Un hotel correcto en todo, las habitaciones no son muy grandes pero para unos días sin problema, la situación es muy buena y tienen un bar-restaurante en la última planta con unas vistas preciosas. El personal muy correcto. No puedo valorar más pq solo pasmos una noche y solo desayunamos en el hotel, el desayuno muy completo.

I endorse all the praises in the last batch of posts. Lovely staff, splendid rooms, great rooftop bar and pool. None could be faulted. Ten points out of ten. For those not acquainted with Chania I’d like to emphasise how well this hotel is located. It has an unhampered view of the sea. If you walk ten minutes eastwards you get to the quaint Old Town with its masses of shops, bars and restaurants. Ten minutes walk to the west take you to a much quieter bay with about a dozen restaurants most with tables only a few yards from the edge of the water. We ate there most evenings as they were more attractive and peaceful than those in the Old Town. Two more minutes walk will take you to the lido style beaches with sunbeds, easy safe swimming and some changing facilities. For the sea swimmer who is not daunted by a few rocks there is a protected bay less than two minutes from the hotel front door. It is accessed by steps and a railing and never crowded. Fantastic hotel in a fantastic location.

Sin duda uno de los mejores hoteles en los que me he quedado en Grecia. Este hotel tiene una ubicación estratégica en la ciudad de Heraklion, a pocos pasos del centro y a apenas un par de cuadras del Museo Arqueológico. Las habitaciones son impecables, con un aroma a cítrico muy refrescante, las paredes son anti sonido, el baño muy lindo. En cada habitación hay una tablet, algo que a veces se hace indispensable. Un punto extra es que este servicio tiene servicio de lavandería. El desayuno no está incluido pero tiene un costo razonable y es abundante y variado. Definitivamente lo recomiendo!

This apartment/hotel was faultless. The location is in the centre of Heraklion a stones throw from the bars and restaurants. Despite being central the hotel was very quiet at night. It is a new development, possibly less than a year old. Very clean and modern and everything works well. They email you codes to enter the hotel and your room, so no human interaction is required when you arrive. The apartments are stunning. There are two flat screen TVs and they have provided everything you may need for your stay. We didn’t use the kitchen but all the equipment was present had we chosen to. The bathroom was well appointed and had a spacious rain shower. Air conditioning in all rooms was very effective.

El hotel no está mal pero no es un hotel boutique. Yo diría que es un hotel gama media, grande y anónimo. El personal cumple su papel con eficiencia pero no es especialmente amable. La habitación era grande con una terraza enorme pero apenas separada de la habitación de al lado, lo cual le quitaba intimidad. Sin duda lo peor el baño. Olía un poco a cañerías pero además la ducha solo era de mano ya que por su construcción no pudieron ponerla ni en el techo ni alta en la pared. Muy incómoda!!! El desayuno bien. La ubicación muy bien.

Los apartamentos están a 10 minutos a pie de la ciudad principal y a 5-6 minutos de la playa. Hay muchos lindos cafés cerca para el desayuno. Aunque se llama un apartamento no hay cocina para preparar una pequeña comida- sólo cocina, cafetera y nevera. Quizás debí haber comprobado lo que se incluyó en la cocina antes de reservar. No tuvimos una gran experiencia en las primeras 2 noches, ya que el AC no estaba enfriando en nuestra habitación y nos preparamos para comprobar en lugar de arruinar nuestras vacaciones, pero se ofreció un apartamento diferente donde el AC funcionaba bien. El hotel está muy bien situado en el centro de la ciudad, y el hotel está muy bien situado en el centro de la ciudad.

The hotel location is okay, a little busy with evening street noise. The ”suite” is a room with an open plan bathroom design (shower and sinks are in the room, which is quite odd). The bed was not very comfortable. Breakfast was fair, nothing special.

