«the hotel is small, but the room is nice, in the old town & night market. There are many shops & restaurants around and a shopping mall is just cross the street. The only thing is the car can’t access directly to the front of the hotel near to walk to the major road. The receptionist is very friendly & helpful even-though she is only one to take care the whole tasks. We recommend the owner should hire 1 more staff to assist the front desk, so the check in will not consume lots of time & waiting.»

«Everything was amazing! But as someone who values cleanliness above everything this hotel have fantastic job in that area! I also like to mention that in the laundry room when you do the washing or drying, you’re able to scan a QR code and it will give you the waiting time on a WeChat mini program and it will also tell you when it’s finished. it will also tell you how many machines are free and how many are in use, which I think is such a small detail but so convenient for travellers. The hotel shares the same building with another hotel, but you don’t feel crowded at all. A small suggestion would be to recommend to the hotel that the breakfast have some halal options as there are many Muslims and Lanzhou. I cannot recommend this exquisite home stay highly enough! My five-day visit was nothing short of perfection, from the moment I arrived until my warm departure.
As a female solo traveler from abroad, safety and welcome are my top priorities, and this family went above and beyond to make me feel like part of their home. My journey began with a incredibly gracious complimentary pick-up from Dunhuang airport, which immediately eased any travel fatigue.
The hospitality only blossomed from there. The host family provided me with such genuine individual attention, offering personalized advice for visiting the breathtaking Crescent Moon Lake and the awe-inspiring Mogao Grottoes. Their tips were invaluable and helped me experience these wonders to the fullest.
Now, the food! Each meal was a delight—authentic, home-cooked, and prepared fresh with so much care. It was truly delicious and gave me a real taste of local cuisine.
My room was a haven of comfort and cleanliness, kept absolutely spotless throughout my stay. A wonderful daily touch was the replenishment of complimentary beverages: refreshing peach tea, pure water, and delicious coconut water—perfect after a day of exploring the desert.
The most touching moment came upon my departure when the hosts presented me with exquisite souvenirs from the Mogao Grottoes. It was a gesture of such kindness and generosity that I will forever cherish.
This home stay is a gem, perfectly suited for solo travelers seeking a safe and welcoming environment, couples looking for a unique retreat, or families wanting an authentic experience. Valarie474The Trip.com listing name does not match the actual hotel name, which created confusion on arrival and with food delivery throughout the stay. The taxi dropped me at the building but the ground floor is a restaurant, with no clear hotel entrance. I messaged the hotel on WeChat asking for directions. They replied that someone would come out to meet me. I waited fifteen minutes with no one arriving and no further response, despite repeated follow-up messages, before they finally sent written directions, which is what I had asked for in the first place.
The room did not match the listing photos. It was significantly smaller than advertised, with barely enough space to open a suitcase. The window did not close completely, letting in constant street noise from buses and traffic. The walls are extremely thin. Neighbor noise and door slamming were audible at all hours, and passing buses caused the room to vibrate. I had requested a quiet room.
Front desk communication was inconsistent. Staff do not speak English, which WeChat is meant to bridge. When a food delivery was not loaded into the delivery robot, I messaged the front desk and waited fifteen minutes with no action. I went down and found the food sitting behind the reception counter while two staff members chatted nearby.
Sustainability is not a consideration. Every item, including towels and the robe, is individually plastic-wrapped.

