al esquí (GALA), que es un poco decepcionante, ya que hemos probado otro hotel que ofrece un servicio de recogida/desahubamiento gratuito. La comida era normal, pero no me parecía muy bien. El timbre de las mujeres en el exterior era meh; ni siquiera estaba caliente y sed en ella. La recepción sólo tenía un interno, y mientras que era útil y agradable (gracias), no estaba muy familiarizado con la información y los procedimientos del hotel. Quizás sería una buena idea asignar a un miembro del personal de alto nivel que trabaje junto con él y proporcionar formación en OTJ, en lugar de depender exclusivamente de los internos.

Very bad experience, my husband placed his glasses into the ski-googles packing box, then we go out skiing at the morning, when we back after dinner and hot spring at night. we found the packing box is lost in the room. But we surely haven’t brought it out. We asked the staff, the staff help to ask the cleaners, but they just said have seen it. So we lost the glasses mysteriously. And we haven’t found it at last.  My husband love this glasses very much and it lost unexpected in the room.

A nice resort with sea great view. Remarkable the big garden with the paths to the sea shore. Also the onsen is very nice. The room was spacious and equipped with beds (not futon). As entertainment they organize free trips in the evening to the ruins of a plant from the gold rush times, where they display a beautiful illumination. Also some ladies perform local traditional dances in the hotel lobby, as well as a Saxophone player gave a half hour performance. However, after the performances were finished, the bar became deserted and no further service available. All in all a comfortable stay.

Hotel room was good and massive,facilities are abundant as well. The onsen is super spacious and it's thru the night. Food selection are quite a few but do try to get to Eki for more selections... Just take note of the last shuttle bus back to hotel. In all the stay was good, just need to take note that this hotel is only allow SKI in / SKI out... But NOT SNOWBOARDING.... That you have to take shuttle bus to other resort location thru its skiing shuttle bus services...

La ubicación estaba muy lejos de la estación JR. El barrio comercial estaba a unos 15-20mins a pie del hotel. Sin embargo, hay una parada de autobús cercana con es muy conveniente si quieres tomar el autobús. El hotel dispone de una amplia y confortable habitación con vistas al puerto.