I had a pleasant 7 night stay here at this accommodation while in Heraklion, Crete. It belongs to the Lato Boutique, which is the main hotel. The Annex is right opposite and required card access to enter. Room was the Economy room (15 sq. metres), a little on the small side, but good enough for a solo traveller. The room was right next to the stairwell and the lift, so there were times I could hear people moving about, but at night it was very quiet, and there were no sleep disruptions. Bed was comfy, air-conditioning was also good. The shower was also good, with shampoo and soap provided, though I noticed it was running a little low towards the end of my stay (i.e., no refills were done). I also appreciated that a luggage rack was provided, along with two bottles of water on check-in day. Fridge was big enough to fit lots of mineral water bottles to keep them cold, which would be a great reprieve in the summer time. Room safe was incredibly huge as well, it can easily store laptops securely, if needed. The elevator door got stuck on the day of check-out, but still worked, so not too big of an issue there. Wi-Fi requires a special code that you can get from the reception. My first code strangely stopped working after two days, but was promptly rectified after I informed the reception of the issue. There were no other connectivity issues for me. The hotel location is pretty near to the Venetian Port, and the Rocca Fortress; it is also walking distance away from the main shopping street in Heraklion and lots of good eating places nearby. There are also supermarkets nearby to get water as well. It does get quiet at night, but I did not encounter any incidents that made me feel unsafe. My room came with buffet breakfast included, which is served in the main building. Breakfast starts service from 7 am onwards, and was generally quite crowded at the start. Depending on the crowd level, the staff will occasionally open up a new section of the dining area. Breakfast was generally good, there was a good spread of American breakfast items, to pastries, ham and cheese and even Greek yogurt with a lot of condiments. It varied a little bit from day-to-day, but was generally the same for the most part.

Good location, excellent service and amazing staff. They were very friendly and our room was very clean and tidy. Also it was smelling freshness when we entered the room. Everyday they ask you if you want your room to be cleaned and they are always available to help you. I 100% recommend it and will definitely stay again!

Hay una distancia de un barrio con el barrio de la calle de la compra, a cinco minutos a pie del mar y a cuatro kilómetros del aeropuerto. La suite es excelente y hay un balcón. El hotel está limpio y está muy limpio. La residencia original a las 2 p.m. es muy intimidatoria para informar a las 10 p.m. Si vuelve a Creta, tendrá que elegir este hotel. La única falta es que no hay gimnasio.

Simply amazing decor to match the great history of Crete, particularly the Minoan civilization; clean spaces; and excellent communication for late arrival to the hotel. Perfectly located within walking distance to the Archaeological Museum, yummy seafood restaurants, the bus and taxi stations, if one wants to visit the birthplace of Zeus/cave or the famous monastery. The manager, his son, and Mary were very friendly and welcoming. It was wonderful to hear Mary’s historical knowledge of ancient Pharaonic and Hellas civilizations-- the bosom friends of the ancient Khmer civilization. Cheers!

This is a fantastic hotel tucked into what seems like a residential area. Easy walking to restaurants and only a 20 euro cab ride from the airport. These are like small apartments rather than a hotel room. There is a kitchen with a washing machine (this is huge when traveling with kids). Because it’s residential it’s quiet at night you can hear people in the halls but that wasn’t a problem. It has a small pool which is perfect to cool off in. The living room has spots for 2 people to sleep and the bedroom sleeps 2 people comfortably. I would definitely stay here again. I am not sure how far it is to the city center. We did 2 planned excursions and was only there for 3 days so I didn’t do everything.

Great Room, Deluxe room feels spacious and staff is always helpful

We stayed for nine days and had a wonderful time. The staff were incredibly accomodating and always very helpful. The location is perfect. Our room overlooked a quiet street and the hotel is five minutes walk from the sea front at the port so there is excellent shopping and dining close by. The hotel has been recently renovated so is modern and was very clean. The room was fine, the beds comfortable, there was a smart TV and the bathroom had a rain shower. My one complaint abour the room is the lack or wardrobe space for two people on a longer stay. There was just one tiny wardrobe. The buffet breakfast was very varied with a different selection every day and all was of very good quality. The cleaning staff were perhaps a tad over insistent on occasions and almost rushed us to leave the room after breakfast, but it was not a great inconvenience. We also managed to find a car park just a short walk away. I would certainly stay there again.