Usuario invitado¡Este hotel merece una reseña de cinco estrellas! La estancia fue realmente excepcional; nos atendieron con esmero en todo momento y lo recomiendo ampliamente.
Al llegar, el personal nos recibió con calidez y nos ayudó con el equipaje, facilitándonos todo. Al registrarnos, la recepción nos ofreció agua caliente y toallitas desinfectantes, lo que nos permitió desinfectarnos y descansar antes de entrar. Su atención al detalle fue impecable, haciéndonos sentir seguros y cómodos desde el momento en que entramos.
Mención especial merecen Xiao Cheng y Xiao Zhang; su servicio fue excepcional. Fueron amables, pacientes y siempre sonrientes, lo que nos hizo sentir increíblemente a gusto. Incluso nos ayudaron con el equipaje en el ascensor, explicándonos con detalle los restaurantes del hotel, el horario del desayuno y cómo usar la lavandería de autoservicio en el sexto piso, todo con mucha claridad y amabilidad.
¡Una sorpresa aún mayor fue la mejora gratuita a una habitación inteligente!
El personal nos explicó todo con paciencia al entrar en la habitación. Todas las instalaciones eran gratuitas, incluso el yogur y los aperitivos, un detalle generoso y considerado. La habitación estaba limpia y ordenada, y los dispositivos inteligentes eran prácticos y modernos, lo que hizo que la estancia fuera muy cómoda.
Lo más agradable fue el servicio de baño de pies gratuito. Nos proporcionaron bolsitas desechables y sales de baño, y un baño de pies alivió instantáneamente el cansancio del día. Un detalle tan considerado es realmente excepcional.
Para cualquier necesidad, bastaba con llamar a recepción. El desayuno del día siguiente también fue excepcionalmente variado, delicioso y con muchas opciones: una comida muy satisfactoria.
Desde el registro de entrada hasta el de salida, todo fue cómodo y tranquilizador. El servicio de Xiao Cheng y Xiao Zhang fue un gran punto a favor; su entusiasmo, atención y profesionalidad dejaron una impresión imborrable.
Al viajar por la zona, alojarse en este hotel es sin duda una apuesta segura. Ofrece una excelente relación calidad-precio, un servicio magnífico, y sin duda volveré a elegir este hotel la próxima vez. ¡Lo recomiendo de todo corazón!

¡Dunhuang es increíble! El hotel es fantástico, e incluso durante el Año Nuevo Chino, no subió los precios de forma desorbitada como en otras ciudades; el precio era muy razonable. Tan pronto como llegó nuestro coche, el personal nos recibió con entusiasmo, nos ayudó con el equipaje y nos acompañó hasta la habitación, charlando amablemente con nosotros durante todo el trayecto. Hacía mucho tiempo que no sentía una bienvenida tan cálida. No recuerdo ningún otro hotel durante mis viajes donde nos hayan llevado el equipaje hasta la habitación. El hotel está limpio y el personal es muy amable. Además, Dunhuang está impecable. Se nota el esfuerzo de la gente de Dunhuang por mantener esta ciudad llena de historia y cultura. ¡Me encanta la gente de Dunhuang! La próxima vez que vaya, definitivamente me hospedaré aquí de nuevo.

We made a mistake choosing this hotel: the word “international” led us to believe it would be better prepared to receive foreign guests, but that was not our experience.
That said, the staff’s service was excellent at all times. Although they did not speak English, they consistently made the effort to use translation tools to communicate with us and assist us in the best possible way, which we truly appreciated.
The hotel was almost empty. The first breakfast took place in a huge dining area where we were the only guests, which meant the variety was quite limited. There was some Chinese food and a coffee machine, but there were no options commonly expected by international travelers, such as fruit, cereals, yogurt, or bread. That same day, we were informed that the rest of the breakfasts would be delivered directly to our room. The staff made a continuous effort to ensure we felt comfortable with this arrangement, confirming the delivery time with us each day.
The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the cleanliness did not match the hotel’s level and price: the carpet had visible stains, and finding a toothpick at the entrance made it clear that cleaning standards were not adequate. In addition, the amount of shampoo and soap provided was extremely limited—again, not consistent with the quality one would expect given the building and overall appearance of the hotel.
In summary, we would like to highlight the kindness and dedication of the staff, but we believe the hotel still has important aspects to improve, especially regarding international standards and cleanliness.

Good location near major sites and restaurants are nearby and walkable to Datang food street. The reception Staff and those serving breakfast are fantastic. The food is varied.
The Queen business room is sizeable but I found the shower room needs hooks to hang my clothes and draining can be problematic if I use a lot of water.
The air conditioner was not working apparently they were doing some refurbishing.
Overall the location, breakfast. Room size and staff give a good value
