Excellent stay in Sendai We were extremely happy with our stay at Keihan Hotel Sendai. Everything was excellent, For breakfast , there was a great choice of food, a lot of thought had gone into the selection and presentation. A great way to start the day. We were also very grateful that the hotel allowed us to leave an extra bag with them while we went on a long cycling trip around Tohoku. It made our journey so much easier, and being able to collect our bag when we returned to Sendai was incredibly convenient. Overall, a very comfortable and well-run hotel with genuinely helpful staff. We would happily stay at Keihan Hotel Sendai again and highly recommend it.

Very good location, hotel just next to JR station entry and easy to travel around the City. Coffee shop and convenience stores are right nearby, Sendai asaichi market is just a few minute walk away. I would stay here again on my next visit to Sendai.

Reception at 5 pm was efficient and I didn’t have to wait. Street level provides access to two lifts that take you to the second floor reception area. Wifi worked well and the air conditioning was good especially in the cold weather. Rooms are not huge but adequate size. I booked a larger room of which there are a few. House keeping was also good, though guests need to request daily services by placing a card on the room door otherwise daily service is not provided. The two lifts can be slow especially during busy times such as morning checking out. The location is good being about 15 minutes walk from the main Shinkansen station. Being in a built up area there aren’t any views of parks etc. The hotel is five minutes walk to the covered main shopping mall-street which are common in Japan. There are major shopping malls in the central train station area. There are also many nearby restaurants that should suit most people’s budget and type of food. Beef tongue is a specialty in Sendai and many restaurants offer it at various prices. Buses and subway stations are nearby and provide access to various parts of the city. There are several attractions within 30 minutes of the hotel such as temples and museums. Overall a pleasant stay and happy to visit again.

A very comfortable stay. The hotel is close to Sendai Station and there are several carparks nearby. It was also very convenient to have a FamilyMart next to the lobby on the ground floor. The laundry area is quite small and would have been nicer if there were more machines available. The dryer was unfortunately not very efficient. Service was great and the hotel was very clean. Rooms were of a good size. Would return.

The room was really quite small, and it was quite difficult to open two luggages. Not much space to hang clothes. Room is generally clean, except for certain areas which are not commonly used e.g. some walls. The coin laundry is quite good, but could be abit pricey. Quite easy to store luggage at the hotel before/after checking in.

Our 8-day stay at Hotel Metropolitan Sendai East was exceptional from start to finish. We booked a Superior Double room, and it felt surprisingly spacious and comfortable—especially for an extended stay. If I had to sum up this hotel in one word, it would be convenience. Its location directly within Sendai Station makes getting around effortless. Trains, buses, and a wide variety of dining options are all just steps away, which made exploring the area incredibly easy. The breakfast selection was generous and satisfying, offering plenty of options to start the day well. What truly stood out, however, was the customer service—consistently attentive, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay. We would absolutely choose to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sendai.

I really enjoyed my stay here.It is conveniently located nearl Sendai Station.The public bath was perfect for relaxation and the breakfast was tasty and the staff were very friendly and helpful. As a solo traveler, I felt safe, comfortable and had a wonderful stayed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to solo travelers.

Great property and walking distance to a 711 and the train station. The onsen was small but comfortable with a cold plunge and a sauna. The complimentary noodles and snacks are a nice touch too!
