The hotel is in a great location the staff are very helpful & pleasent however the hotel & rooms are tired & a bit small.
There isn't a fridge in the room, the bathroom nightlight didn't work nor did the hairdryer it was also not possible to turn the towel heating rail off so having it on all day & night caused the room to be constantly hot (no air con).
The bathroom is small however the shower was excellent unfortunately the shower tray had a couple of large cracks which had been covered over with (discoloured) tape which made it look scruffy.
Breakfast was average, the breakfast room looked like it was waiting for an overhaul & the food was limited but ok.
Not sure I would stay here again there are other hotels for a similar price that, despite the lack of sea view, are far superior.

I’ve booked Low Wood Bay a few times but this was the first time using trip.com - we got an excellent deal and the customer service was brilliant from both trip.com and Low Wood Bay. There had been heavy snowfall so things were a bit up in the air with whether we would be coming or not due to road closures but the staff were brilliant. Thankfully we did get to come for the night and we’d booked the spa the following day. It is one of the best spas I have been to. The views are stunning. The hotel itself is really lovely, fantastic location, extremely clean and all the staff were super friendly. Will definitely be coming to stay again and can’t recommend enough for a relaxing break.

La experiencia en el hotel es muy mala. Habitación más de cuatro horas en el día, damos nuestra habitación, ni siquiera la recepción se encuentra. Después de la estadía, descubrimos que habíamos reservado dos camas de doble, sino una cama de doble, más dos camas simples de un solo, se negoció en la recepción, se dijo que la habitación estaba llena, y la segunda parte sólo tenía una solución. A las diez de la noche, se dio cuenta de que una de las camas sencillas estaba deprimida. Se dio cuenta de que faltaban tres barras de madera para abrir la cama. Se volvió a negociar en la recepción. El gerente de la clase nocturna dijo que era el gerente del restaurante. El gerente de la cama podría añadir primero una cama y resolverlo el día siguiente, El día siguiente, el cambio de cama sencilla en cama de acero fue menos que la de la noche anterior. La noche siguiente, con un bono de 5 libras de liquidación para cambiar la habitación de huéspedes no limpiado, se dio cuenta de que el precio de pago no era el mismo que el precio de compra. Después de comer, realmente, el sistema de precios del bar tiene un problema, pero el servidor del bar volvió con el menú, y colocó el menú en nuestro lado, La expresión en la comida también es bastante incómoda. Lamento británico falso. Este hotel no vale este precio en absoluto.

The WiFi connection was quite poor, not sure if it’s because we were at a corner room, but everything else was great, very clean and spacious room, will definitely consider again upon our next visit to the Lake District

Lovely hotel room was smaller than expected and also the bathroom but it had everything we needed and was lovely and clean the breakfast was lovely catered for my gluten intolerance and the staff were really lovely especially Olivia who served us drinks for both nights nothing was too much trouble for her would highly recommend and we will be back

Esta casa fue construida en 1850. Esta casa puede ser comprobada por una contraseña. La cama es suave y cómoda, la habitación es muy caliente, y el agua caliente es suficiente. Es un poco lejos de la estación de ferrocarril, pero muy cerca del lago. ¡Una buena experiencia de viaje!

UUsuario invitadoRum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself.
We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area.
Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too.
We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful.
After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks.
We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

UUsuario invitado”We stayed at this homestay for three nights. We arrived around 11:00 pm, but the host uncle still welcomed us very warmly!! That night we didn’t really notice the outside layout, but the next morning we saw that the garden is absolutely beautiful.
We stayed in Room No. 3 – a very artistic queen/king bed room with a jacuzzi, some snacks, milk, and bottled water. The room layout is exquisite, and you can tell the host put a lot of love into it 💝
Breakfast was also delicious!! There are several set options to choose from – just let the host know the day before. There’s also a small fridge in the room where you can store your own drinks. Breakfast includes bread, small snacks, and orange juice.
I really highly recommend it (loved it 😘 – it feels like home). The homestay has only five rooms, so availability is quite limited, but I still want to recommend it to as many people as possible!”

SSimon & Kathleen ArmstrongWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stafford Guest House. The property is beautiful, set within peaceful surroundings and complemented by a lovely garden.
We stayed in the four-poster bedroom, which was spacious, tastefully decorated, and perfectly balanced comfort with a touch of luxury. It also offered delightful views overlooking the garden.
Our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, providing engaging conversation as well as helpful local recommendations. Everything was clearly explained upon arrival, making the entire experience smooth and effortless from the very beginning.
Breakfast was both delicious and generous in portion. Additionally, there is a charming village pub just a short walk away — The Boot & Shoe Inn — which added to the experience.
We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

風格是那種比較傳統的英式，硬裝甚至有點法式的感覺，房間和衞生間都是大大的窗户，白色紗窗，衞浴五金質感也很好。這個房間還有一個門可以直接出去，很方便。
就是工作人員不多，早餐預留半個小時吃，有三個套餐可選，冷盤，熱餐之類的。
退房的時候前台沒人，把鑰匙放在前台桌上的收納盆裏，行李放到了前台邊上，後面被工作人員收到了後廚保管，還是很貼心的。

位置：離車站走路10多分鐘，要上下坡。距離湖區主要的公交大約10分鐘路程。距離温德米爾中心也是10分鐘左右。位置很幽靜，相當不錯。
早餐：很好吃，英式標準早餐，提供酸奶果汁咖啡麪包，全套英國早餐，還有店家自製的各種蛋糕、派。是這家店最值得推薦的地方，為男女主人的手藝點贊。

MMiranda☺️I recently stayed at the Woodlands Hotel in the Lake District, and I was very pleased with the experience. First of all, the breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options including fresh salmon, which was a nice touch. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, giving it a homely feel. The hotel is also in a convenient location, with a nearby bus stop that makes it easy to reach the main attractions in the Lake District. Overall, it’s a great value hotel with attentive service. Highly recommended!

As other guests were using same toilet and shower which was slippery if someone else had used shower. Owners were lovely and helpful. Didn't have breakfast there but other guests staying there said it was lovely.£10 per person for traditional English breakfast or continental. Would definitely recommend it but stay in ensuite with your own toilet and shower
