Spent a very enjoyable evening with friends we hadn't seen for a long time. Unfortunately all through our meal overloud music was played causing the people at the next table to begin shouting at each other over the music causing the next table to shout over the music and the shouting from the first and so the ripple effect continued throughout the room resulting in a completely unnecessary loud environment. Why play loud music during a meal at all and why couldn't a member of staff ask whether the music was too loud or even whether customers wanted it at all during their meal?

The hotel was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. Unfortunately, there was not a lot of disabled parking,our only criticism. The reception team were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. The restaurant excelled our expectations for the evening meal and breakfast. Staff were very efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Really recommend it as a great experience.

A colleague and I were in the area on business and he booked rooms for both of us. We arrived just as the kitchen was closing, but check in was very quick and the staff were very accommodating to ensure that we were able to order food, before we went to our rooms to freshen up. We were called to advise that dinner was served and we enjoyed a very nice meal in a lovely (Christmassy) surroundings, and a couple of good local beers. The rooms themselves were well proportioned, very clean and with a brilliant shower and I slept well. We'd ordered breakfast, which consisted of cold and hot options, and which was also served with a smile. Private parking was available, though it was a little tricky to access up a narrow side street with a very sharp turn. Be careful when coming to the hotel, as the road is easy to miss. Overall, our overnight stay was very enjoyable, made better by the above examples of staff being extremely friendly and helpful. If I need a room in the Llandeilo area again, I will not hesitate to stay at The Cawdor.
