PERECT location, literally a tunnel from the metro station to the hotel (best you ask the hotel which exit it is so you can avoid going up the ground floor). It was such a treat, like it's your secret tunnel. Love that it has a gym, and the free sake and Photo Booth was fun! V clean room, better you pay a bit more for the slightly bigger double room.

The hotel is conveniently located near the subway station, making it easily accessible. It features a modern yet traditional design, with rooms that have tatami-style flooring, futon mattresses, and a contemporary bathroom. The staff are welcoming and professional, ensuring a pleasant stay. Guests can also enjoy the on-site hot spring facilities, which are open to guests. This is my second time here. This time we booked a triple room. Room is huge. It’s so spacious we can lay down 4 big luggages on the floor. We have the corner room for 3 with 3 single beds, the bathroom and toilet are separate. Electric bidet is a standard . There are 2 big lavatories. Toiletries are complete, with make up remover, moisturizer, etc. Breakfast food is extravagant! They serve wagyu beef A-4, freshly cooked. We love everything in the buffet spread. Mentaiko, the good quality fermented butter, the bread, fresh vegetables, beef curry, yogurt, ramen. Location is good, few minutes walk to tenjin and canal city. Hakata station is a bit farther but also walkable. Subway station and supermarket is a few meters away. We bought some juicy peaches and cheese in the supermarket.

Had a pleasant stay. Everything was perfect from concierge handling my car to be auto parked in hotel to greetings and responding to our needs. The bed was comfort and we were most glad to be given a free upgrade to a higher floor. Thank you so much.

Buen spa onsen , agradable habitación cómoda , estupendo vista al salón de fukuoka. Podemos incluso ver aviones aterrizando y saliendo . Varias opciones de café, té y bebidas no alcohólicas en un salón muy hermoso decorado . La ubicación es de aproximadamente 20 minutos a pie de la estación de tren . El desayuno es una buena y agradable variedad de alimentos . Buen precio y un lugar agradable

The hotel was in a good location with lots of really great small restaurants around. Do book the restaurants in advance. The hotel was very clean and provided great service. They helped to call up taxis and other services when we asked. Would definitely stay there again.

El hotel de la ciudad está muy bien concebido, muy nuevo y muy bien diseñado, y las habitaciones son grandes en el estándar japonés, en el que me refiero a que puede abrir fácilmente 2 grandes cajas de suites y maniobrar en torno a la habitación con facilidad. El hotel ofrece varias posibilidades de desayuno, va al bufete, es mejor. El centro de este hotel es el arrecife, es muy moderno y anima a todos los visitantes a probarlo, hay también un área de descanso fuera del arrecife donde se ofrecen café y colchones de hielo.

Stayed on the 27th floor. Every 3-5 minutes, there is a 10-15 seconds of strange noise. reported to the hotel, they blame the lift for the noises. Unfortunately, the very disturbing noise appeared throughout our stay including very late at night.

Clean and tidy even this is an old style hotel. Grand design with good service provided and near harbour. It is very convenient to 唐戶 market. Wonderful hotel with reasonable charges.

the hotel is closing to the JR Station, it is just walking within 7 minutes from the station, it is very convenience for the travelers. Moreover, the front desk stuff is very nice and cheerful, and can response to the customer's queries promptly. The check in and check out process is very smooth and quick. When inside the room, the facilities is fine and clean, have a big working desk and enough light for the traveler when working is required with their computer. The Wi-Fi network is okay. Furthermore, the breakfast is fine and have lot of varieties for the guest to choose. the restaurant staff's service is nice. Also, there are lot of different restaurants which located around the hotel. Highly recommend to come back again in the next time.

A nice hotel with rustic charm. Bathroom very nice, however the tap may be a little slow due to age. The garden is beautiful and the staff very helpful. It should be noted that the hotel parking should not be used, as much cheeper parking is also available close to the hotel, with the parking rules of the hotel parking being expensive, whilst if you take your car out of the bay you have to pay again. Also as of 2023 they have some pretty amazing Quiche, 4.5*

Si no fuera por ver WTT, no había venido a pensar que el hotel estaba a 8 minutos de la estación de gimnasio. ¡Quién sabe que es muy difícil encontrar un coche, no hay nada que comer cerca, está siendo reparado mientras está en el estadía, el cuarto está muy mal aislado!

El hotel es el mejor lugar para visitar el castillo de Kokura. Era barato y la comida era buena Buen valor para el dinero !!! Recomendado para aquellos que vienen a ver el castillo Kokura

I originally booked this hotel by mistake but was pleasantly surprised by some aspects of my stay. Tthe location was quite far from Fukuoka, where I had intended to stay for a concert. I arrived at the hotel around 11:30 AM–12 PM after an early morning flight, unaware that check-in wasn’t until 3 PM. When I approached the front desk, the receptionist—a young girl—gave me a strange look before informing me of the check-in time. The lack of warmth in her greeting was disappointing, especially compared to my experiences at other hotels in Japan. The weather on February 6, the day of my arrival, was harsh—it was very windy as it was cold, and I had to walk from Seto bus stop to the hotel with two suitcases in freezing conditions. Exhausted from my flight and journey to Munakata, I had hoped for a more welcoming atmosphere. Instead, after a brief trip to a nearby Lawson to grab food, I returned to the hotel and waited in the lobby, as it was too cold to explore. By 2 PM, fatigue took over, and I lay down on the lobby couch to rest. Despite dozing off in the cold lobby, no staff member approached me. The heating system inside the hotel was weak, and I kept waking up from the biting cold. At 2:30 PM, I heard guests checking in, which surprised me—no one had informed me that I could start checking in earlier. When I lined up at the front desk, the same receptionist from earlier recognized me but seemed to push her colleague forward to assist me, which I found rude and unprofessional for a staff member at a four-star hotel. However, her colleague was kind and attentive. Since I speak Japanese, the check-in process went smoothly. There was an error on my part regarding my booking—I had mistakenly reserved my stay until February 10 instead of February 9. I explained this at the front desk, and the staff member tried to help but apologized, as the booking was made through a third-party site and couldn’t be refunded. I understood this and simply wanted to inform them of my earlier departure. The hotel itself is old but well-maintained. I stayed in a Japanese-style room, which, despite its age, was clean and comfortable. The air-conditioning unit was quite old, but amenities were available on the first floor. The hotel seems to be popular with families or tour groups. There are a lot of Korean guests as well. Even for a business hotel, customer service toward foreign solo travelers was severly lacking. It's embarassing to think that was the kind of training they gave their employees at a four star hotel. I'm writing this review while staying at Comfort Hotel, a cheaper chain of hotel but the omotenashi I received here is on another level. There isn’t much to do nearby Mercure Munakata. The closest kaisendon restaurant was about a 30-minute walk away. Unfortunately, the weather during my stay was terrible—windy and snowy—so I didn’t explore much. There was a church (?) next to the hotel, but nothing else of note. One of the highlights of the stay was the hot spring, which had both indoor and outdoor baths. I didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant, as the prices seemed high. A free shuttle bus is available to Togo Station, but you need to inform the front desk of your preferred departure time in advance. I didn’t take many photos of the hotel itself—there wasn’t much worth capturing besides the bath, where phones aren’t allowed. Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend this hotel? No, especially not for solo foreign travelers.
