First, the service provided by the housekeeper, Xiao Su, was outstanding. From helping with luggage to offering thoughtful suggestions, he was hands-on and attentive. He not only shared the best times to visit nearby attractions but also gave timely reminders for breakfast and sunset views. His attention to detail and genuine care made us feel very welcome. The environment at the minsu was also fantastic. We chose to visit in the non-peak period, from the end of October to November, when it was peaceful and chilly. It’s the perfect time for anyone looking to escape city noise and enjoy a calm atmosphere. The sunset is early here, so savoring a hot coffee while watching it was simply delightful. The food was a wonderful surprise too. Each booking comes with a complimentary set of homemade bread and coffee—a comforting local touch that’s especially warming when you arrive in the cool weather. The room was incredibly spacious. For anyone who loves extra room, this place is highly recommended. The suite included a small living area, a large bathtub, a spacious bathroom, and even a mini tatami area with a TV—unique and cozy. Overall, Xipo Zhongwei Resort Minsu added so much joy to our trip. I highly recommend visiting during the chilly, quiet season from late October to November for an ideal experience.

We came to Yinchuan to visit Helan Rock painting mountain an Xixia tomb so we didn't see downtown that much. The hotel is in the center of the district, near the drum tower, surrounded by stores and restaurants, easily to find everything you need. The staff of the hotel didn't speak English but they're polite and kind. On the day we checked out there's a misunderstanding: they said we had to pay them while we had already prepaid via TRIP.com. We showed them the receipt in Chinese but they couldn't find it in their system. After 15 mins they let us go. We confusedly contacted TRIP customer service and were informed clearly there's no problem at all with our payment. TRIP dealt with the hotel themselves. I wouldn't complain the hotel about this since such thing could happen but I suggest you to always keep the receipt in Chinese and contact TRIP customer service suddenly and let them deal with the hotel, especially if your train is about to leave the station :)

Modern, clean, just really really good all round. Exceptionally well priced as well. The only downside would be the location on the edge of the city. Need to walk or take the bus for about 2 km.

The hotel is surrounded by parks and has a decent-sized supermarket right next to it. It was about an 8 minute ride to Yinchuan Station, and from the north facing windows you can see the new CBD, also about 8 minutes away by taxi. The room was bright and quiet at my end of the hotel. The breakfast was substantial.

First of all, the hotel accepts foreigners (as of April 2024). It's a four-star hotel, and the facilities are typical of such hotels in China - very good. The staff was also kind and helpful. It's possible to store your luggage for free before check in and after check out. The location is a bit of a mixed bag, but that's more due to the fact that Yinchuan station is quite far from the city center (about one hour by bus). The hotel itself is located very close to the city center, but there aren't too many things to do there. Still, public transportation is quite accessible from the hotel, and of course, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Overall, good value for money, especially since cheaper hotels don't seem to accept foreigners.