El hotel es un hotel muy agradable, pero, aunque su ubicación cerca de la estación de autobús suena negativa, ha facilitado la información de viaje y no ha habido ruido por tener un buen ruido. Se trataba de una breve caminata a todas las vistas de la Ciudad Vieja de Chania y el puerto de Venecia. El personal amigable y útil, el decor moderno, los excelentes desayunos - (entre los mejores que hemos tenido en cualquier lugar,) piscina brillante, piano de noche ocasional, limpieza, fueron todos de primera clase.

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Domus Renier hotel as part of a short break in Chania at the end of a longer stay in Crete. What a fabulous hotel to finish our holiday in. It is a beautiful old building in a great part of the old town, the room was super clean and comfortable and the view over the old town was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and helpful but a special shout out to Ramona for showing us places to go and places to eat which was great. Breakfasts at the hotel are excellent - it’s like a traditional English afternoon tea but at breakfast and the main courses were really lovely, especially the avocado mousse and poached eggs on brioche. Everything about our stay was lovely and I would highly recommend for a stay here in Chania.

How lucky I was to have chosen Notus Hotel! Perfect central location in old Chania town and yet quiet and peaceful. All points of interest are within walking distance as are excellent restaurants and bars. The room is well equiped; A/C, comfortable large bed, fridge (which had water, a beer and small bottle of wine for free), kettle, coffee machine, plates and cutlery. The bathroom has a hair dryer, shampoo and soap. All is soptless! Loved the Saturday street market bemow my balcony! The owner, Manolis, is the perfect host! He is there to greet you in the morning and you can ask him about anything, always helpful and he gives great advice on where to go and what not to miss. And a big thank you to Monica, who is part of the cleaning staff, for he good mood and kind smile you offer every morning. If I come back to Chania, I’ll be back at Notus !

El hotel es un hotel muy agradable, el personal de limpieza era atento y amable, el personal de la mesa delantera era alegre y muy útil cuando necesito algunas medicinas el domingo, buscaban una farmacia abierta y luego se llamaban a asegurarse. ¡Qué lugar ideal!

L’appartement est très bien situé au centre d’Héraklion. Il est à 20 minutes d’auto à partir de l’aéroport. Sur la même rue, il y a un parking souterrain payant (12 euros) que nous avons utilisé à 5 occasions sans aucun problème. Il y a aussi une épicerie, des boulangeries, des restaurants et une multitude de commerces tout autour. Géographiquement, l’emplacement est idéal. Nous avons résidé à l’appartement 1 du 4e étage. Une chambre fermée, une salle de bains, un grand salon - cuisine. Le balcon est toutefois le point fort de cet appartement. Il est grand, et on y relaxe bien en fin de journée. Le matin, on vous laisse à déjeuner pour deux: céréales, lait, œufs, confitures, pain, etc. Cependant , l’appartement aurait besoin d’un peu plus d’équipement: micro-ondes, ciseaux, grille-pain, planche à repasser, commodes, cintres (il n’y en avait que 6)… Pour ce qui est de la salle de bains, elle est très petite et elle manque cruellement de tablettes pour s’organiser. Hormis cela, nous pouvons affirmer que l’appartement est parfait pour un court séjour de 2-3 nuits. Quand vous y restez pour plus d’une semaine, vous vous rendez compte, à ce moment, du manque d’équipement. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et font de leur mieux pour répondre à nos besoins.

A pleasant hotel very centrally located to all the main attractions in Heraklion. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated and it is very clean and comfortable for a short stay. The staff a helpful and friendly. Probably not four star in the Australian sense but suits its purpose.
